"The two ships behind us can't catch us. Ignore them."
Chu Yuan stared fixedly at the spaceship straight ahead, a D-class alloy spaceship over 300 meters long.
Judging by its shape and design, it came from the wider universe, a trophy the natives had seized from adventurers.
"Master, should we activate the railgun?"
Feiluan asked from beside him, "The natives' ships definitely won't be above D5-class. They can't withstand the railgun."
The corners of Chu Yuan's mouth lifted. "No need. Ram straight through!"
Feiluan instantly understood what Chu Yuan meant and gave a teasing smile.
"All right, let's show them what an E-class spaceship can do!"
The engines' output increased, their exhaust plumes abruptly lengthening as the ship's speed soared.
Half the speed of light, six-tenths, seven-tenths, nine-tenths.
Boom!
The Dragon Abyss slammed into the D-class alloy spaceship at nine-tenths the speed of light.
Like a dinosaur charging into a wild boar piglet, the D-class alloy spaceship disintegrated the instant they collided, shattering to pieces!
Chu Yuan saw the terrified eyes of the Domain Lord inside the spaceship.
Before he could escape, the Dragon Abyss struck him head-on. With a splat, he burst into a cloud of bloody mist, even his Life Core smashed along with him.
Rumble!
The shattered D-class alloy spaceship exploded into an enormous fireball, and the Dragon Abyss continued forward through the flames.
Although smashing through a spaceship slowed it somewhat, its speed soon surged again.
After breaking out of the atmosphere, the Dragon Abyss accelerated to light speed and vanished with a whoosh, entering the Dark Universe.
The two D-class spaceships arrived a step too late. All they saw was the boundless starry sky; they could no longer catch him.
"Damn it!"
Inside one of the D-class spaceships, a middle-aged Domain Lord slammed his fist heavily into the alloy wall.
His eyes were bloodshot, his breaths came in heavy pants, and his entire body trembled with rage.
"He actually escaped, just like that!"
The middle-aged Domain Lord could not accept it. Failing to kill the extraterrestrial invader was one thing, but they had also lost an elder. The loss was too great.
A projection appeared beside the middle-aged Domain Lord, displaying an elderly Domain Lord.
"Zhuoya, head back."
The elderly Domain Lord spoke in a hoarse voice. "We still need to stop the other invaders. We can't leave the defensive line undermanned for too long."
The middle-aged Domain Lord ground his teeth, growling out each word. "He killed Hengshan!"
The elderly Domain Lord remained expressionless. "I know, but there's nothing we can do to him. He's aboard an E-Class Spaceship. Even if our entire race gave it everything we had, we couldn't catch him."
"If you want to avenge Hengshan, kill more extraterrestrial invaders. They're all in it together!"
The middle-aged Domain Lord raised his head, his gaze savage. "Every last one of these extraterrestrial invaders deserves to die!"
"Tell the Council of Elders that Hengshan is dead. Have them extend this purge."
"Until every extraterrestrial invader is dead, the purge won't stop!"
The two D-class spaceships flew back to the Turbid Abyss Continent.
After learning that a Domain Lord elder had fallen, the natives became even angrier and more frenzied.
Their methods of searching for and hunting down extraterrestrial invaders became increasingly violent.
Under the searches of large numbers of natives, more and more adventurers in hiding were found, ultimately surrounded and slaughtered.
"Damn it, what's gotten into these natives? Why are even Domain Lords coming down to search for people themselves?"
Inside an underground cave in the Heavenly River Mountain Range, two Universe Level 9 humans were hiding.
One belonged to the Elf Race, with handsome features and pointed ears.
The other belonged to the Winged Human Race and had wings on his back. Both looked somewhat bedraggled.
The Elf Race human was still shaken. Not long ago, they had risked their lives and barely managed to escape a native Domain Lord's pursuit.
During previous purges, only Universe Level natives had hunted them down. The Domain Lords were supposed to remain stationed in the atmosphere.
"When I killed that Universe Level Sixth Order native, he said something. Someone fought their way out of the encirclement and even killed one of their Domain Lord elders. That's why these natives are so crazed!"
The winged human spoke from beside him.
"Fought their way out?!"
The Elf Race human's face was full of astonishment. "Who's that powerful? The Turbid Abyss Continent is encircled so tightly that not even water could get through. Anyone who could fight their way out would have to be at least Domain Lord Seventh Stage."
"Why would someone that powerful come to the Turbid Abyss Continent?"
There were indeed Domain Lords who came to the Turbid Abyss Continent to adventure, but they were few and far between, and most had only recently broken through.
Such Domain Lords were weak and had little wealth, which was why they came to the Turbid Abyss Continent to hunt for overlooked bargains.
But someone at Domain Lord Seventh Stage already counted as a veteran Domain Lord expert. They could not possibly be poor enough to come to the Turbid Abyss Continent to compete for food with a bunch of Universe Level adventurers.
"Who knows? In any case, he fought his way out!"
The winged human shrugged.
"Damn it, he fought his way out, but now we're the unlucky ones!"
The Elf Race smashed a nearby boulder with a punch. "Because of him, the natives have all gone mad. We don't even have a chance to tuck our heads into our shells like turtles and hole up."
Rumble!
Before his words had faded, a tremendous noise and vibrations traveled through the mountain's layers of rock.
Both their expressions changed when they heard it.
"Damn it, they've caught up again!"
Without a second thought, the two dashed into a passage through the mountain and fled.
The Elf Race gritted their teeth. "I'd better not find out who caused this disaster. If I find out..."
The winged human glanced at him. "What will you do if you find out?"
The Elf Race enunciated each word. "I'll thank him for giving me such thrilling life-and-death tempering. If I manage to break through, it'll all be thanks to him."
The winged human snorted disdainfully. "I thought you were going to take revenge on him."
The Elf Race said, "Heh, it's not like my brain's waterlogged."
He got angry for a moment, but in the end, that was all he did.
The two fled frantically, their pursuers hot on their heels.
There were many other adventurers like these two. They hid in secluded caves or bodies of water, planning to wait until the storm passed before leaving.
A purge generally lasted only a few hundred years, a thousand at most. The time would soon pass.
But these adventurers did not know that this purge was different from the previous ones.
This one would last a very long time, so long that even after Star Level cultivators died of old age, it would still not be over.
Chu Yuan knew none of this. He was traveling through the Dark Universe.
"Hahaha, that native Domain Lord really didn't know his own limits. He actually dared to intercept us in a D-class spaceship?!"
Feiluan held a piece of fruit, eating as he spoke.
"It's a shame the New Longyuan doesn't have any powerful weapons. If it had an E-class laser cannon, we could sweep through the entire Turbid Abyss Continent."
Feiluan still seemed somewhat unsatisfied.
Chu Yuan sat on the sofa holding a wineglass and shook his head. "This spaceship was only my teacher World Lord Huoyao's backup ship. How could it possibly be equipped with an E-class laser cannon?"
E-class laser cannons were extremely advanced technological weapons, far more expensive than E-class spaceships. Few World Lords could afford them.
Generally, only top-of-the-line E-class spaceships used by Immortal Experts would be equipped with E-class laser cannons.
