After a long hiatus, I'd like to share some heartfelt thoughts with everyone. Updates will officially resume tomorrow.
Good evening, dear readers who have been waiting for me.
I'm posting this today specifically to quietly and honestly explain the real reasons behind my hiatus. It's also a formal explanation to everyone who has been following my story and hasn't given up on me.
First and foremost: today's explanation is just my honest opinion. Starting tomorrow, I will officially resume regular updates.
The primary reason for this hiatus is that I'm experiencing health issues.
My long-time readers should know that I had previously taken a short break from updating due to health reasons. I originally only planned to take a few days to recover and then return immediately, never expecting it to take this long.
Writing is actually very mentally taxing; it's not just about typing. Every plot connection, character emotions, and foreshadowing requires me to be in a very focused and clear-headed state to write well.
I was extremely exhausted mentally and physically unwell recently. If I forced myself to keep updating, the content I wrote would definitely be perfunctory and dry.
I don't want to fudge the story, and I certainly don't want to fool all of you who have supported me. So I've decided to take a break from updating, rest and recuperate, and then pick up my pen again once I'm in a more stable state.
But to be honest, even after I recovered, I still hesitated to update. What really held me back was my own mindset.
During this hiatus, I repeatedly reviewed my previous posts and carefully read every comment in the comment section.
Many readers have been gently encouraging me, which has been incredibly heartwarming, and I will always remember it.
Of course, I also saw some negative comments from some readers, which I read carefully and kept in mind.
At first, I readily accepted the suggestions, thinking that I could gradually optimize and correct them later.
But after watching it for a while, I slowly fell into serious self-doubt and internal conflict.
I started to constantly doubt myself, always feeling that my writing wasn't good enough or perfect enough, and always worried that if I continued writing, more people would be disappointed. The more I struggled with this, the more timid I became, and the more timid I became, the less I dared to put pen to paper.
I was really negative during that time; I was constantly agonizing and anxious.
Some readers may have already noticed that my account has always been online; I frequently browse, read other novels, and check out content on the platform.
I want to be honest with everyone here: I have always used this account myself, and I have never lent it to anyone.
During that period, I was in a state of extreme escapism.
I know perfectly well that I still have a story to tell, and many readers are waiting for the sequel. But because of my lack of confidence, my fear of not writing well, and my fear of being questioned again, I repeatedly dare not open the document to start writing.
I felt guilty and anxious, but I didn't have the courage to face it. I could only keep refreshing the platform and reading other people's stories, envying their consistent updates while blaming myself for not being brave enough.
This vicious cycle continued day after day, dragging on until I felt ashamed of myself.
Countless times I've considered giving up, quitting, or simply stopping writing and running away. I felt my writing wasn't good enough, so I thought I might as well stop writing altogether, so I wouldn't have to accept criticism or waste my energy on internal conflicts.
But after calming down, I still couldn't get over it in my heart.
This book, these characters, and the entire story framework are all the result of my meticulous planning, refinement, and painstaking writing.
It may not be perfect, it may have many flaws and unsatisfactory aspects, but it is a story that I have carefully nurtured.
I cannot abandon all the readers who are waiting for me and hastily give up the whole story just because of a momentary lack of confidence or fear of negative reviews and doubts.
Others' opinions can be taken into consideration and can be used for improvement, but they cannot be a reason for me to give up.
I started writing because I wanted to share my thoughts with everyone. Regardless of whether they are good or bad, regardless of the controversy, my most basic responsibility as an author is to write my opening story well, completely, and seriously.
I've been gradually adjusting my mindset and slowly getting out of this internal conflict.
I no longer dwell excessively on others' opinions, nor do I endlessly magnify my own shortcomings. I've gradually come to understand that there is no absolutely perfect writing; all stories improve through gradual refinement. Correcting flaws and optimizing shortcomings, and continuing to write steadily, is the greatest responsibility I can take to my readers and myself.
So I finally decided to pick up my pen again and officially return to updating.
I'm so sorry for the long hiatus; I've made everyone wait so long.
Many readers may have already left or quit the fandom, and I completely understand and have no complaints.
I sincerely thank those of you who haven't unfollowed, who have waited patiently, and who still remember this book.
Starting tomorrow, I will update regularly, write diligently, and take each chapter seriously. I will not be perfunctory or pad the word count, and I will do my best to make the subsequent plot complete and exciting.
I can't guarantee that everyone will like what follows, but I can assure you that every word from now on is written with my heart and soul.
We'll walk the road ahead slowly, and write our stories gradually.
Thank you again for your understanding, patience, and unwavering support.
See you tomorrow for the main content.
Finally, I'd like to share something from my heart:
In this post about my return, all my experiences, struggles, mindset, and thoughts are my most genuine feelings.
My initial draft was rather fragmented and colloquial. In order to give everyone a more formal and organized account, I used AI to polish the sentences and optimize the layout after organizing my thoughts.
Therefore, the text will appear relatively neat, but all the core content, emotions, and decisions are 100% my own, without any fabrication or ghostwriting.
