Jiang Jie knew the area well and quickly made his way from the inner ring road to the outer ring road.
The place was littered with spider corpses and broken bones, indicating a fierce battle.
Undead with souls have the chance to awaken and become Forsaken, but mindless zombies, Abomination, Ghoul, or spiders that are inherently not very intelligent, cannot.
Some of the spiders in the Plague Quarter are resurrected Crypt Fiend Nerubians Northrend, while others are highly venomous spiders brought from the Eastern and Western Plaguelands and modified using various methods.
The Grand Widow Faerlina was very knowledgeable about poisons and spiders. She used to run this place, but now that she's dead, it's practically abandoned. However, there are still quite a few terrifying, venomous spiders and dead beetles, making it look rather eerie and terrifying.
Spiderwebs were everywhere, and they were also highly poisonous. Although the Undead were not afraid, some of the spiderwebs had an incredibly sticky slime that was difficult to break free from once you got on them. These spiderwebs were also quite tough, comparable to steel, and were difficult to cut with swords.
"Get out of the way."
Jiang Jie said calmly, Patriarch Alexei immediately waved his staff and shouted, "Get out of the way! All Undead, get out of the way! And you, get out of the way too!"
"You" refers to living people.
There are also living people here, some necromancers or Undead, the kind who are still alive, who used to be members of the Cult of the Damned. Whatever their reasons, they have now joined the Forsaken, and according to Patriarch Alexei, they are unofficial members of the Barov Family.
Jiang Jie disregarded these matters, trusting in Patriarch Alexei's abilities to surely subdue these people.
He drew the divine sword Strom'kar, and with a casual swing, Shadowflame roared past, forming a raging inferno that incinerated all the spiderwebs, spiders, and corpses in front of him. No creature could withstand such intense flames, except for a colossal being.
A gigantic red spider, almost as big as Anub'Rekhan, burst out of the flames. It was much taller than Jiang Jie and had a large belly.
It looks just as terrifying as the giant spider in the Lord of the Rings, or even more terrifying.
"Be careful, my lord! It's the work of the Spider Queen Maexxna, completed after the Black Witch's death. It's terrifying..." Patriarch Alexei shouted a warning, but his words were cut short as Maexxna collapsed. A nearly ten-meter-long flaming giant sword suddenly appeared and cleaved Maexxna in two.
Jiang Jie sheathed his sword and asked calmly, " Patriarch Alexei, what did you say? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you clearly."
He couldn't hear clearly, because the Lich's voice was unpleasant and hard to hear, and moreover, his move " Sword Splits Mount Tai " was both powerful and loud, drowning out everything else.
"... It's nothing, please continue." Patriarch Alexei suddenly realized that his previous thoughts might have been wrong.
He always felt that power and wealth were everything, capable of making countless powerful professionals and even noble Archmage serve him. But now he realized that strength seemed to be everything. If Jiang Jie were to strike him with his sword, what use would all that money or power be?
Legendary powerhouses transcend wealth and power. Not to mention the head of a family, even the ruler of a country, such as Queen Calia, must maintain sufficient respect for any Legendary powerhouse.
Because every Legendary powerhouse is a pillar of a nation or even a race; their existence ensures the stability and continuation of that race.
The young human before them was already such a powerful being.
"Huh? What's this... that thing?" Jiang Jie frowned.
He wasn't particularly interested in Maexxna.
This giant spider was nothing special; it didn't seem to be fully developed yet. It wasn't a Legendary creature, and it wasn't even as powerful as a Frost Wyrm. It was killed with a single sword strike.
Spider tentacles, spider silk, spider venom sacs—the entire spider is a treasure, but that's to alchemists.
In Jiang Jie's eyes,
It had no value, so he didn't care.
However, he suddenly saw a glimmer of light in the wound that had cleaved Maexxna; it was the glow of magic.
Clearly, there are magical items inside Maexxna's body.
How could there be magical items inside a spider?
Jiang Jie quickly took it out and found it to be a fragment about the size of a thumb, with exquisite magical runes on it. Jiang Jie sensed a strong energy fluctuation on it, indicating that this thing should be part of a powerful magical item, even though it was broken into a small piece, it was still full of energy.
"I'm afraid... it really is that thing!" Jiang Jie immediately turned his head and said, " Patriarch Alexei, search the entire Naxxramas for the other fragments!"
"Searching for a fragment?" Patriarch Alexei was somewhat puzzled, not understanding why Jiang Jie cared so much about a fragment. Even the best magical item, shattered like this, what value did it have?
But as the head of the clan, he knew very well that the orders of those in power could not be disobeyed, so he immediately issued the order.
"Let's go, let's go to the Construct Quarter," Jiang Jie said.
Naxxramas has five zones: the Arachnid Quarter, the Construct Quarter, the Plague Quarter, the Military Quarter, and the Frostwyrm Lair.
Now that four areas have been breached, only the Construct Quarter remains.
The Construct Quarter is actually the Abomination Quarter. Undead stitch various corpses together and, in conjunction with Undead, create enormous and grotesque Abomination.
Even more terrifying BOSS-level Abomination have not yet been created. After Jiang Jie finished his sweep, it took him nearly two hours to search the entire Construct Quarter before he finally found a few fragments.
"Go to the command center." Jiang Jie frowned.
Searching like this is exhausting, and we don't know how long it will take to finish. Let the Forsaken handle this; they just need to wait for the results.
Jiang Jie quickly arrived at the command room and met Faol and the Archmage Undead Gunther.
" Nicholas, you're looking for it?" Faol pointed to a table nearby, on which lay several fragments. "Found it in Kel'Thuzad's Booty Bay chest. You want to repair it? I'm afraid it won't be easy."
"It seems you know what it is, Your Majesty Faol." Jiang Jie chuckled, walked over, picked up several fragments, and then pieced them all together, shaking his head with a wry smile, "This is less than a third of it."
The fragments formed a stick-like object, broken and covered with intermittent magical runes, making it look more like the handle of a staff.
"Your Excellency Marquis, Bishop Faol, what is this fragment of?" Patriarch Alexei couldn't help but ask.
"This is a fragment of the Staff of the Guardian. I saw it in the Hall of the Guardian in Dalaran. I never imagined... it would be shattered like this," Gunther remarked.
