I am Ronald Cohen, and I dedicate this book to the few remaining days of my life.

I know there's no hope of escaping this well in this lifetime. May Gaia bless me, that someone will see this letter a thousand years from now. This is humanity's last hope! (And a picture book)

Please forgive my clumsy handwriting, crude language, and the incessant rambling of a dying old man.

I know that no electronic document can be preserved for that long, even though I prepared more information on my computer, including Ramla's spatial model.

But our ship has long since run out of power, everyone is dead, and only this old man is left clinging to life. By the time you read this letter, my remains and the Swordfish will be rotten beyond repair, the ship's computers will no longer be able to be started, and the hard drive data will have long since vanished.

Only this special paper made of nanomaterials is sure to remain. Theoretically, this paper can be preserved for over 100,000 years, but given the harsh environment of Ramla, I conservatively adjust this timeframe to 10,000 years. (And the Tushu... )

Of course, the "year" I'm referring to is the familiar unit of time based on Earth's spacetime scale, which may not be applicable or meaningful here.

Everything here is still.

I can see the distant stars—the entire Orion Arm encircles us—but I know they and I are not actually in the same space. What I see is merely a projection of the universe into a deep well.

This is a Stasis Spacetime in the Milky Way, a dead well in the universe.

The well water was still, reflecting the sky like a mirror. Blue-green algae spread in the water, and mayflies feasted on it. Life seemed to be flourishing, yet the well water and the Milky Way were not connected; it could not exchange energy and matter with that vast universe I knew.

According to the second law of thermodynamics, the entropy within an isolated system will continuously increase. This sealed deep well will eventually undergo heat death in a very short time, heading towards true demise, Annihilation like a soap bubble.

And now we've fallen into that well.

The only hope is that when the Deep Well dies, the energy of spatial Annihilation will push the Swordfish to the edge of the well, and the spacetime string will bounce us back to Ramla. Although this is an extremely low probability event. And after returning to Ramla, the probability of being found by someone other than the Itza People (I pray it's Earthlings) before the scorching sun and floods destroy us is even smaller.

Of course, now that you've seen my last words, it proves that this low-probability event has occurred, and I'm very fortunate.

We are all descendants of Gaia!

You may not believe it, but this Mother Earth in Greece mythology is truly the goddess who gives birth to life!

But what I want to talk about today is not mythology, but a real cosmic event. This event will make it clear to us where we come from, where we are going, and what the purpose of our active lives is.

This involves many things—scientific, theological, philosophical... and given Gaia's name, I must add one more point about Greece civilization.

In ancient Greece mythology, Gaia is the mother of the earth. She created the gods and all things; apart from Chaos, the god of chaos, it can be said that everything was created by Gaia.

However, Greece mythology and Greece civilization are not the same. Greece civilization was the source of Europe civilization, which flourished for thousands of years afterward. Regardless of its intricate connections with other ancient civilizations, its development was an independent event. Greece mythology, on the other hand, was pieced together from fragmented stories collected by wandering bards like Homer, Hesiod, Pindar, and Bacchylides from the Mediterranean Sea and Aegean Sea coasts. It actually has other origins—the myths of Ancient Egypt, Phoenicia, and Sumer.

Ah, this is a long story, so I don't want to go into detail about the relationship between these civilizations and myths. If any of you are historians or archaeologists, you certainly know more than I do, or if you have a computer that's still running and has the Encyclopaedia Britannica installed, you can verify it yourself. hetushu. com. com

Although the Greece created many names for the gods, Chaos, Gaia, and Uranus were not their creations. These three gods appear in the myths of many ancient civilizations, and like the Great Flood in all myths, they tell us that human civilization originated from a single source.

The Maya civilization, separated by oceans, also has the names Chaos and Gaia, but few people know about them. I only saw them in an article written by the late Mr. Yeger, which explored the Maya pantheon.

The Itza People, who live in Ramla, also mention these gods.

Oh right, you should already know what Ramla is, right? If not, well, I'll tell you. It's the special space you're in right now. It's a collection of wormholes that wriggles through the Milky Way. Some scientists also call these wormholes " Ant Nest."

Ramla connects many planets, and it is not actually entirely naturally formed, but rather created by Gaia using her wisdom.

We still need to get back to Gaia. We need to explain Gaia to explain Ramla; it's a vicious cycle. Good heavens, where do I even begin?

Please forgive my rambling; I'm just too old. You know, I'm over ninety years old now. All the young officers and soldiers on the ship have died. It's a miracle that I'm still alive!

Let's continue talking about the Itza People.

I don't know if any of you have encountered Itza People, but if you have, be very careful! They eat people, glorify violence and promiscuity, and spread diseases and plagues. They are not only an uncivilized and barbaric race, but also the Guardian of the evil Itza.

In their mythology, Gaia became a god hostile to Unabu, and Itza led them in rebellion against Gaia's rule—how absurd! Everything was created by Gaia, Gaia mother of all things; what child would kill its mother? It was Uranus who should rebel—oh yes, called Unabu in Maya and Itza People.

If you are familiar with Greece mythology, you should know that Uranus betrayed Gaia and ruled the gods with cruelty, and it was Kronos who ultimately overthrew him. Gaia is the eternal mother, and Kronos is the true hero! As for Zeus, that's a name invented by the Greece and is irrelevant to this article.

Okay, now I'm going to start telling you the real origin of Gaia.

The second law of thermodynamics tells us that in an irreversible thermodynamic process, the incremental increase in entropy is always greater than zero. As an isolated system, the entropy of our universe will continue to increase, and when it reaches its maximum value, the universe will head towards heat death.

As an entropy increase theorem that holds equal status with the law of conservation of energy, it shows us the irreversibility of death and makes us feel the despair that the universe will one day die.

So what is the meaning of life?

According to the principle of entropy increase, everything should move from order to disorder. According to this theory, nothing in the universe should be more ordered than it is now, so there is no reason for life to evolve from lower to higher forms.

Fortunately, the entropy of the universe does not always increase continuously and uniformly. The universe is so vast that at certain times and in certain regions, there will always be fluctuations in entropy, like tides. This gave life the opportunity to emerge and evolve.

Boltzmann said: If the known low-entropy universe originates from fluctuations in entropy, then many low-entropy self-awarenesses should also appear in the fluctuations, such as a lonely brain.

Long, long ago (forgive me, I don't know exactly how long ago), within the Orion Spur of the Milky Way, a significant, accidental decrease in entropy occurred, giving birth to a gigantic Boltzmann Brain—

Her name is Gaia.
