" Renault, hold the line! Don't let the Undead break in! Not a single one!"

" Darion, don't be reckless! You're not Paladin yet! Stay behind your brother! Drag the wounded soldiers back! Bandage their wounds! Treat them with holy water! Sprinkle it on the dead! Don't let them rise from the Undead!"

"Miss Sally, quickly treat the soldiers' wounds! Don't worry about the minor injuries! Treat those who are dying! What? We've run out of holy water? Damn it, I knew this would happen!"

" Lilian, that Ghoul is yours! I don't expect you to kill it, just hold it off!"

"Miss Brigitte, let's take down that disgusting Abomination together!"

This is Felstone Field in western Andorhal, one of the largest farms in the entire Darrowmere region. The grain harvested here feeds two-thirds of Andorhal's population and is also transported to Hearthglen and Lordaeron to feed even more people!

Every year during the grain wars, this farm is of paramount importance. The Barov Family and several other wealthy and powerful families engage in open and covert struggles over the Felstone Field.

But that's impossible this year.

Andorhal was the epicenter of the Scourge Plague. All the farms nearby were personally "taken care of" by Kel'Thuzad, and most of the food supplies that could meet the needs of 30,000 people were infected with the plague. Only a very few granaries were "ignored".

This year, grain production in Lordaeron has decreased by at least 60%, making the grain stockpiled in previous years a lifeline. Hearthglen in the north is a major city after Lordaeron and Stratholme, with 50,000 residents. The daily grain consumption is astronomical, so naturally, no uncontaminated grain can be overlooked.

Lordaeron also needs to rely on the food supply from Tirisfal Glades; Hearthglen can't count on anything and has to rely on itself!

A little over ten days ago, Highlord Tirion Fordring returned to Hearthglen and issued an order requiring the Hearthglen troops to protect the uncontaminated food as much as possible while clearing out the Undead, and to find a way to transport it to Hearthglen to alleviate the immediate crisis.

Dalson's Tears, Gahrron's Withering, and Felstone Field —these three major farms in the area are naturally of paramount importance.

Taelan Tirion Fordring, the only son of the Highlord and Paladin recruit of the Order of the Silver Hand, volunteered to deliver grain to the farthest Felstone Field. He received permission from the Highlord and the support of several of his companions.

Along the way, they did demonstrate formidable combat prowess, but at Felstone Field, they were besieged by a large number of Undead. The 20 members of the Order of the Silver Hand and 300 Hearthglen recruits they brought suffered heavy casualties, with very few remaining.

In particular, an elite Ghoul, an Abomination, and a Undead lurking in the shadows caused them immense suffering and made them extremely difficult to deal with.

The Undead, who was nowhere to be seen, summoned thousands of Undead from the surrounding area!

The farm's fences were no match for these vile Undead, and they were now forced to defend themselves desperately in the makeshift fortifications built by the farm laborers!

"Are we going to die here?" the oldest, Renault, roared, cleaving a skeleton that crawled out of a grave in two with a single blow. "I don't want to die!"

He was the eldest son of Alexandros Mograine, the Highlord of Tirisfal Monastery, and the nominal first in line to the throne. Although his father favored his younger brother Darion, he only felt envy and no resentment towards his brother. He had always tried his best to attract his father's attention and had received his father's praise on many occasions.

He didn't want to die! He wanted to become a great Grand Knight like his father!

More importantly, he didn't want to watch the woman behind him die; he had to protect her!

"I will fight for you, my lady!"

Sally Whitemane,

Sally, the adopted daughter of Highlord Mograine Renault, is two years younger than Renault. Their relationship is extraordinary; they are lovers, one valiant and the other beautiful. As a devout Holy Priest, Sally diligently uses her Holy Light energy to heal the wounded soldiers. Because the holy water they brought has run out, Paladin are preoccupied with battle and cannot spare the time, they can only rely on her power.

Because she was the only surviving Priest among them! The other two Priest who came with her were now dead, their bodies lying in the ground!

Suddenly, she saw Renault, who was fighting ahead, being scratched on the shoulder by a Ghoul; a chunk of flesh had been torn away, and blood was flowing freely. She quickly raised her Priest's staff:

Heal, my warrior!

Brigitte Abbendis, the only daughter of Rend Abbendis, Grand General of the Order of the Silver Hand, is a rare female Paladin and a powerful mid-ranking Paladin!

She was young, but had a strong personality, even more masculine than Renault.

With a shield in one hand and an axe in the other, Brigitte is displaying incredible bravery. She has already killed the 13th zombie, the 17th skeleton, and 3 Ghoul. Even Renault and Taelan are no match for her!

But now, she was wounded; her shield had been knocked away by the Abomination's chains and Meathook, and her left arm was a bloody mess, almost broken! But she still endured the excruciating pain and fought alongside Taelan against the three-meter-tall Abomination!

"Don't even think about getting past me! You disgusting Abomination! Unless you kill me!"

Taelan Tirion Fordring, a strong man.

Although still young, during the year his father was away, he had to take care of his mother, study combat skills diligently, and pray to the Holy Light every day. Most importantly, while his father was away, he served as the lord and governor of Hearthglen, with countless matters to attend to every day.

Everything made him mature quickly, far more mature than his peers.

Facing that terrible Abomination, Taelan once again raised his warhammer and called upon the Holy Light:

"I brought you out here, and I will make sure you return alive!"

Lilian vanished once more, then suddenly reappeared, her dagger piercing the elite Ghoul's head with deadly precision. Before the Ghoul could turn and attack, she swiftly retreated.

Because of Jiang Jie's orders, she returned to Tirisfal Glades, but a few days later she was taken to Hearthglen by the One-Armed Invar and joined Taelan's party.

"Damn Ghoul!" Lilian weaved through the Undead, kicking a skeleton away.

Undead have no weaknesses; they are immune to Garrote, Sap attacks, and Hemorrhage, rendering many rogue skills unusable.

That elite Ghoul's reaction speed and agility were inferior to hers, yet she simply couldn't kill it. She had to admit that when facing Undead, Warrior or Paladin were far more powerful than rogues!

Most importantly, she is a thief focused on stealth and assassination, not a combat thief skilled in head-on confrontation!

" Nicholas, perhaps I will never see you again!" Lilian murmured to herself, looking up towards the west, the direction of Lordaeron, the direction of her Nicholas.

Then her eyes widened instantly, because she saw a griffin!

That's not important.

Most importantly, with her excellent eyesight, she spotted a person atop the griffin, completely clad in gray-black leather armor, gripping two daggers tightly in their hands!

Although the person's face was obscured by a gray-black veil, she recognized them at a glance, and at that moment, tears welled up in her eyes:

" Nicholas, you've come!"
