The two of them standing in the doorway didn't attract much attention. Draco said to Hermione, "Looks like some people got here first. Shall we wait?"
Seeing the two locked in a fierce battle, Hermione replied, "Let's wait and see; it doesn't look like it'll be over anytime soon."
Just then, the battle seemed to have entered a crucial point. The woman in the yellow dress made a beautiful slide step, rushed to the net, and faced her opponent's powerful baseline drive. She nimbly took a step, leaned her body slightly back, stretched her arm, and skillfully flicked her wrist to hit a beautiful net volley. The ball flew over the net with strong spin.
"Good shot!" cheers erupted from the sidelines.
The stroke was very fluid, and... quite eye-catching. The woman rose on her tiptoes, her body forming a graceful arc, her short skirt billowing upwards in a dangerous arc...
Upon landing, her body naturally crouched down to cushion the impact, which further accentuated the shapely curves of her buttocks beneath the tight tennis skirt.
The waves beneath the sports vest, caused by the intense running and jumping, rose and fell with each breath, creating an alluring undulation.
Hermione glanced instinctively at Draco beside her.
Draco's gaze did indeed fall on the field; he was watching the woman who had just delivered a spectacular strike.
But it wasn't the staring look Hermione had expected. Instead, she nodded, seemingly judging the spin and landing point of the volley, indicating her approval of its quality.
Then he naturally looked away, his gaze returning to Hermione's face, just in time to catch her quick, scrutinizing look.
"Hmm, good hitting technique, skillful wrist control," Draco said with a smirk. "However..." He paused.
His gaze swept over the woman on the field, lingering for a fraction of a second on her chest and the lines of her hips encased in her short skirt, before he added regretfully, "Perhaps the skirt is too tight, affecting the range of her lateral movements."
Just before Hermione was about to pinch him, he added, "Of course, when it comes to figure, I think my wife is better, especially her curves and the way she moves when she exerts herself. It's just a pity about those styles that accentuate her figure."
This comment not only critiqued the people on the field but also blatantly flirted with Hermione, ultimately diverting her attention.
As expected, Hermione's attention was drawn back to Draco's assessment of her, and her face flushed again. She glared at Draco, then lifted her foot and stomped on his pristine white tennis shoe without hesitation, grinding it into it forcefully.
"Hiss—" Draco feigned a grimace, but his arm quickly wrapped around Hermione's waist to prevent her from running away.
At the same time, he had to maintain a charming smile on his face, because people outside the arena were already looking in their direction.
"Are you going to talk or not?" Hermione spat out a threatening voice through gritted teeth, her hand stealthily touching the soft flesh of his waist.
"I won't say anymore," Draco immediately "admitted defeat," but his arm around her waist tightened, pulling her closer to him. "I was wrong. My wife looks best in anything, but not... cough, I mean, she looks best in white, the most standard, the most respectful to tennis history. Let's watch the game, let's watch the game."
"Hmph!" Hermione let him off the hook for the time being.
On the court, the match between the man and woman finally ended with a beautiful baseline cross-court shot. The man lost, having played too many games. He wiped his sweat, smiled, gave his opponent a high five, and then walked towards the rest area on the sidelines.
A female player was substituted in.
At this moment, Draco also took Hermione's hand and walked towards the rest area, intending to ask them how they took turns.
As they approached, and especially noticing Draco Hermione's striking appearance and demeanor, both the man and woman's eyes lit up.
One of the men, who looked to be around thirty years old, stood up and waved to them warmly.
"Hey! Hello! Are you here to play ball too?"
"Yes," Draco stopped, a polite social smile on his face, "I was originally planning to come with my wife for a bit, but seeing how much fun you guys are having, I thought I'd join in."
Although the two were indeed engaged, being introduced like this in front of unfamiliar Muggle still made Hermione's cheeks flush.
However, she did not refute it, but simply nodded politely in response to the man who greeted her, while subconsciously tightening her grip on Draco's hand slightly.
Noticing her subtle movements, Draco chuckled and asked the man, "Is it just a casual game, or is there a rotation system?"
Seeing the intimate gestures and interactions between Draco and Hermione, and Draco's natural use of the term "wife," the admiration in the eyes of the men and women dimmed somewhat.
"It's a rotation system. The loser goes off. You guys sit down first; standing is tiring." The man pointed to the empty chairs next to him.
"Thank you!" Draco and Hermione sat down.
"My name is Jack, and this is Tom," Jack said, pointing to his male companion and then to another man and two women. " Barty, Susan, Becky, and on the field are Mary and Kate." Those whose names were called smiled and nodded to Draco and his companion.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm Draco, and this is my wife Hermione." Draco smiled and nodded in response.
"Wow, your names are so lovely!" The young girl named Emily immediately complimented with a smile, her admiring gaze falling on Hermione. " Hermione, you look so beautiful in that white tennis dress, it suits you so well! Your hair looks so neat and tidy up."
Another woman named Mary smiled and nodded, "Yes, you two have such great style, you look so well-matched."
Hermione was a little embarrassed by their compliments, but she smiled and replied, "Thank you, your dresses are beautiful too, the colors are lovely, they'll definitely stand out on the field."
She was referring to Kate's bright yellow dress and the other woman's light pink tracksuit.
Your match looked very exciting.
A few simple pleasantries eased the atmosphere considerably.
"That's how it is," Jack quickly got to the point, explaining to the two, "Since there's only one venue and we have quite a few people, we set a rule: the loser goes down and the winner continues."
" Kate just beat Tom, so Kate continues, Mary goes next. The format is best two out of three, each game is played to a full six points. That's a fast pace, how about it? Want to line up?"
"Okay." Draco remained noncommittal, but still asked Hermione's opinion, "What does my wife think?"
"Okay..." Hermione was tempted to fight, but judging from the warm-up of the two players on the field, their skill level was quite high, and she was a little hesitant.
"That's settled then, you two will go behind Barty in line!"
After Jack finished speaking, Hermione grabbed Draco's arm and whispered in his ear, "I'm afraid I won't play well..."
"Teach me." As she spoke, she gently shook Draco's hand, her tone carrying a hint of coquetry and pleading.
