A jealous heart that would not be soothed, a kiss that would not stop even after drawing blood
"I didn't!!" Draco was a little wronged, but Hermione's words hit the nail on the head, so this was the only explanation he could give her.
"I just finished cleaning her up and was about to get the hangover medicine when your Two-Way Mirror rang. I didn't even have time to get it!"
"Really?" Hermione gave him a cold glance, then snorted dismissively, "What a coincidence!"
These words left Draco silently groaning inwardly.
"Hurry up and get the medicine," Hermione ordered coldly.
"I'll take it!" Draco, as if granted a pardon.
First, they Scourgify the S.P.E.W. stain on the floor, making the room look less messy.
He then quickly pulled a small bottle of minty-scented potion from his pocket, walked to the bedside, and Hermione stood beside him, arms crossed, watching his every move.
Draco carefully lifted Diana's head, letting her rest it on his bent arm. Then, with his other hand, he held the vial, tilting it at a very slight angle to moisten her lips with the cool liquid, and fed her a small sip.
After giving her the medicine, he gently but quickly placed Diana's head back on the pillow, then immediately distanced himself from her.
"Oh, you're being quite gentle. Why don't you just give her a bottle of hangover cure and wake her up? That would save you the trouble of guarding her here." Hermione's tone was so sour it was almost sickening.
"Waking up now will only cause her more pain and force her to deal with all those unpleasant things. It's better to let her get some sleep and talk to her tomorrow. Besides, a large dose isn't good for Muggle's health."
Draco turned around and explained with a serious expression.
"Hmph!" Hermione wasn't buying it, her tone even more sarcastic. "You certainly know how to be chivalrous; you're really thoughtful."
Hearing this tone, Draco knew things were going to get bad. He quickly waved his hand, putting on a look of disgust and annoyance.
In an attempt to "clear his name," he said, "I call this chivalrous? I'm just afraid she'll cause trouble again, and I'll have to come back to deal with the mess. It's better to resolve it once and for all, and I can stay with you!"
After saying that, he moved closer to Hermione: "The food here doesn't taste good, and the environment is messy. Shall we go back first?"
"Let's go." Hermione nodded calmly.
"Good!" Draco breathed a sigh of relief and quickly stepped forward to hold Hermione's hand tightly again. This time she didn't struggle, but she didn't squeeze back either. He then used Apparition once more.
The two returned to the living room of their own suite.
Don't think I can't smell it.
As soon as Hermione landed, she said something that made Draco's heart skip a beat, and then she continued:
" Diana's scent is exactly the same as when you came back before—very faint, but there's no mistake."
"Last time at the casino, her husband lost money gambling, and she was desperate. I felt really sorry for her, so I thought I'd ask her to be my assistant temporarily, to explain the rules to me so I wouldn't place bets recklessly."
After explaining, Draco softened his tone and said,
"It's probably because we were standing a little close at that time, and it accidentally got on my skin, that's all, I really didn't do anything!"
"Oh, I see." Hermione drawled, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "First you were 'helping out' at the casino, and now you're 'taking care of me' tonight. Draco Malfoy, when did you become so 'helpful'?"
"I had no choice! She had an emotional breakdown tonight and was standing by the deck railing, almost jumping off the ship to commit suicide. I couldn't just stand by and do nothing, could I?" Draco tried to make amends.
"Oh, so far they've come to the point of jumping ship." Hermione's tone became even more sarcastic, and her eyes even colder. "Truly touching."
"Is young Master Young Master Malfoy addicted to rescuing damsels in distress? One rescue at the casino wasn't enough, now he wants to rescue her again on the deck? Is his next step to 'kindly' take her in since she's all alone, and then naturally 'repay him with his body'?"
Each word was like a needle pricking him, leaving Draco speechless and forced to admit defeat. "I was wrong."
"Is it alright if Miss Granger personally handles all of Ms. Diana's affairs from now on?"
"Sure, of course." Hermione wouldn't listen to a word.
"Since Young Master Malfoy is being so generous in letting go, how could I dare say no? It's just that I'm afraid that if you wait a while, you'll soften your heart and feel sorry for him, and you won't be able to resist running over to fawn over him. Don't come back to me begging for mercy then; I won't be soft-hearted."
Draco was exhausted; any further words would be meaningless, only escalating the argument and failing to alleviate her grievances.
So he simply stopped talking and, before Hermione could utter another sarcastic remark, he wrapped his arm around her slender waist and, with a slight effort, swiftly and neatly lifted her up in his arms.
" Malfoy, put me down!" Hermione was both shocked and angry, struggling with her hands and feet, pounding on his shoulders and chest.
Draco remained silent, letting her fists rain down on him. He carried her to the bedroom bed, bent down, gently placed her on it, and then pressed down on her, placing his hands on either side of her, creating a position that left her no chance to escape.
"You..." Hermione looked up, but before she could utter a question, Draco lowered his head and kissed her lips fiercely!
The kiss was filled with a sense of eagerness to prove himself, so intense it was almost violent. He pried open Hermione's teeth and plunged in, plundering all her possible resistance without giving her a chance to refuse.
This infuriated Hermione. How dare he try to gag her like this! She pressed her hands against his strong chest, desperately pushing him away, her legs kicking wildly.
However, the physical strength of men and women is vastly different, and Draco is determined not to let her break free, so her struggles are like an ant trying to shake a tree.
Unable to push him away, Hermione was both angry and anxious. A surge of fierceness welled up inside her, and she clenched her teeth, biting Draco's lower lip hard without any mercy.
"Hiss--!" Draco winced in pain, letting out a muffled groan, and the metallic taste of blood filled the air between their lips and teeth.
But instead of letting go of Hermione, he pulled her even tighter, as if trying to meld her into his own body.
The pressure on his lips softened, transforming from a brutal plunder into a soothing caress and licking, gently tracing the shape of her lips and swallowing all her sobs and resistance.
After taking the bite, Hermione was stunned.
The metallic taste of blood on her lips and Draco's muffled groan sent a shiver down her spine. Seeing his furrowed brow and bloodied lips, much of her anger and sharpness dissipated.
Her fierce struggles ceased involuntarily. Her eyes reddened, and she leaned on Draco's shoulder, breathing heavily. Her body was still trembling, but her aggressive demeanor had dissipated.
In the end, all that was left in my heart was grievance and heartache.
"Are you a dog? You've almost bitten it raw," Draco complained, touching his aching lower lip with a sigh.
