Ch. 501Assault on the Divine Capital
Chen Qingyu and the Ninth Ancestor prepared for war as reports of an attack on Liangshan reached the Divine Capital. Saint King Tianchen then led Emperor Yuan Palace’s Saints in an assault on the city and opened the battle with a devastating sword strike.
- The Ninth Ancestor warned Chen Qingyu to flee if the battle turned against them, while Chen Qingyu concealed his strength and planned to strike a powerful enemy by surprise.
- The supreme elder of the Liangshan Wang Clan reported losing contact with two elders, but Wu Xianghe said the Taihuang Wu Clan was safe and Ancestor Wu Xiangchen had destroyed the Great Yin Grotto.
- Before the Saints could decide whether to send aid to Liangshan, an attack shook the Divine Capital’s protective barrier, and Saint King Tianchen demanded that Chen Kaiyuan and Chen Qingyu come out to die.
- The Ninth Ancestor led Chen Qingyu and the other Saints outside to face Saint King Tianchen and twelve Saints from Emperor Yuan Palace.
- Saint King Tianchen rejected negotiations, declared his intention to overturn the old order, and unleashed his pure-white sword against the Chen Clan.
