Qingmu didn't understand the native language Mrs. Larry was shouting, but he understood that she meant for the savages not to eat the corpses of their companions. He didn't know if this kind of humanitarianism had any meaning in such a primitive tribe, but since Situ could tame the savages from eating people, he should be able to do it too. Besides, he really didn't want to see anyone eating people in front of him.

Qingmu issued a command in his mind not to eat people. Some of the savages looked confused and puzzled, and some even showed anger. But none of them objected; they just stood or sat blankly.

Mrs. Larry said to Qingmu, "Let them dig a pit and bury the body, otherwise it will rot quickly in this weather. We are not familiar with the environment here, and there might be some rare virus that could spread through the rotting corpses and water. Burning the corpses and eating them might also be a primitive way of avoiding contamination."

The savage wizard, now replaced by Qingmu, said something to Mrs. Larry. Mrs. Larry frowned and argued fiercely with him. The old wizard glanced at Qingmu and then fell silent.

Qingmu didn't know what they were arguing about. He issued a command in his mind, ordering some strong savages to dig a pit and bury the corpse. Several people quickly stood up, but a few others seemed reluctant. They exchanged glances and then looked at the savage shaman. One of them even shouted:

" Kubota!"

Kubota was probably the old wizard's name. He looked up, glared at the man, and mumbled something in gibberish. The others then stood up and went to dig holes.

Qingmu could tell that old man Kubota still held considerable prestige among the savages. The tribe regarded Qingmu as a descended god, but not everyone was convinced of his authority, especially since he hadn't demonstrated any greater divine power Kubota in the battle he had just commanded.

Putting yourself in his shoes, is Kubota regretting handing over the divinely bestowed scepter to him right now?

Kubota, despite losing his scepter, was not easily defeated; on the contrary, Qingmu knew his Mental Power was formidable. Moreover, the old man was rather strange; he had been observing the battle without participating. Qingmu could, of course, have used his consciousness to issue commands to him through the scepter, but he didn't. Firstly, he felt it unnecessary, and secondly, Mrs. Larry was talking to the old man at the time.

Mrs. Larry stood up and walked over to a wounded savage. The savage's thigh was pierced, and blood flowed all over his leg, which was also covered with dirt and leaves. When he saw Mrs. Larry approaching, he looked somewhat frightened, and his eyes showed a pleading look.

Mrs. Larry crouched down and reached out to touch the savage's leg. The savage shuddered in fright, screamed, and crawled backward, bracing himself on the ground with his hands.

Qingmu couldn't understand why the savage was so afraid of Mrs. Larry. With a thought, he entered the savage's consciousness to investigate. Now that he had the scepter, hypnotizing them had become much easier, even more convenient than hypnotizing ordinary people in the past. He saw that Mrs. Larry was everywhere in the savage's dreams, sometimes showing scenes of her being tortured, and sometimes transforming into a vengeful demon.

Qingmu couldn't bear to watch any longer, so he exited the savage's dream.

Mrs. Larry gestured with her hands to calm the savage, and mumbled a few words. The savage quieted down, but his fear was still evident in his eyes.

The lady brushed away the mud and leaves from the savage's legs to examine his wounds, then turned to say a few words to Kubota, Kubota responded in kind.

The lady called out to Petru, " Petru, there are some hemostatic herbs they've gathered on the ground over there, those thorny purple flowers, and those golden things that look like dog hair. Bring them to me. Also, try to get some thornless, thin vines that are flexible."

Petru shouted, "Madam, I recognize him! I know what he did to you! I wish I could shoot him right now! And you're treating his wounds..."

" Petru!" the lady shouted, stopping her abruptly. "Go quickly! Their wounds are still bleeding!"

"My God, I'm Redbeard Petru, but I've become a nurse in white!"

Petru grumbled as he carried over the piles of wild grass, then pulled some vines from the nearby woods and angrily threw them next to the injured savage.

"The wound needs to be cleaned thoroughly," Mrs. Larry added. "Mr. Qingmu, could you have them fetch some water?"

Qingmu then gave the command to fetch water, and some savages, who had somehow acquired bags and ladles, went to the lake and fetched some clean water.

" Petru, come help! You know better than them how to clean wounds." Mrs. Larry held a ladle in one hand and scooped water from it with the other, beginning to clean the savage's wounds.

Petru reluctantly knelt down. "Madam, I don't understand. It's one thing if you don't want to hurt people, but why did you save them? They are cannibalistic savages, their crimes are countless, even God wouldn't forgive them!"

"Stop talking, Petru!" Mrs. Larry shoved the gourd in her hand at Petru. "I'm not a saint, I'm not doing good deeds, I'm just doing what I can. In this godforsaken place, what's the point of killing everyone except for a momentary thrill? If God truly exists, I think he will treat my fate justly. Those who deserve judgment will be judged sooner or later! And those who need to let go, we must let go of now!"

"I can't let it go!" Petru shouted.

Mrs. Larry looked up at Petru earnestly and said, " Petru, I understand your feelings. But we can't, at least not now. We may face an even more complex situation. You know, the writing I discovered doesn't just belong to these savages; it could very well have been left by a more advanced civilization, something humanity has been searching for, concerning the fate of humankind and the truth of the universe. Before these things, personal honor and disgrace mean nothing!"

Petru's eyes lit up. "Madam, do you truly understand my feelings?"

Mrs. Larry said, "I'll consider your feelings once we're out of here."

Petru and helped clean the savage's wounds, but he used too much force. The savage's wounds hadn't scabbed over yet; they were just covered with blood clots and dirt, and now fresh blood gushed out again.

"No, he's injured a major artery. We have to stop the bleeding." Mrs. Larry tore off a piece of vine, wrapped it around the top of the savage's thigh, and handed it to Petru. "Help me tie it tight."

The old wizard Kubota watched them silently, his brows furrowed, a complex expression in his eyes.

Petru happened to turn his head and saw the savage's face. His anger flared up, and he tightened his grip on the vine. The savage cried out in pain. Petru felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction upon hearing the savage's scream.

Mrs. Larry picked some leaves and stamens from the herbs and asked Kubota in a foreign language, "Is that so?"

Kubota nodded expressionlessly.

Mrs. Larry stuffed the flowers and leaves into her mouth, chewed them up, spat them out, and applied them to the savage's wounds.

The bleeding from the wound stopped. Mrs. Larry then found some broad, long leaves that resembled bamboo leaves and wrapped the wound to prevent the herbs from falling off.

Then, she stood up and walked towards the next wounded soldier.

Kubota sighed and stood up as well.
