A supercomputer was a computer that handled massive amounts of data and high-speed calculations beyond the capabilities of an ordinary personal computer. Most could perform more than one trillion calculations per second.
They were mostly used in national high-tech fields and cutting-edge research, embodying a nation's scientific research capabilities. They carried tremendous significance for national security and economic and social development, and were an important indicator of a nation's technological development and overall strength.
Huaqing's supercomputer was also the most advanced in Dragon Country. It was generally used for Dragon Country's scientific research, but it also took on domestic commercial projects requiring large-scale computation, earning Huaqing some corresponding research funding!
Dragon University of Science and Technology was not far from Huaqing, about twenty minutes away.
Dean Li called the president of Dragon University of Science and Technology directly and briefly explained the situation.
Lu Yongxiang, the president of Dragon University of Science and Technology, was utterly shocked. If, as Dean Li said, this file could save Dragon Country ten years of controlled nuclear fusion research, its importance was anything but ordinary.
With time pressing, President Lu immediately dispatched a university bus to pick up the professors and take them to Huaqing, while he set out from home and hurried there himself!

When everyone arrived at the entrance to the supercomputer facility, they discovered that Wang Hongbo, the man in charge, had not arrived yet. Without him to lead them in, the security guard refused them entry.
The supercomputer was extremely expensive, and all the projects running on it were important. Under normal circumstances, everyone was prohibited from entering without authorization from the relevant person in charge.

President Lu began turning things over in his mind. If the upcoming test showed that there really was nothing wrong with the file, and they then admitted such a student to Dragon University of Science and Technology, the credit would effectively belong to their university.
The country would certainly give strong support to Dragon University of Science and Technology's research projects in the future.
At that thought, President Lu began to look forward to it, hoping that nothing would go wrong with the supercomputer calculations!
Just as everyone finished their buns and soy milk, Wang Hongbo arrived. He was immediately surprised to see more than a dozen experts and professors.
What was going on?
Hadn't Dean Li said he only needed to run a set of formulas and data on the supercomputer? Surely that didn't call for this many people!
Moreover, these experts and professors were all leading figures in their respective fields.
He immediately felt rather embarrassed at having kept so many professors waiting for him alone!

"Dean Li, you should know this supercomputer's hardware too: A/7168x2 Intel Hexa Core Xeon X5670 2.93GHz+7168 Nvidia Tesla M2050 1.15GHz+2048 Hex Core FT-1000 1GHz.
"Its peak computing speed is one quintillion calculations per second. I can allocate one-tenth of its capacity, which will be enough to run your research project."
However, everyone present immediately opposed his suggestion. Using one-tenth of the capacity to calculate the controlled nuclear fusion formulas and data would take until the year of the monkey and the month of the horse!
"Wang, do you know what project we're running this time? Controlled nuclear fusion! You should know how enormous the volume of data is!" President Lu said.
"Controlled nuclear fusion?" Wang Hongbo exclaimed in surprise again.
He knew about controlled nuclear fusion. The country had run it on this supercomputer several times before, and every run had taken at least a full day to finish!
"If it means shutting down all the other running projects, I really don't have the authority to decide that!" Wang Hongbo said helplessly.
President Lu did not press him further. He directly called Zhou Huaide at the National Controlled Nuclear Fusion Research Institute!
Upon hearing that they had obtained a top-secret set of controlled nuclear fusion materials, Zhou Huaide immediately grew extremely excited.
Zhou Huaide said he would come over right away.
