Ch. 6161. The three of you have worked hard

Wells and his teammates fought another adventuring party over an A-Rank Magic Crystal, then rested after winning it. Wells woke up tied and heard Ralph screaming, with no one else in sight.

  • Wells fought off a hunter and his hound while Jini used Potential Stimulation to strengthen their team.
  • The opposing leader surrendered the A-Rank Magic Crystal and fled with his teammates, leaving the hunter's unconscious dog behind.
  • Ralph, Wells, and the dwarf grew exhausted, so Jini went to collect the monster corpses while they rested.
  • Wells woke up tied up, found Ralph missing, and heard Ralph screaming nearby.

Ch. 62Mysterious Ritual

Jini used a silver ritual to erase Wells’s skills and kill him, while Linden confirmed the ritual’s effects by decomposing the bodies. Linden then prepared to install Mimicry LV4 on Little Black, gathering mana across the Fifth Floor.

  • The mage escaped after Puji stripped him of his clothes and equipment for betraying his temporary party.
  • Jini dragged the bound Wells to a ritual circle, erased his skills, and killed him as Ralph and the dwarf lay dead nearby.
  • Linden tested the remains and confirmed that the ritual had removed Wells’s skills, then let the Little Yellow Book out briefly before sealing it away again.
  • Linden coaxed Little Black into a hallucinogenic sleep and began gathering mana from across the Fifth Floor to install Mimicry LV4 on her.

Ch. 6363. Dark, Thick, and Big

Linden tried to teach Little Black to mimic a human, but she turned into an oversized black Puji and went exploring instead. Dylan left to deliver Linden’s letter and an S-Rank Magic Crystal to Inanna, while Little Black led two Pujis through the sixth floor to a group of Treants.

  • Linden failed to teach Little Black to mimic Dylan and let her leave in Puji form after warning her not to attack humans first.
  • Dylan accepted Linden’s letter and an S-Rank Magic Crystal for Inanna, then set out to visit Cole at Rotten Willow Tavern.
  • Little Black played with a neurotoxic Slime and smashed it, splashing one of her Puji followers with red slime.
  • Little Black led the two Pujis through the sixth floor’s plant-monster territories without getting distracted.
  • After traveling for much of the day, Linden saw that Little Black had found Treants in the Dungeon.

Ch. 64The news leaked, as expected

Linden explored a hidden Emerald Secret Realm on the sixth floor, where Little Black fought Treant Demons and accidentally encountered adventurers. At Twilight Castle, the Vampire emperor learned that humans planned to summon a Hero and ordered Eleanor and Knoxfell to kill the Hero after the summoning.

  • Little Black destroyed the Treant Demons while Linden had a Puji scatter spores to test whether mushrooms could grow among the forest's moss.
  • Little Black got lost returning to the main road, then stretched back to attack a green-clad adventurer until Linden shouted for her to stop.
  • The Vampire emperor convened the Empire's nobles, and Sigismund appeared after Eleanor speculated that he had fallen into a human duke's trap.
  • The emperor revealed a secret letter reporting that humans planned to summon a Hero with help from the Western Isles.
  • The emperor ordered Eleanor and Knoxfell to kill the Hero after the summoning, and said the Empire would go to war if they failed.

Ch. 65Rotten Willow Tavern Gone?

Dylan stayed at the Golden Sunwood Tavern after the Rotten Willow Tavern was sealed, sent his boss’s letter and an S-Rank Magic Crystal, and hired an information broker to find Bella. Meanwhile, Mirabelle failed to get the drunken Oberon to review a report on Puji’s effects in the dungeon, leaving him indifferent to Mute Wind Town and awaiting exile.

  • Dylan heard adventurers argue about a powerful black mushroom seen on the Sixth Floor and recognized the story as possibly familiar.
  • Dylan learned that Cole had been arrested for stealing equipment from dead adventurers and that the Rotten Willow Tavern had been sealed.
  • Dylan sent his boss’s letter and an S-Rank Magic Crystal through the Guild’s correspondence network, then paid an information broker to find Bella.
  • Mirabelle brought Oberon a report on dungeon changes caused by Puji, but he dismissed it without reading it.
  • Oberon told Mirabelle he believed headquarters had restored him as branch president only to make him a scapegoat before exiling him to the Archipelago.

Ch. 6666. Unable to win even with all my might

Eric received a sealed package for Inanna containing a letter and an S-Rank Magic Crystal, checked both for danger, and brought them to her training session. After Inanna defeated Calvin in their duel, Julian told her Eric had brought a package, leaving her curious about its contents.

  • Josh delivered a red-sealed package for Inanna to Eric at the Duke's Mansion.
  • Eric checked the letter and S-Rank Magic Crystal for danger and carried the box to the training field.
  • Inanna overwhelmed Calvin with her spells and defeated him after trapping him with Mud Swamp Art.
  • Julian ended the duel and pointed out that neither Inanna nor Calvin had used equipment.
  • Julian told Inanna that Eric had brought her a package, and she asked in confusion whether it was hers.

Ch. 6767. Set a Price While Sitting

Inanna recognized that a letter offering an S-Rank Magic Crystal for information about the Amethyst Dungeon had come from Boss and tried to help him despite being confined to the Duke's Mansion. Dylan sought information about Bella in Mute Wind Town, where a broker demanded twenty gold, and Dylan attacked the broker and his thugs when he realized they were exploiting him.

  • Inanna recognized Boss's tiny Pink Puji mark on the letter and wrote a reply while Eric agreed to send it.
  • Eric decided to investigate Dylan Slick, the letter's recipient, after Inanna asked him to mail her reply.
  • Dylan received Inanna's letter and went to a Mute Wind Town information broker to learn about Bella.
  • The broker said Bella had gone to the Archipelago and demanded twenty gold for further details, so Dylan left to get the money.
  • Dylan suddenly attacked the broker's thugs with Ice Spike and Phantom Clone, wounded them with his sword, and seized the terrified broker.

Ch. 68Traces

Aiden searched a party of adventurers for stolen equipment while Dylan entered the Dungeon and learned that Bella had gone to the Archipelago to save someone. Boss contacted Dylan on the First Floor and sent him to kill a huge Slime, where he discovered the nearby Puji were unusually weak.

  • Aiden found a helmet and pauldrons matching victims’ equipment in an adventurer party’s packs, and the guild commander detained the party for questioning.
  • Dylan bypassed the inspection, followed fungal threads to a Fungal Carpet, and left his bundle there.
  • Dylan reflected on learning that Bella had gone to Silver Sand Bay in Grossa’s territory to save someone, and worried she might face the slave owner.
  • Boss contacted Dylan on the First Floor and directed him to kill a large Slime nearby.
  • Dylan killed the Slime with two sword strikes and wondered why the Puji attacking it had seemed so weak.

Ch. 6969. Why Don't We Go Together?

Linden prepared a powerful Puji to explore the outside world while Dylan returned and asked to leave for the Archipelago to help his daughter, Bella. Linden considered Dylan’s long absence and suggested he wait a couple more days, with the chapter ending before he explained why.

  • Dylan’s Greed plundered several skills, but he still failed to learn Common Tongue, so Linden planned to have Dylan teach him.
  • Linden suppressed slimes on the upper floors with weaker Pujis while prioritizing the spread of the Mycelium Network.
  • Linden prepared a heavily enhanced Puji with a B-rank symbiotic crystal, intending to raise it to A-rank and send it outside to explore.
  • Dylan told Linden that Bella was likely in danger in the Archipelago and asked to leave, planning to hire adventurers to help her.
  • Linden realized Dylan could be gone for months and suggested that he wait a couple more days.

Ch. 7070. Vampire Duke

Vampire Duke Eleanor prepared to infiltrate the Hero’s summoning site and help assassinate him, while managing plasma shortages and tensions within her territory. She left her manor disguised as a dead blood servant, after ordering Lacus to create chaos and awaiting Shadow Demon Knoxfell’s involvement.

  • Eleanor’s steward reported that plasma supplies were low, Ranch No. 45 had been attacked, and only thirty-seven newly arrived slaves qualified as blood servants.
  • Eleanor ordered the five orc candidates kept for Count Duke, prioritized Barnabas’s plasma, and threatened to punish Arno if he failed to catch the thieves.
  • Eleanor drained a high-grade blood servant to death, then used her [Substitute LV10] talent to take the girl’s appearance and memories.
  • Eleanor learned that Knoxfell had been missing since leaving his residence and agreed to send Lacus to create chaos near the Hero’s summoning site.
  • Eleanor dismissed concerns about passing through Duke Sigismund’s territory, transformed into a bat, and flew out of Night Lily Manor.

Ch. 7171. A World Where Only the Captain Works Hard

Nova struggled to manage Red Stone City while Night Owl’s reckless policing drove merchants away, until the Supreme Council summoned adventurers and priests to Oath City. The group set off to escort three priests, and Night Owl spotted something ahead two days into the journey.

  • Nova confronted Night Owl for disguising herself to entrap foreign merchants, whose complaints followed a twenty-percent drop in trade.
  • Nova received the Supreme Council’s request to escort Church of Light priests to Oath City and held a vote; Nova, Ivan, and Garr agreed to go, while Night Owl refused.
  • Nova arranged for Garr to prepare supplies, Night Owl to prepare potions, and someone else to take over the city’s duties.
  • Nova and his companions departed with three gold-rank priests from Red Stone City, while Night Owl wondered whether the kingdom was preparing for war.
  • Two days into the journey, Night Owl spotted something ahead and told the others to wake up and scout.

Ch. 7272. Dylan, You've Been Buffed

Dylan tested his new [Acceleration] skill by fighting four Puji, then agreed to receive [Magic Storage] before setting out. On the road, Nova's group rescued a convoy from wind wolves and offered to take the priest, Mena, to Oath City.

  • Dylan woke in the mushroom house and discovered Linden had given him [Acceleration LV6].
  • Dylan fought four Puji, using his improved speed to evade them and land a blow before Linden called the test off.
  • Linden told Dylan to lie back down so he could add [Magic Storage] before their journey.
  • Ivan spotted wind wolves attacking a convoy, and Night Owl, Nova, Ivan, and Garr rushed to help.
  • Night Owl killed the wolves that broke through the soldiers' formation, while a spellcaster froze the rest, including the Wind Wolf King.
  • Night Owl rescued Mena from the forest, and Nova offered to take the damaged convoy's priest to Oath City.

Ch. 7373. Night Owl, what are you doing?

Nova and the Silver Thorn squad attended a Hero summoning in Oath City, where Night Owl suddenly rushed toward a knight captain during the ritual. In the Mushroom Forest, Scout Puji departed through an Escape Scroll while Dylan prepared to meet it outside.

  • Nova, Ivan, Garr, and Night Owl learned that Oath City was under martial law so they could help guard the Hero summoning.
  • The Archbishop of Light began the ritual at Triumphal Square as priests rang bells and recited a prayer.
  • Ivan recognized that the summoning array seemed familiar, while Nova noticed Night Owl watching a knight captain.
  • Night Owl merged into the shadows and rushed toward the knight captain, leaving Nova, Ivan, and Garr aghast.
  • Linden wrapped Scout Puji in fluffy hyphae as a cushion, and Scout Puji used an Escape Scroll to teleport away.

Ch. 74Photosynthesis

Linden sent Scout to the forest south of Amethyst Dungeon, where Scout defeated a pack of wind wolves and found grasses with a magic-generating Photosynthesis skill that could help Dylan. Elsewhere, Night Owl attacked a knight squad leader and revealed a Shadow Demon, which threw her aside and rushed toward an activated summoning array containing a faint human figure.

  • Scout emerged beneath a sky with three moons and landed in the forest south of Amethyst Dungeon.
  • Scout killed the wind wolves and their two kings, then harvested grasses with the Photosynthesis skill.
  • Dylan found Scout the next day, and Linden sent him back with a backpack full of grass for the Fungal Carpet.
  • Night Owl dodged the knight squad leader's Divine Smite and entered his shadow, but a Shadow Demon seized her and broke his sword.
  • The Shadow Demon threw Night Owl toward the approaching crowd and lunged for the glowing summoning array.

Ch. 7575. Secretly Cross the Chencang Pass

The Shadow Demon was lured into a trap at the summoning array and overwhelmed by the United Kingdom’s forces, while Eleanor escaped. Elsewhere, a separate summoning ritual brought a blonde woman and a bewildered man on a toilet into the Western Isles basement.

  • Garr caught Night Owl after Ivan used Wind Surge to soften his fall, and Nova treated Night Owl’s severed wrist.
  • The Shadow Demon broke through the priests’ defenses, but Duke Amara blocked its attack as the archbishop sealed it inside a curtain of light.
  • The Shadow Demon realized the Hero summoning had been a trap and called for Eleanor, while Amara and other powerful fighters attacked it.
  • Eleanor abandoned the Shadow Demon, transformed into a bat, and flew away as the trapped demon’s Restraint Bracelet shattered.
  • A priest and nine pastors completed a summoning ritual in a concealed Western Isles basement, bringing a blonde woman and a middle-aged man seated on a toilet into the formation.

Ch. 7676. Two... A Hero

Tanaka Hideshichi and a blond woman were summoned as Heroes, but Tanaka used his new skill to escape the ritual chamber. In the Amethyst Dungeon, Linden tested the Sun Stone’s power and gave Dylan Photosynthesis, leaving Knight overflowing with mana and Dylan green-skinned.

  • Tanaka Hideshichi discovered his Hero title and gained a skill after being summoned with a toilet into another world.
  • Tanaka froze the priests and blond woman, pulled up his pants, took rough paper, and left the basement.
  • The priests recovered and celebrated the successful summoning, while the blond woman examined the toilet beside her.
  • Linden used the Sun Stone’s light to make Knight generate a vast amount of mana, then sent the excess through the Mycelium Network.
  • Linden persuaded Dylan to accept his green appearance after giving him Photosynthesis by reminding him he wanted to protect his daughter.
  • Dylan asked Linden whether adding arms and legs had only been a metaphor.

Ch. 77No Line of Work is Easy

Dylan traveled toward Norwid with Scout disguised as a backpack, discovering that the mushroom wilted in the sun and needed water. In Mute Wind Town, Vera and the sisters returned to adventuring after a disastrous stint as caravan guards, where Vera accidentally ate glowing mushroom chowder.

  • Dylan noticed Scout had wilted from the heat and poured water over its mushroom cap to revive it.
  • Dylan realized their water supply was running low and looked for a stream or village where they could refill it.
  • Vera and the sisters returned to Mute Wind Town after quitting caravan work when the leader’s son drugged them and they drove him off.
  • Vera and the sisters found the Rotten Willow Tavern sealed and ate at a roadside eatery instead.
  • Vera tasted the glowing mushroom chowder, then discovered his hand was covered in fluorescence.

Ch. 7878. Want Some Mushrooms?

Vera, Feiling, and Feiyin explored the mushroom-covered Dungeon and learned about the danger on the Fifth Floor at night. The adventurers gathered there planned to subjugate the Big Black Mushroom.

  • Vera collected healing potions, Mana Potions, and antidotes, then refused a thug's offer of Cyan Mushroom fragments.
  • Vera, Feiling, and Feiyin entered the Dungeon and saw mycelium and glowing mushrooms covering the first four floors, with Puji fighting Slimes along the way.
  • At the Fifth Floor stairs, Vera read the posted rules and saw a warning not to enter at night had replaced the rule about fleeing from a black winged humanoid creature.
  • Vera paid a dwarf for information, and he explained that a powerful black Puji called the Big Black Mushroom roamed the Fifth and Sixth Floors at night and stole shiny possessions.
  • The dwarf told Vera that the adventurers resting by the stairs had gathered to subjugate the Big Black Mushroom.

Ch. 7979. Little Black Got Angry

Vera, Feiling, and Feiyin declined to help a group of adventurers hunt the Big Black Mushroom and continued to the Sixth Floor. The adventurers attacked Little Black, who broke her disguise and killed them; a day later, Vera found a fragment of a battle axe while returning from the Sixth Floor.

  • Vera told Feiling and Feiyin that a dwarf had invited them to join the hunt for the Big Black Mushroom, and they decided to avoid the dangerous fight.
  • Vera politely declined the dwarf's offer, and the three adventurers headed for the Sixth Floor.
  • The adventurers surrounded Little Black and broke three of her scales with a coordinated attack, disrupting her Mimicry.
  • Little Black transformed into a Dragonkin and killed the Silver-Rank Adventurers before Linden's Puji arrived to attack the remaining Gold Ranks.
  • A day later, Feiling and Vera returned from the Sixth Floor, and Vera dug a piece of shattered iron from the soil.

Ch. 81Not a Knight

Little Black was coaxed into eating pujis while the fungal creatures repaired Mushroom House and dumped the captured adventurers into the swamp. Meanwhile, Dylan stopped to refill Scout’s water and then found a noble knight assaulting a village girl; he chose to intervene and faced the knight’s drawn sword.

  • Little Black resisted a honey-scented puji until she tasted it, then ate it with several more pujis.
  • The pujis repaired the damaged Fungal Carpet and pulled the captured adventurers from their pockets into the swamp.
  • Dylan refilled Scout and his waterskins at a village well, paid the village chief, and continued toward Norwid.
  • Dylan found the village girl pinned beneath a noble knight in the bushes and dismounted to confront him.
  • The noble knight threw the girl aside, drew his sword, and advanced on Dylan as Linden urged him to translate the knight’s threats.
