As I was writing this summary, I had just finished typing what I hadn't finished this afternoon because of the gym. I casually glanced at the monthly ticket rankings and the book review section, then peeked at the red envelope section and was terrified—why were they issuing red envelopes?
Every time our neighbor is about to catch up, they send out a red envelope containing 2,000 monthly tickets, but not too many, so the gap doesn't widen. Isn't that just enticing us to catch up and spending money? It's obvious at a glance, so I've always ignored it and just asked for monthly tickets as usual. Really, there's no need to fight over this, no need to waste money. But why couldn't you guys resist?
I've always felt that one shouldn't be too greedy, and that it's wrong to make those who spend money on you spend even more. The fact that you all subscribe, vote for me monthly, and occasionally tip me is already my livelihood. It would be unreasonable for me to ask for more.
Getting back to the main topic, let me summarize my writing in May. Although I was busy, I only took one day off. There were some chapters with shorter word counts. Well, some parts of the writing this month were a bit flawed and abrupt. I'm not referring to the part about Little Klein's schizophrenia, because it's inevitable that unexpected things will happen during the process of stealing notes. If it didn't feel sudden, it would be worse. Also, there were many descriptions in the beginning that laid the groundwork for his mental state.
The main issue was the section before the theft of the notebook. Jumping directly to the preparations for the upcoming action felt abrupt. I should have mentioned at the end of the meeting with Bernadette that all that remained was figuring out the servants' routines; all other preparations were complete. This subtle shift would have made the subsequent mention of the impending action feel more natural. I was struggling with writing the Monopoly-style daily life at the time. On one hand, I needed to maintain plot tension—daily life isn't just a monotonous flow—and on the other hand Dawn Dantès couldn't possibly introduce various circles and encounters related to extraordinary events in a short period; it required a considerable amount of time. Therefore, I had to balance these aspects while also not skipping over the other characters' storylines, which inevitably led to some tedious and uninteresting plot points.
When it comes to online writing, I have to write every day, and there are bound to be times when my condition isn't at its best.
In addition, the abruptness also comes from the fact that everyone thinks stealing the notebook should be the final explosion of this volume, but in my mind, there is still a lot of plot to come in this volume. This is just a normal progression, which makes for a somewhat misaligned experience.
In the previous installment, I noticed that as the number of members in the Tarot Club increased, the difficulty of managing them became increasingly greater. For example, the " Magician " character hadn't been fully developed before, but she gradually came to life after her role was expanded in this installment. Therefore, I'm consciously controlling the number of members in the Tarot Club. Some may not be members, but I have assigned them a card in my mind. Of course, the number of members in the Tarot Club will definitely increase in the future, but not by too many. I don't currently have the ability to manage nearly 20 characters at the same time.
After summarizing my writing in May, let me talk about June. Well, I'm a little embarrassed to say this, but I'll be going on Travel this month. I promised my wife before we got married that I would take her on Travel every year. Last year, before starting my book, I went to Chaoshan, Guangzhou, Shunde. But this year, I know that "Mysteries" won't be finished, so I can't postpone it to the end of the year. Plus, I have a friend who is very proficient in foreign languages with me, so I decided to go in June.
This time I'm going to Italy, yes, I'm going to Rome and the Vatican to see the churches and various historical sites, to enhance the description of the environment, so I don't have to Envisioning or online pictures. Uh, this is also a kind of research trip... I originally planned to also go to the United Kingdom, but I didn't choose it due to various issues.
The Travel will run from June 3rd to 16th. During this period, there will be one update per day at 12:30 PM, after which it will return to normal. Fortunately, the storyline in Foggy Town will be finished in the next two days, so it won't make everyone feel bad.
Finally, this summary was written at midnight. Anyway, thank you to the friend who gave a reward on the 31st, and thank you to the friends who voted for me every day before.
Last but not least, I'm shamelessly begging for your guaranteed monthly votes in June, so our ranking doesn't look too bad!
