When Chu Ruoxi came to her senses, her little face flushed. She quickly let go of Jiang Fan and hurriedly stepped back twice.
"Jiang Fan, sorry! I got too excited just now!"
When Chu Ruoxi's dad took her out to play as a child, whenever she had a good time, she liked to hug him and act spoiled.
In her excitement just now, she had hugged Jiang Fan out of habit.

Caught out, Jiang Fan tried to deny it. "I... I was looking at the movie theater ahead of you!"
Chu Ruoxi glanced at the movie theater beside them and couldn't help covering her mouth with her fair little hand as she laughed.
Jiang Fan really was cute. He couldn't even come up with an excuse properly. The movie theater was on their left, but he had been staring straight ahead!
"Hey, Jiang Fan, why don't we go watch a movie?"
Chu Ruoxi suggested!
"Okay!"
Jiang Fan agreed!
The two then entered the movie theater. Chu Ruoxi browsed the movies for a while before finally choosing a school romance film, "You Are the Apple of My Eye."
Jiang Fan bought two movie tickets, then returned to Chu Ruoxi's side and said,
"Classmate Chu Ruoxi, I've bought the tickets. Let's go in!"
"You only bought movie tickets?" Chu Ruoxi asked in puzzlement!
Jiang Fan thought for a moment. He was quite certain that buying movie tickets was all they needed to go in and watch the movie.
Looking at the clueless Jiang Fan, Chu Ruoxi laughed inwardly. This Jiang Fan really was a straight man.
So she gave him a hint.
"Shouldn't we have some popcorn to go with the movie?"
Only then did Jiang Fan catch on, and he hurried off to buy a large bucket of popcorn.
When he returned, Chu Ruoxi noticed that he had also bought two drinks. She hadn't expected him to catch on so quickly!
Then they entered the screening room together.
Since it was still rather hot outside, there weren't many people there to see the movie. By the time it started, there were fewer than ten people.
Since Jiang Fan had bought a large bucket of popcorn, it wouldn't fit on the seat's armrest, so he could only hold it in one hand while Chu Ruoxi occasionally picked out a piece and popped it into her mouth.
The movie had a lighthearted style, with a touch of innocent romance.
Chu Ruoxi really liked movies like this and occasionally let out silvery, bell-like laughter!
Jiang Fan smiled along with her. In fact, his attention wasn't on the movie screen at all. Instead, he used eating popcorn as an opportunity to steal glances at Chu Ruoxi!

Before the movie was even halfway through, the large bucket of popcorn was empty. Of course, Jiang Fan had eaten most of it as cover while sneaking looks at Chu Ruoxi!
"Huh! It's all gone!" Chu Ruoxi said softly!
This time, Jiang Fan acted entirely on his own initiative, standing up of his own accord and heading outside.
Before long, Jiang Fan returned with two large buckets of popcorn!
"How did you buy popcorn? Aren't you not allowed back in if you go out after the movie starts?"
Jiang Fan said calmly, "I bought another movie ticket!"
"You're something else!"
Chu Ruoxi gave Jiang Fan a thumbs-up!
Chu Ruoxi had thought Jiang Fan bought two buckets so they could have one each. Instead, he put one straight onto the empty seat beside him and held the other between them!
Chu Ruoxi didn't think much of it and continued watching the movie!
What she hadn't expected was that Jiang Fan liked popcorn so much. Before long, he had finished both buckets again!
Just as Jiang Fan was about to go out to buy more, Chu Ruoxi hurriedly caught hold of him and said softly,
"The movie's almost over. If you want more, buy it when we leave!"
"Burp!"
Jiang Fan let out an ill-timed burp. Seeing Chu Ruoxi looking at him in surprise, he hurriedly explained.
"I drank too much cola just now!"
Only when Chu Ruoxi turned her gaze back to the movie screen did Jiang Fan realize he had unwittingly stuffed himself.
He had bought three buckets of popcorn in total, and he had eaten almost two and a half of them himself!
For the rest of the movie, Jiang Fan kept burping until it ended!
After watching the movie, Chu Ruoxi felt a little down, simply because the female lead hadn't married the male lead and had instead chosen a greasy middle-aged man!
"Jiang Fan, why do you think the male lead, Ko Ching-teng, didn't snatch Chen Jiayi back?"
Faced with this sudden question, Jiang Fan didn't know how to answer, because he had no idea who Ko Ching-teng and Chen Jiayi were.
He had spent the entire movie sneaking glances at Chu Ruoxi!
"If I got a boyfriend, I wouldn't break up with him, no matter what!" Chu Ruoxi said to herself.
By the time the two left the mall, it was already five in the afternoon, and the sunlight outside had become much gentler!
Chu Ruoxi stretched. "It's been so long since I had such a thoroughly good time."
"Me too!" Jiang Fan said, glancing at Chu Ruoxi!
"Let's head back, Jiang Fan."
"Mm!"
Jiang Fan followed her.
But when they reached an intersection, they discovered that the road had actually been closed off. There wasn't a single car along the entire road.
"Judging by all this, a national leader is probably here on an inspection!" Chu Ruoxi said!
"Then let's take a side road!" Jiang Fan said!
"Mm!"
They chatted happily along the way, though Chu Ruoxi did most of the talking, with Jiang Fan occasionally putting in a word or two. He still wasn't used to chatting with girls!
Before they knew it, they had actually arrived at the school gates!
"Jiang Fan, let's go for a walk around school. Once university starts, who knows when we'll be able to come back!"
The mention of university finally reminded Jiang Fan of the email he had sent yesterday. A whole day had passed, yet there was still no word from Dragon University of Science and Technology!
So he logged into Penguin Mail on his phone to check.
When he entered his account, the result showed that the account did not exist!
This left him terribly frustrated. Thinking he had entered the account incorrectly, he entered it again, but it still showed that the account did not exist!
He stopped in his tracks, his brows immediately drawing tight.
