Previously, Fu Yunyi acted as an intermediary to find Xia Zhiyi a role. Xu Chen has already communicated with the other party, and Xia Zhiyi is expected to go there to participate in the filming in early November.
When the director, who had previously angered investors by driving them away, first heard that Xia Zhiyi wasn't planning to take leave for filming, he hesitated. But somehow, the final decision reached Xia Zhiyi was that he should go over every weekend.
Of course, this result came after Xia Zhiyi passed an audition specially arranged by the director. Otherwise, the director wouldn't have hesitated; he would have immediately rejected Xia Zhiyi upon hearing the news.

Simply put, for most of the past years, he has been playing the role of someone else's life.
Even if their acting wasn't perfect at first, they would improve over time.
Moreover, he already possessed this talent.
Director Li had only made a casual guess, since his knowledge of Xia Zhiyi to the entertainment industry, aside from Xu Zixu in front of him, seemed to be limited to that live-streamed variety show that had recently trended on social media.
In that variety show, the ones currently involved in acting are naturally Fu Yunyi and Qin Yue.
Director Li was somewhat surprised when Xia Zhiyi agreed, "Is that really so? But judging from your performance just now, given Old Mu's picky nature, it's not entirely unexpected that he chose you."
"If that's the case, then it's not so troublesome. You should be playing the role of Yan Yan, right?"
Yan Yan is the name of the third male lead in the drama series " Chasing the Front Line " where Fu Yunyi is a member.
Xia Zhiyi nodded.
Director Li looked impressed, then reached out and patted him on the shoulder. "Good lad, keep it up. With your current acting skills, this role won't be too difficult for you, you'll definitely shine."
Judging from the implication, Director Li clearly knew some of the plot details, and probably had a good relationship with that Director Mu.
Xia Zhiyi smiled and humbly said that he was just lucky. They were short of people and he was lucky to get the job. He would do his best and so on.
However, Director Li knew he couldn't continue today. The footage from the music video recording was more than enough. If he really wanted to continue filming with Xia Zhiyi, he would have to prepare a complete script and... talk to Xia Zhiyi's agent about a collaboration.
That's a matter for later; there's no need to draw any conclusions now. Whether or not cooperation will happen remains to be seen.
That evening, Xia Zhiyi, along with Ming Taotao, Xu Zixu, and Director Li, had dinner together. None of them were the type to boast at the dinner table, so the meal was simply a simple meal.
After the meal, Xia Zhiyi and Director Li first saw Xu Zixu off to his car. After watching the two cars leave, Xia Zhiyi formally said goodbye to Director Li and took Ming Taotao away in a taxi.
Director Li himself said he wanted to find a place to stay here for another night, and then go out to scout locations tomorrow to shoot some additional scenes, the kind that didn't require Xia Zhiyi, the main character, to be present.
Xia Zhiyi first took Ming Taotao to her place and then went back to her apartment.
"Hello?" Her phone rang as she opened the door. Xia Zhiyi glanced at it and answered immediately, "You're off work?"
"Well, I've basically finished all the work. Looking at the time, I figured you should be heading home by now."
The man's deep voice came through the microphone, mellow and pleasant to the ear. Xia Zhiyi's lips unconsciously curved into a smile as she casually placed the keys on the cabinet in the entryway.
Xia Zhiyi: "What a coincidence! I just got back to my apartment and was just thinking of calling you later, but you called first."
Fu Chi: "Are you staying at the apartment tonight?"
Xia Zhiyi: "Well, Sister Chen brought the script over here before, and I took some time to come and take a look today. It seems the production team has made some adjustments, so I need to review it again."
Memorizing lines is a breeze for him; Xia Zhiyi, never worries about forgetting lines or lyrics. However, if the script is revised, he has to memorize them all over again.
Yan Yan, the character, has quite a few scenes with the male lead played by Fu Yunyi. He's a kind of "white moonlight" character, having a lot of contact with the male lead in the early stages, but later... later he just appears in various flashbacks because he died very early, and he died saving the male lead.
The most important reason why they would hand the script to Xia Zhiyi, a complete newcomer, is that Yan Yan's character and Xia Zhiyi's current character have a high degree of overlap.
He's skilled, has a youthful face, and seems gentle and easy to talk to, but he never hesitates to take action when necessary.
The only difference is that Yan Yan doesn't talk much. In the story, he mostly agrees with what others say and rarely expresses his own opinions. He is more reserved than Xia Zhiyi herself.
This character is basically given the "white moonlight" script (meaning she's the ideal woman/girlfriend), so as long as the acting isn't terribly bad, there shouldn't be any major mistakes. However, it's not easy to make her stand out.
Xu Chen doesn't need Xia Zhiyi out; he's still a newcomer, as long as she doesn't mess things up.
Xia Zhiyi himself needed such a role to officially begin adapting to the identity of an actor, so this role was just right for him.
Well, it would be even better if no other problems arise later.
Fu Chi had obtained some work arrangements for Xia Zhiyi through Xu Chen, so he was naturally aware of this matter. Upon hearing this, he simply said, "If there's anything you need me to do, just let me know."
Xia Zhiyi: "Okay."
Then he asked, "Are you free Friday night? I'd like to visit you before heading to the film set to recharge."
Fu Chi asked in confusion, "Charging?"
Xia Zhiyi smiled, "It's nothing, I just want to have a meal with you, and spend some quiet time together."
As her boyfriend, Xia Zhiyi didn't need Fu Chi to do anything. From the moment they confirmed their relationship, Xia Zhiyi treated him as a place to rest, a safe haven, or a charging station.
Or rather, for Xia Zhiyi, it was enough for him to simply spend some quiet time with him when he needed it.
Fu Chi is an emotional anchor that Xia Zhiyi chose for herself, and one of the mediums that allows her to perceive the world more clearly.
Xia Wanyi, as Xia Zhiyi sister, is his anchor point for returning to this world. However, Xia Zhiyi is well aware that he cannot keep his anchor point on Xia Wanyi forever, because she and he are ultimately two different people. Xia Wanyi has her own life and may have her own little family in the future.
Xia Zhiyi was well aware of this.
As luck would have it, Fu Chi bumped into him, and so everything just happened naturally.
