It was clear the other side had no intention of letting them go.
"Speaking of which, I have to thank the boss for summoning all the Blood Axe executives."
Seeing his targets gathered together, Shi Hen was very satisfied.
At least, he wouldn't have to go knocking on their doors one by one.
Shi Hen waved his hand, and the countless warheads suspended in the air instantly flew back, piercing through all the Mafia executives except the Scar-faced Man, splattering red liquid all over the conference room.
Staring blankly at the scene unfolding before him, the Scar-faced Man, who had been about to utter some harsh words, suddenly found his mind completely blank.
Facing a monster that could kill them as easily as crushing ants, what could he do?
"As a reward for you, I'll allow the boss to escape for three minutes. Perhaps gathering the full strength of the Blood Axe Mafia will be enough to deal with me."
Shi Hen's voice, filled with laughter, rang out, and the Scar-faced Man finally snapped back to his senses.
He glared fiercely at Shi Hen and then, without hesitation, chose to flee.
This was his only chance of survival.
Through the hastily opened conference room door, which he didn't have time to close, the Scar-faced Man's shouts echoed from the corridor:
"Help! Someone, quickly! Red Dragon Gang scum have broken in!"
Listening to the Scar-faced Man's words, which deliberately sowed confusion, Shi Hen shook his head and chuckled, then stepped out of the conference room.
The smell of blood here was too suffocating.
Stomp, stomp, stomp—
In the corridor, chaotic footsteps sounded, as Mafia members, alerted by the commotion, rushed from all directions.
"Who's there? Stop right there!"
Seeing the figure in white robes leisurely strolling down the corridor, clearly not one of their own, the first Mafia members to arrive couldn't help but shout.
Ignoring the Mafia members' shouts, Shi Hen continued his unhurried pace.
Witnessing this incredibly bizarre scene, the Mafia members exchanged glances and, as one, pulled the triggers of their submachine guns.
Although the person in front of them didn't appear to be carrying any weapons, their years of experience on the streets told them that this guy was far more dangerous than he looked.
Countless bullets shot out, but as they approached Shi Hen, they seemed to hit an invisible barrier and all veered off course, leaving crater after crater in the surrounding walls.
Occasionally, a few stray bullets would fly back, mercilessly killing the Mafia members who had just fired them.
Shi Hen walked through, leaving behind countless bullet holes and the corpses of Mafia members, blood spreading out to dye the entire corridor a dark red.
Without even glancing at the Mafia gunmen, Shi Hen walked slowly, his expression unchanged.
If you pick up a weapon, you must be prepared to wager your life; you can't blame anyone if you die.
Watching the boy's god-like methods, Raven, hidden in the shadows, couldn't help but gasp slightly.
As expected, Natural Stigmata Awakeners were all monsters.
At the Crow's Nest Bar, this guy was holding back, wasn't he?
She could also deflect bullets, but… it wasn't necessary.
The Honkai Energy required to deflect a single bullet was at least ten times more than to dodge it normally, and she didn't have such a vast reserve of Honkai Energy, nor could her body withstand such a terrifying load.
Roughly estimating, the Honkai Energy consumed by the boy since the battle began was already a terrifying number, enough to support the operation of a Tactical Mech squad.
After all, whether facing machine guns or grenade launchers, Shi Hen had never once dodged, crushing everything with absolute strength.
Such a lavish way of using Honkai Energy was something Raven wouldn't even dare to dream of.
Although Honkai Energy was highly adaptable, she was still just a mortal.
Boom!
After walking through three corridors, an unusual sound rang out, causing Shi Hen's lips to curl.
He knew that what he had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Rat-tat-tat—
A deafening, massive gun sound erupted, and a series of metal slugs, each as thick as a baby's fist, shot towards Shi Hen. However, like their predecessors, they veered away in front of the boy, achieving no results. Instead, they cleared a large area of the surrounding walls and pillars.
"Tactical Mech…"
Looking at the five-meter-tall humanoid armor in front of him, wielding a giant rotary machine gun, Shi Hen laughed happily.
In his eyes, the only thing worth looking forward to in the entire Mafia Organization was this Tactical Mech.
As one of the main means for Anti-Entropy, one of the three major powers, to fight against Honkai, Shi Hen was very eager to witness the performance of the Tactical Mech.
Still maintaining a leisurely pace, Shi Hen gave the pilot inside the mech ample time, hoping for a surprise.
As the distance between the person and the mech closed, the "rat-tat—" of the machine gun gradually subsided.
The mech pilot had already realized that despite the immense power of the mech's machine gun, it was still ineffective against the enemy in front of him.
He needed a weapon with greater destructive power!
Mulling this over, the pilot gritted his teeth and pressed down hard on a certain spot on the control panel.
Hiss—
The tactical mech's back armor popped open, and a long, black cannon barrel extended, resting on the mech's shoulder. A dim, orange-yellow light began to glow at the muzzle, gradually intensifying.
It was clear this tactical mech was about to unleash its ultimate move.
The light grew brighter and brighter, reaching its peak in a few seconds. People instinctively wanted to look away to avoid being blinded by it.
But Shi Hen stared intently at the mech's cannon, his anticipation growing. He even helpfully stopped walking, saving the pilot the trouble of aiming.
Thump~
With a dull thud, the brilliant light abruptly extinguished. The mech itself instantly collapsed, like a broken puppet.
As Anti-Entropy's primary means of combating the Honkai, tactical mechs were designed to be powered by Honkai Energy.
However, Honkai Energy devices had an incredibly severe flaw: their terrifyingly short lifespan.
A qualified tactical mech that lasted a month after leaving the factory was considered long-lived.
This mech in the Blood Axe organization's possession had fallen into their hands after being damaged.
Already on the verge of scrap, and now being powered by irregular electrical energy, it would be a miracle if this mech could even function normally.
"Wasted my feelings."
Shi Hen grumbled as he smashed the tactical mech and its pilot into a metal pancake with a single blow, then walked away.
The game was over, and it was time for him to find the leader of the Mafia.
He hoped the guy was alright.
Chapter 5: Novice Mission Complete
Vroom~
The sound of a car engine starting up echoed as the Scar-faced Man frantically shifted gears and sped away from the territory he had fought for decades to claim.
That guy in the white robe wasn't human!
He had personally watched machine gun bullets prove useless against the figure, and even rocket launchers couldn't harm him in the slightest.
Such a monster was beyond human capability to fight.
Although he had ordered the tactical mech to be deployed, he didn't believe the outcome would be any different.
His only slim chance of survival was to escape while the other party was being held up by the Blood Axe members.
As the surrounding scenery gradually changed and the exit of the underground parking garage came into view, the Scar-faced Man's excitement grew.
Almost there, he would soon be out of this hellhole!
"Boss, isn't it a bit much to run off by yourself while your subordinates are still fighting for their lives?"
A hoarse voice suddenly rang out, causing the Scar-faced Man's heart to sink.
"You monster, what do you want!?"
His emotions finally snapped, the Scar-faced Man roared at the white-robed figure that had appeared in the back seat of the car.
Knowing he was doomed, he no longer cared if he angered the other party.
Seeing the Scar-faced Man had lost all composure, Shi Hen simply shook his head slowly. "The Serpent sends its regards. I hope you can be a good person in your next life."
As he spoke, Shi Hen twirled a bullet between his fingers, and a faint white glow of Honkai Energy quickly ignited.
"Hahaha!" The Scar-faced Man laughed in rage, tearing off his suit jacket to reveal layers upon layers of explosives wrapped around his body. "Let's die together, monster!"
Boom!
A violent explosion ripped through the air. The car's four doors flew outwards, and the vehicle itself instantly turned into a fireball.
"Hen!"
A dark figure suddenly appeared beside the burning car, and with a wave of his hand, he parted the raging flames.
"I'm fine, Sister Natasha."
Shi Hen replied in a calm, normal voice as he stepped out of the car, the flames automatically parting before him.
Raven scrutinized Shi Hen several times, and after confirming the young man was completely unharmed, she breathed a sigh of relief. Then, her expression turned stern. "You were too careless. What if the other party had other tricks up their sleeve?"
Meeting the mercenary woman's reproachful gaze, Shi Hen chuckled wryly, not arguing.
After all, she was concerned about him. Was he supposed to unleash his Honkai Energy and show off his strength?
Giving the young man a glare, Raven fumbled around and tossed a white mask at him. "Here, take this. It's a little trinket made by the organization. It's not very useful, but it's much better than that thing you're wearing."
What kind of person wears a black silk balaclava?
It was embarrassing, to say the least.
As Shi Hen's fingertips brushed against the mask's seemingly golden, yet jade-like texture, a sudden thought crossed his mind. A flash of Honkai Energy passed, and the white mask transformed into a bracelet.
The fact that it could change form so easily revealed that this seemingly ordinary white mask was actually made of Soul Steel!
The World Serpent really was wealthy.
With a sigh from the bottom of his heart, Shi Hen slipped the bracelet onto his left wrist and smiled brightly at Raven. "Thank you, Sister Natasha."
He'd decided: he absolutely had to cling to Sister Raven's leg within World Serpent!
Raven merely rolled her eyes at the young man before turning her gaze to the car burning fiercely. "With that, all your mission objectives are complete. Well done!"
It was just a bit too much of a spectacle.
Thinking of the scene where the young man had rampaged through, unleashing Honkai Energy, Raven's regret deepened. Natural Stigmata Awakeners really don't act like people at all!
"Sister Natasha's intel was just detailed enough," Shi Hen said, waving a hand dismissively, not showing any pride. With the intelligence Raven had provided, the Blood Axe Mafia had been an open book to him, not holding a single secret. The outcome of this battle had been decided long before it even began.
Beep beep beep—
Just as she was about to say something else, the siren that suddenly echoed through the sky made Raven's expression shift slightly, surprise flashing in her eyes. "The police? How could they be here so fast?" Based on her understanding of this country, the police should have taken at least half an hour to arrive.
"Oh, I called them," Shi Hen explained. After all, an armed brawl was about to break out here, so it's perfectly reasonable for me, Shi, to call the police, right? Besides, I've already crushed the main force of the Blood Axe Mafia. This country's police shouldn't be incapable of handling the cleanup.
Raven: "..."
