The Dark Riders of Karazhan are truly remarkable.
They were originally a group of wandering merchants who, out of some audacity, dared to cheat Medivh!
To say that it's like an ant trying to shake a tree is an understatement!
If it were Medivh in his normal state, a kind-hearted man, he probably would have taken pity on them and let them go. But unfortunately, the Medivh Medivh encountered was one dominated by Sargeras's spirit.
A bunch of mortals, how dare they bully the Dark Titan?
Disrupting the work of the Grand Duke Jupiter? You'll only bring trouble upon yourself!
And so, they were doomed.
With a wave of his hand, Medivh transformed these wandering merchants into Dark Riders, cursed with eternal damnation. Their fates were rewritten, and they would forever strive to find artifacts. The artifacts they found would not belong to them, but would be placed in the catacombs of Karazhan and offered to their masters.
" Ulthalesh is there, and... Apocalypse!" Jiang Jie's eyes gleamed.
One is a Warlock artifact, and the other is Death Knight artifact.
As mentioned earlier, even divine artifacts come in different tiers.
The original Strom'kar the Warbreaker and Flamestrike were only considered the lowest-tier artifacts. Only after being reforged did they rise to the same level as Frostmourne and Ashbringer.
But it's still a ways off from Uther's " Silver Hand." After all, it's the weapon of the most skilled warrior among the Titan Keepers, so it's naturally extraordinary.
Like Apocalypse, Frostmourne was created by the Dreadlord and is considered to be on the same level.
Uthalus Reaper, on the other hand, was personally bestowed upon "Sadiya" by the Dark Titan Sargeras. While it may not be as powerful as the "Scepter of Sargeras," it is probably no less formidable than the "Silver Hand."
The value of these two divine artifacts is self-evident.
Although Jiang Jie had no interest in becoming Warlock or Death Knight, that didn't stop him from craving artifacts. The thought of collecting all the artifacts and displaying them in an exhibition hall was simply wonderful.
Of course, doing that would be too wasteful.
In his heart, he had already chosen masters for these two divine artifacts; one had already appeared, and the other would appear soon.
Jiang Jie's speed was naturally extremely fast. More importantly, the Dark Riders were also heading in their direction.
Five minutes later, Jiang Jie met the Dark Riders.
Cursed by Medivh, who was possessed by Sargeras's soul, and imbued with dark power, these Dark Knights are actually quite difficult to deal with. Even the weakest Dark Knights is no less powerful than a High-Ranking Paladin.
Even a single Grand Knight might not be a match for several Dark Knights working together.
Unfortunately, they encountered Jiang Jie.
This was a battle where the odds were stacked against them, but Jiang Jie held back, ultimately eliminating the other Dark Riders and leaving only the strongest one, severely injuring him.
Watching the fleeing Dark Riders, Jiang Jie's lips curled slightly, and then he entered Stealth mode.
He followed closely, but was not noticed by the Dark Riders.
Not long after, the Dark Riders arrived at an open space with several small houses, clearly indicating that this was their camp, where several Dark Riders Dark Riders stationed.
Jiang Jie remained hidden outside the camp, not making a move, and continued to wait.
After a while, the Dark Riders continued towards Karazhan, while the other Dark Riders headed in the direction Jiang Jie had come from, clearly to stop Jiang Jie Jiang Jie's pursuit or to kill him!
Jiang Jie ignored the Dark Riders and continued the chase.
The Dark Riders rode his horse at great speed, while Jiang Jie kept a distance of about 500 meters, hanging on at a distance.
Finally, somewhere on the west side of the main tower in Karazhan, Jiang Jie saw the Dark Riders enter a tomb.
This is an underground tomb that looks terrifying at first glance, because the entire tomb is blood red, and the bricks and stones are all blood red. So when light shines on it, everything turns blood red, making it more terrifying than any other tomb.
Jiang Jie had never been to Morgan's Plot in the west and had no idea how terrifying that underground catacombs were.
What was the legendary Pit of Criminals like? Jiang Jie was certain that this place was terrifying enough that even the most fearless tomb raiders and adventurers would likely lack the courage to venture deeper after witnessing such a sight. Jiang Jie remained invisible and entered the abyss.
"Such a powerful aura of darkness!" Jiang Jie frowned.
A dark aura swept over him, enveloping every object present. From the scattered bones on the ground to the descending spiral staircase, everything filled Jiang Jie with an extraordinary sense of terror.
Suppressed, utterly suppressed.
A normal person definitely couldn't stand this level of oppression; anyone who could survive here is definitely not a living person.
If he were alive, he would definitely be a madman, and his psychological trauma would be ten times that of Med'an and a hundred times that of Xiaolongnü.
There were torches on the side wall and footprints on the ground, indicating that the Dark Riders frequently came and went from here. This was likely their lair, while the camp they had seen earlier was just a lookout post or a temporary residence.
Crack! Crack!
The bones on the ground suddenly floated up and then rapidly reformed. Jiang Jie's expression changed: they had been discovered!
Everything here seemed too mysterious and terrifying. With Jiang Jie's Stealth abilities, he could normally sneak up behind a High-Ranking Paladin and steal the gold coins from his pocket without being detected. How could he have been discovered now?
Karazhan, even if it's just an underground tomb, is it really this terrifying?
The game pod was still scanning, and Jiang Jie quickly saw many ghosts approaching. All the ghosts here were of the evil faction, extremely frenzied, baring their fangs and claws, and emitting shrill screams.
Jiang Jie emerged from Stealth mode.
Now that we've been discovered, the only option is to storm in openly and honestly!
With the divine sword in hand, even these resurrected skeletons, zombies, or ghosts, all elite-level beings, were powerless against Jiang Jie. Jiang Jie his sword like autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves, and the rebirth fire of the Shadow Phoenix purified everything. All the Undead killed by Jiang Jie turned into ashes, while the ghosts were devoured by " Pyralis " to strengthen itself.
Heading downwards, Invincible.
Upon reaching the depths underground, the skeletons disappeared, indicating that the adventurers who had come here before had reached their limit. Unable to venture further, they were all quickly killed or turned to flee.
But the number of ghosts kept increasing, swarming forward, numbering in the hundreds.
" Pyralis, it's up to you!" Jiang Jie brandished his divine sword, Shadowflame transformed into Shadow Phoenix, carrying towering flames as it passed through hundreds of ghosts.
All souls that came into contact with the Phoenix Flames emitted even more terrifying and shrill screams as they were purified by the flames, transformed into pure soul energy, and then devoured by Pyralis.
"Keep going downwards, purify everything!" Jiang Jie his sword and walked slowly, as if strolling in a back garden.
A slight smile played on his lips as he surveyed the scene with an appreciative gaze. A martial artist is fearless; even the most terrifying sights held no sway over him. Silent Hill, Sadako, the Haunted Village—weren't they terrifying enough?
Aren't Alien and Resident Evil movies disgusting?
Jiang Jie continued eating with a smile. Back then, he was just an ordinary person, but now he had become Xiantian martial artist. What was there to fear?
That's all there is to it.
Pyralis let out a melodious screech, clearly enjoying the place with its abundance of souls to devour, and vanished in an instant.
It was starving and was about to have a feast!
Jiang Jie continued down the spiral staircase, climbing hundreds or thousands of steps before finally reaching the bottom.
Continuing forward, Jiang Jie finally saw a greatsword embedded in the brick ground, emitting a ghastly green light—the aura of a demon, a dense concentration of evil magical energy!
