My assessment of Captain Marvel comes from my understanding as a viewer.
I acknowledge that she did many things, but her long absence from the planet and her unfulfilled promises cannot be ignored by me.
If my handling of this matter makes people who like Captain Marvel uncomfortable, I apologize in advance.
sorry!
However, I don't plan to change it, because that's the impression she gave me.
The two people I hate most in Marvel are Fury and Carol.
Earth has never truly recovered since Thanos the Snap.
The post-war ruins, though devoid of the smoke of gunpowder, exude a deathly stillness and desolation.
Half the world's population vanished into thin air. Walking down the street, the city was empty and desolate, a feeling that made one's heart ache.
Most ordinary survivors are trapped in one of two states.
They either become immersed in the grief of the sudden loss of loved ones and friends, spending their days in a daze and filled with regret, unable to escape the shadow of the catastrophe.
You either force yourself to adapt, life goes on, even if there are empty spaces around you and emptiness in your heart.
The panic never completely dissipated; it was merely suppressed by the monotony of daily life. No one knew whether another cosmic catastrophe would strike, and everyone could only live cautiously, filled with unease.
During this period, none of the SSC members took a break.
Steve led everyone on a journey around the world, counting the number of missing persons, registering disaster data, building shelters, and calming panicked people. Everyone carried a heavy burden of guilt; they knew better than anyone that their mistakes and stubbornness had indirectly caused this disaster.
They can clean up the mess on Earth, but they can't find a trace of the culprit.
Lynn and Thanos seemed to have vanished completely from the universe.
Even with Carol's return to Earth, the stalemate remained unbroken. Her arrival only added to the fighting force, but no one could yet figure out Thanos's movements.
Just when the entire team was feeling powerless and confused, the alarm in the base monitoring room suddenly went off.
On the instrument screen, an extremely familiar energy curve was jumping wildly.
Banner stared at the screen, his expression suddenly changing. "It's the energy of the Infinity Stones! Exactly the same energy Thanos had back then!"
Tony instantly locked onto the coordinates.
The anger and frustration that had been building up for days surged up instantly.
Without the slightest hesitation, Steve immediately issued the order to assemble.
Captain America, Bucky, Hawkeye, Sam, Rhodey, Wanda, Quicksilver, Ivan, Tony, Banner, Carol, Strange... the entire crew immediately assembled, their fighter jets took off, broke through the atmosphere, and headed straight for the distant Garden Planet.
The long interstellar voyage came to an end, and the coordinate planet came into view.
As everyone landed, they were all mentally prepared for a major battle.
But when they finally saw what was in front of them, everyone was stunned.
The ruins left by Lynn and Thanos during their previous battle have already been cleared away.
Broken stones and broken wood were neatly piled up, the cracked earth was plowed anew, and neat rows of furrows covered the wasteland. Scattered seedlings took root in the barren soil, revealing a faint glimmer of life.
A simple reclining chair sat beside the edge of the field.
Lynn leaned back in his deck chair, his posture relaxed and casual, quietly watching the fields before him. There was no trace of murderous intent about him; he was as calm as an ordinary person living in seclusion here.
Not far away, Thanos, who strikes fear into the hearts of the entire universe, is dressed in simple clothes, bending over and holding farming tools, quietly working in the fields.
The cosmic overlord, who has spent half his life in battle, is now cultivating the land...
This starkly contrasting scene evoked mixed feelings in everyone, along with a surge of anger.
The noise of the fighter jet landing startled the two men.
Lynn slowly raised his eyes, looked at the approaching group, and said calmly, "You've finally arrived. I've been waiting for you for a long time."
There were no pleasantries, no explanations.
Unable to contain their anger, Steve and his team instantly went into battle mode.
Everyone just wanted to rush up immediately, defeat Thanos, and avenge half the dead in the universe.
"Don't move."
With a soft shout, Lynn created an invisible barrier that instantly blocked everyone's path.
The barrier had a gentle texture, yet it was as solid as a rock. No matter how hard everyone tried to break through it, it remained unmoved, directly blocking all their attacks.
" Lynn, he's Thanos!"
Thanos stopped what he was doing in the field and slowly straightened up. He looked at the crowd of people filled with rage, but stood silently, accepting all their hatred with equanimity.
Carol frowned deeply in the crowd.
She had never met Lynn before and knew nothing about his identity or background. All she could sense was that this young man possessed unfathomable power, yet he had protected Thanos butcher.
In her mind, those who sheltered the butcher were not good people either.
There was no probing, no questioning.
Carol's body suddenly exploded with golden light, and the vast and domineering Cosmic Energy instantly swept across the entire wasteland. In a flash, she transformed into a golden streak of light, tearing through the air with extreme speed, and arrived in front of Lynn in an instant. Her attack was a killing move, without holding back at all, aimed directly at vital points.
Faced with this sudden and deadly attack, Lynn remained calm, but a deep displeasure arose within him.
Ever since Thanos destroyed the Infinity Stones, the four counterfeit stones on Lynn's chest have been slowly reviving, gradually awakening the authority of the original stones.
The four fundamental elements—space, Mind Stone, reality, and power—take root and circulate within him, allowing his strength to steadily increase.
He already had a very poor impression of Carol.
Earth is the land that gave her birth and nurtured her, yet because of a promise she never kept, she has wandered the universe for decades, spending her days among countless star systems.
Despite possessing knowledge far exceeding that of Earth's civilization and the ability to traverse the stars, she has never taken the time to return to improve Earth's interstellar defenses or upgrade its communication systems.
Over the decades, all she left behind for Earth was a pager that could only send one-way distress calls, offering virtually no real-time support.
There are countless advanced civilizations in the universe, and interstellar transportation is readily available. Lynn simply doesn't believe it, and she hasn't taken a single moment to look back at her homeland in decades.
They claim to care about the Earth, yet they feel perfectly justified in wandering abroad.
Looking at himself, Lynn also often ran off on his own, but what he left for Earth and his companions was always real-time communication, never leaving his rear in a state of isolation and helplessness.
If you can't protect, there's no need to boast about it.
The pent-up discontent in her heart finally erupted with Carol's ruthless and deadly move.
Lynn no longer held back.
Seven-colored particles instantly appeared, enveloping the entire wasteland. The four primal stone authority fused their power, forming a terrifying aura that crushed everything.
He neither dodged nor evaded, but instead clenched his fist and met the incoming golden fist head-on!
Boom!!
A deafening roar shook the heavens, and a violent energy shockwave swept outwards instantly. The ground cracked layer by layer, the newly cultivated fields crumbled, dust and gravel flew everywhere, and the blinding light made everyone present instinctively close their eyes and avoid the danger.
The two extreme forces collided, crushed, and crashed together.
The next second, Carol's expression changed drastically.
Click--
The rocky ground beneath their feet suddenly collapsed, and fine cracks spread rapidly.
Carol's momentum was instantly shattered, and she was sent flying backward uncontrollably, her body crashing to the ground and sliding dozens of meters into the barren land, raising dust and looking extremely disheveled.
One move.
In just one head-on clash, Carol was completely defeated.
The entire hall fell silent.
Thanos stood quietly in the field, his expression calm. After enduring so many beatings, he was no longer surprised by Lynn's fighting prowess.
As the dust settled, Carol gritted her teeth and pushed herself up, her hair disheveled, her eyes filled with resentment and stubbornness.
She had never lost so miserably. Her golden light surged once more, and she was about to charge forward again to fight.
But the moment she moved, an invisible spatial force instantly imprisoned her body.
Despite Carol's frantic struggles and thrashing, the cage remained unmoved, completely sealing off all her movements.
Lynn withdrew his fist and stood still, seven-colored divine light slowly flowing around his body, his aura calm and cold, full of pressure.
He stepped forward slowly, looking at the imprisoned Carol, his voice calm yet carrying an undeniable tone. "I don't want to destroy this place. I've lived on this planet for a while, and I'd really like Natasha to experience its environment."
"If you still want to play, we can continue somewhere else."
"However... at that point, life and death will be irrelevant."
The wilderness is calm, with only a light dust mote rising.
Everyone present felt incredibly conflicted. On one side was Thanos, who had personally wiped out half of all life in the universe, and on the other Lynn, who was protecting Thanos.
On one side is Captain Marvel, firmly imprisoned and filled with resentment.
No one dared to make a move easily, nor did anyone dare to speak rashly; the only sound in the entire wasteland was the soft rustling of sand and wind.
Lynn glanced at Steve and his group, whose expressions varied, and the seven-colored particles slowly receded, losing their cold sharpness from the previous battle.
He didn't let the stalemate continue, and took the initiative to speak, recounting in a clear and organized manner everything that had happened during this period.
He recounted Thanos destroyed the Infinity Stones and described his actions during that period.
I know you all hate him.
Lynn looked calmly at the group of SSC team members, whose emotions were complicated, and spoke with sincerity and determination.
"No one can forgive him for the mistakes he made on behalf of the victims. But keeping him around doesn't mean the victims have forgiven his sins; he's still useful. There are some things that need to be redeemed and made amends for; he needs to clean up the mess he created."
He paused, his gaze sweeping across everyone's faces, and slowly began to reassure them.
"I don't want anyone else to sacrifice themselves. You all know me; I won't do anything I'm not sure I can handle."
"So, you don't need to worry or be anxious. The Earth still needs your protection, and I assure you, those who have disappeared will return one day."
These resolute words instantly captivated everyone's attention. They all looked up, a faint glimmer of hope igniting in their eyes, staring intently at Lynn.
Facing the expectant gazes of the crowd, Lynn's tone grew even more resolute as he solemnly promised, "It's true, it's just that the time isn't right yet. Once that person returns, I assure you, all the remaining problems will be completely resolved, giving the universe, the earth, and all the departed souls an explanation."
Throughout his journey, Lynn has never broken his promise to anyone. He has long established absolute credibility in the hearts of everyone in SSC.
Even though the situation before them was absurd and bizarre, and even though they still felt resentful and confused, everyone chose to unconditionally trust his judgment.
After calming everyone down, Lynn waved his hand and said in a nonchalant tone, "You all go back first and maintain order. Tony, remember to contact me when the opportunity arises."
Tony didn't ask; he knew that what the riddle-maker didn't want to talk about was pointless to ask.
Steve, Tony, and their group exchanged a glance, asked no further questions, nodded in agreement, and turned to board the fighter jet.
The fighter jet roared to life, slowly ascended, broke through the atmosphere of the barren planet, and sped towards the distant Earth, quickly disappearing into the vast sea of stars.
In the end, only three people remained on the desolate wasteland.
Thanos quietly cultivating the land; Carol, who was trapped by the spatial barrier and unable to move; and Lynn stood still with a cold expression.
Lynn didn't look at the departing fighter jets again, nor did he care about Thanos working in the fields. His gaze fell directly on the imprisoned Carol Vers, and all peace vanished from his eyes, replaced by a deep sense of mockery.
"I've already been in a bad mood lately, and you just have to make it worse for me? Do you think that because you've maintained order in the universe for so many years, you feel superior to these people on Earth?"
Carol was tense all over, her golden light surging wildly as she desperately tried to break free of the spatial cage. Her eyes were filled with anger and resentment, but she was unable to break free and could only passively listen to Lynn's questioning.
"As a native Earthling, your roots will always be there. But what have you been doing for decades? Living a particularly carefree and glamorous life as a 'cosmic policeman' under the guise of protecting the universe?"
Lynn's words grew increasingly sharp, each one piercing to the heart, directly hitting Carol's most unwelcome weaknesses and mistakes.
"When Earth faced annihilation and was repeatedly on the verge of crisis, when it most needed a strong leader and your protection, you were always absent. From beginning to end, what did you leave your home planet with? Just a pager that could only send one-way distress calls and was practically useless?"
"Born on Earth, rooted in that land, do you feel that Earth is unworthy of you, or have you simply not thought about it at all? Would you rather guard the vast, unfamiliar universe than turn back and look at your homeland even once more?"
"You spend your whole life talking about how great and righteous you are, always glorifying yourself. But what you do is always something you talk about but never do. Others have With great power comes great responsibility, but for you, it's all about the bigger the words, the smaller the responsibility, is that it?"
"Do you think that as long as you have the biggest fist, no one can do anything to you? So you act without any scruples? So you live a carefree and unrestrained life, always putting yourself first, only caring about yourself, and ignoring everyone around you. Is this kind of life what makes you happy?"
"You pride yourself on being righteous, yet you were absent from Monica's entire childhood, and you didn't even care when Rambo passed away."
"You personally promised the Skrulls that you would help them find a new, habitable home and give them hope for the survival of their people. But you turned around and immediately forgot about it, spending your days busy with what you called 'more important things.' Do you think you bear no responsibility for promises made so easily?"
"You've lived your whole life in self-pity, living in the heroic persona you've created, always thinking you're upright and honorable."
Lynn's lips curled into a cold smile, delivering the cruelest and most blunt judgment.
"But you're not even as good as Thanos."
Upon hearing this, Carol's pupils contracted sharply, her face filled with disbelief.
Thanos was brutal and did nothing but wreak havoc on the universe. But his initial intention was to balance the universe, end the conflict, and save the remaining people. His starting point was righteous, though somewhat extreme.
Lynn's eyes grew colder, her tone utterly mocking. "And you? You never follow your heart, only your mouth. All your morality, responsibility, and promises are just a facade you wear to disguise yourself."
After venting his frustrations, Lynn felt much better. He leaned down, looked into Carol's eyes, and asked in a low voice, "So, are you still planning to continue? If you want to fight, we can go somewhere else. If you don't want to fight, go back to being your cosmic police and don't bother me here."
