" Hermione, do you think it's possible that my parents aren't actually dead?" Harry and Hermione were already in position, chatting casually in the darkness. "We all thought Peter was dead, but he's actually still alive."
Hermione didn't know what to say. She gazed at the opposite shore of the Black Lake: "Yes, anything is possible."
But the Wizarding World isn't a fairy tale, Hermione thought. With spells so dangerous, and lives so fragile before them, could there really be so many possibilities?
Let's hope so.
Across the lake, silver light shimmered. Harry and Hermione crouched in the bushes, watching the original Hermione make her heroic entrance and save the original Harry and Ron.
"I've been practicing the Patronus Charm with the Time-Turner," Hermione explained, "Which is why I can conjure Patronus faster than you."
"No wonder you said you have forty-eight hours in a day," Harry suddenly realized.
"That's an exaggeration, but if you only spend two hours a day on this curse, then I really do twice as much as you."
Harry, outside of time, watched quietly from the other side of the Black Lake as he cast the Patronus Charm again and again, but he could no longer feel the sense of crisis he once had.
Perhaps the limitation of time lies in the fact that those involved are often blinded by their own perspective; when you look back, all the complicated and trivial matters seem so clear and simple.
In the darkness, the Patronus Charm was like a lantern. Harry hid in the shadows, watching the trio across the lake begin their work. He patted Hermione on the shoulder. " Hermione, we should go too. I was wondering why I felt like I was being watched; it was me."
Fearing they would be exposed, Harry and Hermione did not use Lumos, but instead relied on the moonlight and the reflections on the lake to make their way through the bushes.
They walked slowly, but that was alright, since Sirius and Peter were going to fight for a while longer anyway.
"Can we save Sirius here?" Harry had a sudden inspiration. "Or stop Snape?"
"No!" Hermione refused decisively. "You have no idea what the consequences of doing this would be, Harry. We could disappear from this world entirely."
Harry was somewhat surprised. "That dangerous? Professor McGonagall just gave that thing to you like that?"
"She knows I follow the rules. I wouldn't even let you know if it weren't for Dumbledore's permission." Hermione was proud of her tight-lipped nature.
The Patronus Charm on the other side of the lake flickered like a light, and Harry could hear his own heart-wrenching cries even across the Black Lake. His heart inexplicably raced, as if trying to resonate with his own despair.
A silvery mist enveloped their heads, and a dark mass of Dementor swirled around Harry and his friends like a tornado. Every now and then, a Dementor would leap out and take a bite of Harry's face, making Harry on the other side of the lake grimace in pain.
"Wait, it's about to take off its hood— Hermione, quickly find my parents, they must be hiding somewhere, just like us."
Harry stared intently at the Dementor ' movements, watching his exhausted self cast the final Patronus Charm and collapse to his knees on the Forbidden Forest grounds—he was about to fall, which meant the stag was coming.
One second, two seconds, three seconds...
"Why isn't it here yet?" Harry stood up anxiously. In his line of sight, the Dementor had already bent down, its face less than a foot away from Sirius.
"Dad, Mom, come quick!" Harry looked around anxiously, only to see the lake breeze blowing, the grass and trees like books, and the world seemed to gather in his eyes.
Yes—the moonlight spilled onto the lake's surface, and the nimble stag that trod across the lake had set off from his direction.
Only he himself could save him and Sirius.
Looking back on the dangers he faced over the past three academic years, although he always charged ahead and took the lead, he was never the one who ultimately defeated his opponents.
Admittedly, this is how a newly enrolled wizard should be. But he is different; he bears the title of the Chosen One —a title bestowed upon him by his parents, one he cannot escape or achieve.
He's a complete the Chosen One, always either being rescued or on his way to be rescued, even today. Lupin rescued him, Hermione rescued him... and he's still wondering why his parents haven't come to save him yet?
However, all the evidence suggests that the person who saved him and Sirius was none other than himself.
It was him.
That's Harry Potter, the great the Chosen One.
Harry's thoughts instantly cleared, and all his anxieties about not being able to keep up with the changes of the Magic Mobile Phone era, not being able to learn the Patronus Charm, and Professor Trelawney's Prophecy Voldemort's return vanished.
Who says he's not the main character?
He is the sole exception in the Wizarding World, the eternally bright coordinate in the current timeline.
With this thought in mind, Harry drew his wand, his chest surging with fighting spirit and confidence. The beautiful memories in his mind no longer flashed by like a revolving lantern, but gradually spread throughout all his experiences.
He smiled calmly, " Expecto Patronum!"
A silvery-white stag leaped gracefully down with his incantation; the magic within Harry flowed effortlessly, without the slightest resistance. He pointed his staff towards the opposite shore of the lake, flicked it gently, and the stag immediately galloped away, bathed in moonlight.
But Harry was still wondering: hadn't he seen two deer? Were there other people?
Hermione grabbed Harry's clothes and pulled him to the ground. The two of them tumbled awkwardly into the bushes, their robes covered in purplish-brown dirt. Harry was about to ask what happened when he saw a beam of light shining from the other side of the lake.
Who is it that's hiding at this time, almost getting discovered?
Hermione pressed down on Harry's shoulder, refusing to let him go any further. Through the bushes, the two could see Harry and Sirius on the other side of the lake, under the protection of the silver stag, with a glimmer of hope, but the Dementor were still baring their fangs and refusing to retreat.
A Patronus can ward off Dementor, but you need to move quickly while it's still active. Harry is far away on the other side of the lake, so he can only use the Patronus Charm for protection. Once the stag is gone, the Dementor will still swarm back.
Harry was tackled by Hermione and lost control of the spell; the silver stag's form gradually dimmed.
"And the other one?" Harry muttered to himself. "Who is it? Let me see your face."
As Harry prayed, the second doe finally arrived, its movements graceful and agile, its body several sizes larger than Harry's stag. It gently circled around Harry, Sirius, and the others, even affectionately nuzzling Harry's stag.
From a flash of silver light emerged a gaunt man with an unkempt appearance, a high nose bridge, and a knife-like face.
It's Snape.
"How could it be him?" Harry exclaimed in shock. "How could his Patronus be a doe?"
Hermione also felt a little regretful. She added, "He didn't let Peter go on purpose. Harry, Professor Snape came back to save us. We should have trusted him more."
Harry naturally agreed with this, but at this moment he was more curious about the question he had asked: Professor Snape's Patronus was a doe, so why had he never heard Professor Lupin mention it to him?
On the opposite shore, Snape looked at the lake with a puzzled expression. He didn't know where a Patronus had come from, but he didn't like stags.
He disliked the stag's forked, bloated antlers, its thick mane, and its ferocity and aggression. In contrast, he loved the doe's courage, kindness, compassion, intelligence, and gentleness far more.
The doe he summoned gracefully approached Snape, yet maintained a distance from which they could not touch.
Well, he also loved the doe's eyes, which held the world within them and were forever passionate and sincere.
