Chapter Summaries

After JARVIS took control of the Hive, Ling Yi imprisoned the Red Queen and considered how to handle the coming outbreak in Raccoon City. He learned Umbrella planned to spread the T-virus and decided to warn the Ancient Country by livestreaming events in Raccoon City.

• Kaplan restored the Red Queen’s motherboard, but JARVIS took over her voice and sealed the Hive after Alice and the others left for the hospital passage.
• Ling Yi tried to persuade the Red Queen to share her core data, then had JARVIS lock her in a simulated data prison when she refused.
• Ling Yi told JARVIS to find a way to get Matt out and asked when the second film’s events would begin.
• JARVIS explained that Umbrella intended to use Raccoon City as a T-virus testing ground and that the outbreak would proceed even without Spence.

Matt used the microbots and headband Ling Yi sent him to defeat Umbrella mercenaries and escape, becoming Ling Yi’s new tool man. Meanwhile, Ling Yi considered giving away his remaining equipment and spent 50 experience points to raise his level to 2.

• L warned Matt that Umbrella mercenaries had tracked him down and left him a headband and a briefcase of microbots.

He sent Bahu and Xiaoniu to gather demons and treasures while he returned to Hundred Demon Valley, still avoiding Chentang Pass until he grew stronger.

• Ling Yi and Xiaoniu explored the forest outside Chentang Pass, where Ling Yi identified Bahu as an eight-hundred-year-old Body Integration Stage tiger demon.
