She then gestured to the almost empty plate and said, "Can anyone really get full from this? I bet there are staff meals in the back of the kitchen that are much more substantial."
"That's possible!" Draco chuckled. "It's not all about food. For example, I can be satisfied with my demeanor."
"Then you can continue to rely on your elegance, I'll take care of finishing all this classy food." Hermione rolled her eyes at him, undermining his compliment, and then picked up her knife and fork to start working on the miniature steak.
As she spoke, she efficiently cut the pitifully small piece of steak, forked a piece, put it in her mouth, chewed, and swallowed.
The way they eat is nothing like those ladies who need to spend ages cutting things just to maintain an elegant demeanor; they don't worry about etiquette at all.
"Who was in the room just now, engrossed in reading poems about longing for love? And now they're so cold-hearted, only thinking about food?" Draco brought up the old story again, and started cutting his steak as he spoke.
"Could we please not bring up those... weird topics while we're eating?" Hermione's hand, which was cutting her steak, suddenly stopped.
"No," Draco complained. "Someone was just in the room complaining that I smelled weird."
As he spoke, he picked up a napkin, leaned forward naturally, pinched one corner of the napkin, and gently wiped Hermione's mouth, where a tiny bit of white cream sauce had accidentally gotten on it.
"What? Trying to be a pervert again?"
Hermione instinctively turned her head away, watching him warily.
"You had something on your lips, let me wipe it for you." Draco withdrew his hand, looking innocent. "It's gentlemanly behavior!"
"A gentleman?" Hermione snorted, picked up her water glass, took a sip to hide her slightly flushed cheeks, and retorted, "A gentleman wouldn't just wrap himself in a towel after a shower and wander around in front of others."
"That was for other people. How can that be considered indecent behavior towards my wife? At most, it's just marital fun," Draco said confidently.
"Shut your mouth, then you can eat in peace, right?" Hermione was speechless at his shameless argument, so she decisively grabbed a small round bread from the small basket next to her and quickly stuffed it into his still-smiling mouth.
Draco was truly speechless, his Adam's apple bobbing as he chewed. He swallowed, then mumbled a comment with a forced laugh, "Fierce as he may be, he's quite adept at feeding you."
Hermione ignored him, lest she be led astray again. She continued to focus on the food in front of her, but the corners of her mouth subtly curled upwards from an angle he couldn't see.
The candlelight flickered, illuminating her slightly flushed profile and the faint smile in her eyes. Outside the window lay the deep blue sea and starry sky, and across from her stood the man who always made her heart race, yet left her helpless.
Well, although the portion was a bit small and the presentation a bit lacking,
But... the taste is actually not bad.
More importantly, having dinner with him...
After the two finished eating, the waiter quietly removed the empty plates and replaced them with an exquisite raspberry mousse dessert, which was like a work of art, and topped with just the right amount of red berries and mint leaves.
Hermione picked up the small silver spoon, scooped out a piece, and put it in her mouth. The sweet and sour taste melted on her tongue. She squinted her eyes contentedly at the person opposite her, wanting to share this small pleasure.
Draco was looking at her, and he didn't say anything, but he opened his mouth and let out a drawn-out "ah".
Hermione: "..."
She was speechless, her cheeks instantly burning. She glanced around, thankfully no one was paying attention.
But Draco remained in the position of waiting to be fed.
"Don't you have hands?" Hermione asked, her hand holding the spoon frozen in mid-air. Luckily, the restaurant wasn't crowded, and the nearest customers were quite far away, so it seemed no one noticed them.
But... feeding each other in a public restaurant?
"My wife feeds me sweeter food," Draco said with a grin.
After hesitating for two seconds, Hermione quickly brought the spoonful of mousse she hadn't yet put to her own mouth to his lips, her movements as swift as a thief, her voice so low it was almost inaudible. "Just this one bite, no more pushing your luck."
The spoon was just brought to his lips when Draco opened his mouth and took it in. However, just as Hermione was about to pull the spoon back, he bit the edge of the silver spoon with his teeth and refused to let go.
"Let go!" Hermione whispered urgently.
As she spoke, she gently tugged at the spoon, but Draco held it firmly in his jaws and she couldn't budge it. She didn't dare use too much force, afraid of hitting his teeth, so she could only glare at him, both angry and embarrassed, her cheeks flushed, and warn him in a low voice:
" Draco —don't go too far!"
After she finished speaking, Draco relented, but at the same time, with a flick of his wrist and a gentle hook of his finger, he effortlessly snatched the small silver spoon from her hand.
"Your turn," Draco said, scooping out a spoonful of mousse and holding it to Hermione's lips.
Hermione froze, her face burning hot.
Feeding him was one thing, but being fed back by him so brazenly was a completely different matter. Hermione wanted nothing more than to crawl under the table. "Stop messing around... give it to me now!"
"You fed me just now, now I'll feed you, it's fair. Come on, open your mouth." Draco held the spoon to her lips, his face displaying a "I'm being very reasonable" expression.
Hermione nervously glanced around. Although no one was looking at her, she had a feeling that someone would be watching her at any moment.
After struggling for a few seconds, she remained steadfast in Draco's seemingly gentle yet actually firm stance, also fearing that he would continue holding it like that.
Finally, with a "quick and easy" mentality, Hermione quickly leaned over, gently picked up a spoonful of mousse with her teeth, then immediately sat up straight, turned her face away, and muttered under her breath, "... So childish."
"That's better!" Draco put down his spoon with satisfaction, but clearly, he wasn't going to stop there.
Then, to Hermione's astonishment,
Draco walked around the long table covered with a tablecloth, came to her side, pulled out the chair next to her, and sat down close to her.
The restaurant chairs were large, single armchairs. After Draco sat down, he placed his arm over the back of her chair, partially encircling her within his own space, and then picked up the small silver spoon...
This made Hermione tense up again; she could clearly feel the heat and presence emanating from Draco's body.
This made her glance around involuntarily. Although no one was paying attention, the overly intimate distance made her uneasy.
"Sit back down!" Hermione shoved him.
"Everyone's watching... What kind of behavior is this!"
"Hey, one more bite." Draco remained unmoved, offering her another spoonful of freshly scooped mousse.
"No, someone will see us..."
"It's dark here, no one will notice." Draco brought the spoon closer, almost touching her lips.
Seeing Hermione pursing her lips and refusing to open them, Draco leaned close to her ear and "threatened" her, "If you don't eat, I'll have to bite you!"
