He definitely doesn't want you to be too tired.
Luna hit the nail on the head.
Hermione's face turned even redder.
Neville paused for a moment, then scratched his head and gave a sheepish smile.
Hannah covered her mouth and gently nudged Neville's arm. The two exchanged a glance, a youthful ambiguity swirling in their eyes. Neither spoke, yet they understood each other perfectly.
" Luna is so smart? She figured it out right away?"
Draco feigned surprise.
Luna said innocently, "It's obvious! When you look at Hermione, your eyes are more focused than when you look at Honeydukes candies. Isn't it normal to worry about her getting tired?"
Her cheeks flushed instantly, and she stubbornly muttered, "What? There's nothing there..."
"Oh... I see." Neville seemed to understand, while Hannah covered her mouth with her hand, trying hard to suppress her laughter.
Hermione, whose secret was exposed by Luna, suddenly lost much of her confidence in choosing five subjects.
"... It's not necessary to choose five subjects."
Hannah and Neville were secretly laughing nearby.
Hermione coughed lightly, then added, feigning composure:
"I... I'll think about it some more. I'll choose a maximum of three subjects... I can't really fill up all my time."
"Three doors it is, better than choosing five and exhausting myself," Draco compromised.
As he spoke, he slowly and methodically analyzed the situation for Hermione: "You really can't do Divination without talent."
"You actually believe in Divination?!" Hermione exclaimed in surprise.
Draco turned to look at her, a smile in his eyes, "Of course, otherwise how would I have predicted that you would become my future wife, and then win you over?"
Neville and Hannah exclaimed "Holy crap!" while Luna calmly and seriously said, "Hmm, this Divination is very accurate."
Hermione, who was called out, was so embarrassed that even her neck turned pink. She punched Draco's arm hard.
" Draco Malfoy! Shut up... You always have to throw in some weird stuff when we're getting serious!"
Hannah quietly leaned close to Luna and said, "Yes, Draco always manages to pinpoint Hermione's weak points."
"Because what he said was true, and the truth is the easiest thing to make people feel embarrassed," Luna replied.
Hermione's cheeks burned even hotter from their back-and-forth banter, and she glared fiercely at Draco.
Draco looked at her with an air of self-righteousness. "Isn't what I'm saying also serious business?"
"I can't be bothered to talk to you." Hermione was at her wit's end.
"Okay, okay, I won't say anymore."
Draco didn't say anything, but Luna picked up where he left off.
Hermione wasn't really angry; her face just turned red. That's how it is when she's shy.
Upon hearing this, Neville immediately looked at Hermione's face and saw a faint blush. He couldn't help but chuckle.
Hannah nodded and whispered to Luna, "They've always been like this; they clearly care about each other, but they always like to bicker."
"It's not a quarrel; Draco is just using this method to express what he wants to say." Luna saw it all very clearly.
"Did you hear that? Even Luna noticed." Draco reached out and touched Hermione's wrist.
Hermione's wrist went numb, and she jerked her hand back, quickening her pace. " Draco Malfoy! If you say another word, I'm going to walk away by myself."
Draco quickly stepped forward, grabbed Hermione's hand, and gently held it to prevent her from walking away in a huff. He lowered his voice and coaxed, "Alright, alright, stop it. Let's continue talking about the lesson."
He returned to the serious topic.
" Muggle Studies, there's no need to take this course. Nobody knows Muggle better than you."
The three behind them quickly caught up, and Neville nodded earnestly, "That's right, Hermione, choosing this really wasn't necessary. You should have learned something else."
"That's right, it's more meaningful to spend time on courses we haven't taken before," Hannah agreed.
After being talked to by several people in turn, Hermione's tense expression relaxed, but her palm, which was being held by Draco, felt a little hot. She responded softly:
"It seems... that's indeed the case. I was originally thinking of consolidating it, but now it seems unnecessary."
She didn't dare look up at Draco as she said this.
He then commented on the remaining subjects:
" Care of Magical Creatures is a good option. Although Hagrid's classes are sometimes reckless, they expose you to all sorts of magical creatures, are highly practical, and can broaden your horizons."
" Arithmancy is solid knowledge; it relies on numbers and formulas for calculation, which aligns with your logical thinking. You'll find it useful in the future, whether you're breaking spells or researching Magical Theory."
" Ancient Runes should also be chosen, as they form the basis for deciphering Ancient Magic texts and runes. Defense against Dark Magic, ancient spells, and self-created incantations may all rely on them."
After saying that, Draco immediately made the decision. "It's settled then. We'll choose Care of Fantastic Beasts, Arithmancy, and Ancient Runes. Those three are perfect."
"I learned useful knowledge while also having time to rest, which is much better than being overwhelmed with five courses."
" In the Care of Magical Creatures, you can see unicorn cubs; in Arithmancy, you can calculate the trajectory of stars; Ancient Runes, you can understand the language of trees."
Luna continued talking to herself.
Hermione's eyes lit up after hearing this, and a smile of approval appeared on her face, "It seems really suitable! These three subjects are all ones I'm interested in but haven't explored in depth."
"These three courses are all amazing! Care of Magical Creatures is so much fun, I'm planning to choose this one too, so we can take the classes together." Neville nodded with a smile.
" Hermione, you're so lucky to have Draco helping you with your analysis. I need to reconsider my course selections."
Hannah said with a look of envy.
Hermione's cheeks flushed slightly, and she gently tried to pull her hand away from Draco's, but couldn't.
She gave him a reproachful look, then smiled at Hannah, "That's all he's good for, always finding fault."
He complained, but the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly.
Draco squeezed Hermione's hand, then turned to Neville beside him and called out, "Hey Neville, you're being called on. Aren't you going to give him some advice?"
Neville panicked instantly, his face turning bright red to his ears. He frantically scratched the back of his head, stammering, "I... me? But I haven't even decided on my own course selections yet..."
As he spoke, his eyes unconsciously glanced at Hannah.
Hannah couldn't help but laugh at Neville's flustered state and came to his rescue, saying, "It's okay, just tell me what you think, I'll listen."
Hermione's eyes lit up with amusement as she looked at him, and she whispered, "Look at you, you scared him."
Neville blushed, then mustered his courage to retort, " Draco, which courses do you want to choose?"
"Of course..." Draco was about to speak when Hermione instantly sensed danger, fearing he might say something embarrassing.
So he interrupted very quickly.
"He's like me! He chose to Care of Fantastic Beasts, Arithmancy, and Ancient Runes!"
After saying that, she glared at Draco and warned in a low voice, "Don't say a word."
