Tafiti was still putting up a desperate fight. She bared her teeth at the people, letting out a low growl.
Anderson suddenly rushed forward, grabbed Tafiti's arm, and grinned at Boris, " Alice, a fish! Look, a big fish! Hehehe..."
Tafiti's left hand was grabbed, and the arrow in her right hand stabbed fiercely into Anderson's chest.
Alice yelled, "Watch out, Anderson!"
Anderson, oblivious to everything, continued chuckling, while Boris rushed forward, grabbed Tafiti's right hand, and roared with laughter, "Fish, big fish! Submarine fishing! Hahaha..."
The two Madman each grabbed one of Tafiti's arms, laughing hysterically as if they had found the most fun thing to do, and started spinning around in circles among the pile of dead bodies.
Tafiti struggled desperately, but both men were incredibly strong, and she couldn't break free. She could only scream and try to bite them, but she couldn't reach them.
The anger in her eyes intensified, and her sorrow deepened.
Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth; it was unclear whether she had bitten her tongue or vomited blood due to extreme anger. The blood flowed down her chin and onto her chest, like an oil painting on her black body.
The two Madman refused to stop.
Ivan called out to Boris a few times, but Boris ignored him, so he pulled out his pistol and pointed it at Tafiti. But he didn't fire immediately; instead, he looked at Situ like an employee asking his employer for his opinion.
Situ looked a little hesitant.
Qingmu knew what he was hesitating about. He could see Tafiti's role in the Mental Power Formation, Situ should be able to as well. Perhaps this woman was the key to solving some mysteries, but using her for research at this time seemed somewhat inhumane. You just killed her entire family, wiped out her entire clan, and now you're taking her to the world's cruelest laboratory for research. In the dream laboratory, her experiences will be repeated again and again, and with each repetition, her mental anguish will be amplified countless times.
Even the most indifferent person wouldn't easily make such a decision!
Although the others didn't know Situ's true thoughts, they were also deeply conflicted. No one is an executioner, and no one enjoys slaughter, especially killing a woman who is powerless to resist. But this woman was now living a life worse than death, and they had no better way to deal with her; perhaps death was her best release.
Situ glanced at Qingmu, then looked at Mrs. Larry.
Mrs. Larry said, "She may be the only survivor of the Itza People."
"What should we do then?" Alice asked.
Mrs. Larry sighed, "Many races have gone extinct on Earth. As civilization has developed to this day, we start looking for traces of those races' existence. A skull, a strand of hair, a shard of pottery—we treasure them all. But their extinction was caused by our own ancestors! In the past, I only imagined the ancient conflicts from archaeological remains, but today I've witnessed it with my own eyes."
If there were only one dog left in the world, how would you treat it? Even if that dog had gone mad.
If there were only one Native American left in the world, how would you treat her? Even if she harbored hatred towards you.
You'll probably say, "We must protect it!"
Our civilization has led us to focus on the value of life itself, to worry about the survival of Africa elephants and white rhinos, and for a panda giving birth to twins to become a major news story. We seem to have become saviors, believing that every corner of the world and every life deserves our care and protection. We take pride in this and enjoy the resulting sense of species superiority.
Now, only one Itza People remains in Ramla, and we don't know how to treat her, simply because we were witnesses to the events.
People are always quick to condemn others, yet few can see their own sins; they are accustomed to sympathizing with the weak under the knife of others, yet few are willing to save so-called enemies whose interests conflict with their own.
Mrs. Larry spoke calmly, as if describing a story from the Rome Colosseum, without sympathy, pity, or a trace of emotional fluctuation. She offered no advice on how to deal with Tafiti, nor did she offer any suggestions.
After she finished speaking, she slowly turned around, pointed to the field beside the altar, and said, " Petru, come with me for a walk over there. I can't stand the smell here."
Petru and said, "I'm happy to oblige, madam!"
Watching them walk away, Situ said to Ivan, "Let her suffer less."
Ivan understood and pointed his gun at Tafiti again.
Boris and Anderson were still spinning Tafiti around, but Tafiti was too weak to struggle, her legs dragging on the ground as the two men dragged her through the pile of corpses.
She kept her head down, occasionally raising it to let out a hoarse, weak roar, though her eyes remained fierce. The only thing she wore, the grass skirt, was long gone, and her body was covered in blood, mud, and the flesh of the dead.
Just as Ivan fired, Tafiti looked up. She saw the muzzle of the gun, bared her teeth fiercely, and then, for some reason, a smile appeared on her lips—it was hard to tell whether it was the relief of knowing she was about to be free, or a mockery of the devil.
Bang!
A shot rang out.
The bullet pierced Tafiti's forehead precisely. Tafiti leaned back, her neck went limp, and her long, disheveled hair trailed on the ground from her back.
Anderson suddenly cried out in grief, as if someone had stolen the fish he had just caught.
"Fish! My fish!"
Boris yelled along, "The fish are gone! The submarine is gone!"
The two men shook Tafiti's body desperately, but the "fish" could never come back to life.
"Fish!"
The two Madman started digging frantically through the pile of corpses again, trying to find another live fish. But they could only dig up a severed hand, then half a head, and seeing that they were all dead, they threw them aside and continued digging.
Ivan tried to step forward to stop him, but Situ stopped him.
"Let them go. They'll stop when they're tired."
Ivan silently turned away, no longer looking.
However, something unexpected happened—
Alice was the first to notice the situation and issue a warning.
" Anderson, throw it away!" she shouted.
People then noticed that Anderson was holding a hand grenade.
This is what he and Boris dug out of a pile of corpses.
The group threw a total of seven grenades at the Itza People. Perhaps due to the powerful Mental Power influence and the urgency of the situation, one of them was thrown without the pin being pulled, and it just so happened that Anderson dug it up.
Alice's screams did nothing to change anything; Anderson had already pulled the pin on the grenade. He and Boris sat facing each other on the pile of corpses, staring at each other, chuckling, "Fish! Fish! Hehe..."
Alice tried to rush forward, but Su Huilan grabbed her. Ivan also tried to rush over, but Situ and Qingmu tackled him to the ground at the same time.
boom--
Qingmu lay on the ground, feeling a wave of heat wash over him, followed by a shower of tiny things falling on his back.
