They refer to four Legendary elemental beings, the four Elemental Fury.
Outland is different from Azeroth.
The elements of Azeroth are far more powerful and terrifying than those of any other planet.
That's because Azeroth gave birth to the Titans World-Soul.
The Titans World-Soul absorbed all the soul energy, resulting in the early Azeroth being devoid of life, with only rampant elemental energy on its surface. This led to the birth of numerous Demigod- level elementals and the four Elemental Lords.
Then the Titan Keepers created the Elemental Plane, imprisoning the elements and, in a way, preserving them and their power.
In reality, the elemental forces on other planets could not possibly be that powerful.
It would be good enough if a few elemental Demigod were born; it would be impossible for Elemental Lords to be born!
There are no Titans World-Soul in Outland.
What this planet was like in its early days is now impossible to know.
The only thing that can be confirmed is:
The elements of this planet have never controlled it, and have never held a dominant position.
First came the Stone Giants and the will of plants, then the Genesaur and the Magnaron, then the Gronn and Ogres, then the Arakkoa, then Orcs Arakkoa, and then the Draenei.
With everything...
Countless life forms have evolved on this planet, and elements have been incorporated into it. There are hardly any regions that directly belong to the elements, so the elements are not very powerful.
It is certainly not as powerful as Azeroth.
Therefore, the Shaman of Outland are definitely not as powerful as the Shaman of Azeroth.
These four Elemental Fury were the most powerful elemental beings on this planet, a fact Jiang Jie only now realized.
"Then I received their guidance."
Nobundo said, "It took them many years to finally barely resist the power of the Cipher of Damnation and reconnect with the world itself. I had the same experience, so they chose me and guided me."
Nobundo did not actually lose the favor of the Holy Light, but was instead possessed by Fel, which obscured the Holy Light.
Just like the fate of the elements.
At that time, Nobundo faced a choice:
Choosing an element means abandoning the Holy Light.
He is not Jiang Jie; he cannot possess both elemental power and Holy Light simultaneously.
So, how do you choose?
He saw into his own heart.
"What do you want?" the element asked.
Nobundo replied, "I want to be able to help my people!"
"Then we will grant you this power," the element replied.
So Nobundo became a Shaman.
He became the representative of the Throne of the Elements and the Elemental Fury, and the most powerful Shaman in all of Outland.
"Elements and Holy Light are different."
Nobundo said, " Holy Light is omnipresent, and every world has its own elements. Although they are all earth, fire, water, and wind, and essentially the same, each world's elements are connected to the world itself; external elements are not. Therefore, when you arrive in a new world, you must gain the approval of the elements in order to maximize their power."
So where does this power come from?
"Nature originates from the world itself."
Nobundo said, "Light and shadow establish order, giving rise to the physical universe and the Twisting Nether, to order and chaos, to Arcane and Fel. All things grow, all things perish, to life and death, to nature and the Undead. And what constitutes the physical universe are the elements. Earth, fire, water, and wind form the foundation of this world, and then with the participation of souls, you and I came into being."
Elements themselves have no soul; 99% of elemental creatures lack their own will and intelligence. Those elemental creatures that do have souls each have a name and are exceptionally powerful.
Earth, fire, water, and wind—these elements give rise to all things.
The earth beneath our feet, the white clouds above our heads—everything is composed of earth, fire, water, and wind.
These four elements are also the foundation of the entire universe.
Therefore, communicating with the elements is equivalent to communicating with the planet itself.
So, what is the upper limit of an element?
"Don't even think about enslaving the elements. If you do that, you'll only gain a portion of their power, and you'll be abandoned by the other elements, abandoned by this world."
Nobundo said, "Try to communicate with the elements, try to become one with them. If you can do that, even a beginner, the most ordinary Shaman, can gain power beyond Legendary!"
This is true.
Thrall was later abandoned by the elements because he violated Orcs traditions, used elemental power for personal matters, and killed Garrosh Hellscream.
Before being abandoned by the elements, he truly possessed the power to wield power surpassing even the Legendary!
But is that really all there is to it?
In that case, the limits of a Shaman are actually no different from those of Druid —it's all about the planet itself?
wrong.
There is no doubt that Druid can not only harness the power of nature, but also the power of the astral plane.
So, what about Shaman?
The power of Shaman is the element.
But it's not just the four elements, there's also a fifth element:
soul.
The soul is the foundation.
That's why the Ancestral Spirit exist.
Shaman is a profession that communicates with the elements through the soul and becomes one with them.
Therefore, a powerful Shaman must possess a powerful soul.
For example, Ner'zhul in the past.
Jiang Jie understood clearly.
This is the correct way to interact with the elements; this is the true way of the Four Symbols elements.
Jiang Jie relaxed his mind.
He expressed his goodwill towards the world.
He was willing to help the elements solve the problem of the Cipher of Damnation, and he knew how to solve it. He knew where the crucial elements were, and he told the elements all of this.
He is willing to help this world find balance from its brokenness, and he is willing to help this world eliminate those hidden dangers, such as the one from Auchindoun, and the one from Netherstorm.
Then, he received a response from the elements, a response from the world itself.
He heard the sound of the wind, and he also heard the sound of the water.
They demanded that he keep his promise, and they made that promise.
They will help him understand the way of elemental balance, and they are willing to offer all the help they can in this world, responding to his call.
Jiang Jie became a Shaman.
He grasped the way to communicate and interact with the elements.
It can be used not only in Outland, but also back in Azeroth.
It can be used on any planet.
Because the elements are everywhere, they just need to be communicated.
Jiang Jie finally understood why Thrall was so powerful.
One year of exposure to Shaman is enough to destroy the massive Durnholde Keep;
In less than ten years, she was able to Deathwing, replace the Earth-Warder, and fight against Jaina, who possessed the Focusing Iris.
Shaman, indeed, is an incredibly powerful class!
The four minor Elemental Spirits left Jiang Jie's body and communicated with the four Elemental Fury, learning from each other's strengths and compensating for each other's weaknesses.
Jiang Jie's four elemental clones also appeared and communicated with this world.
Jiang Jie is ultimately stronger than an ordinary Shaman, stronger Thrall.
Because Thrall's power comes entirely from the world itself.
If he loses the support of the elements, the elemental power he can use will be very limited.
But Jiang Jie is different.
The four Elemental Spirits fully supported him, and the four elemental avatars came from the Monk's training system, representing his own power.
Even without the world's bounty, he was powerful enough.
Of course, if he could invoke the power of the world, he would inevitably become even more powerful.
Jiang Jie relaxed his mind and felt as if he had become an element, a wind, or a water.
This feeling is very strange.
In my mind, Xiao Feng, with his hands behind his back and head tilted back at a 45-degree angle, whispered:
"Forgetting oneself and the external world, achieving oneness with nature."
