"You? Forget it. You're not as good-looking as Hermione, and as for brains... tsk, you're even worse than Hermione. How could I possibly be interested in you?" Draco launched into his sarcastic mode.
Upon hearing this, everyone burst into laughter...
Becky's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot; she was so angry she almost exploded on the spot, baring her teeth and claws as she lunged at Draco: "I'll strangle you! Can't you talk properly?!"
Unfortunately for Draco, he was prepared and nimbly dodged to the side, hiding behind Hermione while still shouting:
"Wife, protect me! She's going to hurt me!"
" Becky, Becky! Calm down!" Hermione was both amused and exasperated, but she still managed to stop the furious Becky.
Becky was blocked by Hermione and couldn't break through. She could only glare angrily at Draco through Hermione, her chest heaving violently.
Seeing Draco swaggering behind the mountain, Becky was furious. She turned to Hermione and said aggrievedly:
" Hermione, look what your man did to me! Waaah... He made me feel so worthless, you have to stand up for me!"
These two were driving Hermione crazy. She glared at Draco, then reassured Becky, "Alright, Becky, you should say less. I'll deal with Draco when we get back."
"Really? Hermione, you're going to help me get revenge? That's great! When we get back, you have to teach him a lesson! Let him know what happens when he bullies a girl!" Becky mouthed to Draco, who was hiding behind Hermione, that he was finished.
This woman changes her tune faster than turning the pages of a book. Just a moment ago she was crying and begging for forgiveness, and now she's trying to sow discord!
"No way, honey?" Draco peeked out from behind Hermione, looking aggrieved. "She started it..."
"What do you mean 'not'?" Hermione interrupted him, her face hardening. "Is that what a gentleman should say? If you say another word, I'll make sure you don't even get to sleep on the sofa."
Seeing Hermione's narrowed eyes, Draco wisely shut his mouth, only using his eyes to accuse Becky of her evil deeds.
Seeing this, Becky stuck her tongue out at Draco triumphantly.
Seeing that this farce was going on and on, Mary quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Alright, alright, let's all keep quiet."
"Let's tidy up and go eat. I heard the Chinese restaurant on the cruise ship is having a special menu today, shall we go try it?"
The mention of food immediately drew everyone's attention, with Susan chiming in, "Yes, Chinese food is delicious! The flavors are incredibly rich! They can make even the strangest ingredients taste amazing."
The mention of Chinese food immediately piqued everyone's interest.
Hearing everyone praising the Chinese food, Hermione was a little surprised, but then she understood. The Muggle world had frequent trade, and the people on this cruise ship were all rich and powerful, so it wasn't surprising that they could eat Chinese food. Compared to the relatively closed magical world, Muggle life was much richer and more diverse.
"Alright, see you at the restaurant then." Draco, too lazy to argue with Becky any further, said to everyone, "Let's go back and change our clothes and take a shower. We're all sweaty, it's not comfortable to eat like this."
Everyone agreed to the suggestion and prepared to leave.
As Becky was leaving, she turned back and gave Draco a sweet smile, then deliberately said in a coquettish voice, " Draco, remember to tidy yourself up when you get to the restaurant, don't be impolite."
This implies that he might get into trouble with Hermione when he gets back.
Draco was so angry at these sarcastic remarks that he immediately turned to Hermione and complained, "Honey, look at her! She was flirting with me even as she left! That woman is up to no good!"
Upon hearing this, Becky immediately turned her head, fearing that Hermione would kill her.
Watching the two of them bicker again, Hermione felt a throbbing pain in her temples, and she pinched Draco's waist.
"They're gone!"
"Ouch--" Draco cried out in pain, but to everyone's surprise, he suddenly bent down and scooped Hermione up in his arms.
Before Hermione could react, she gasped softly and was about to speak when Draco lowered his head and kissed her lips, silencing her. Hermione froze, her eyes wide with shock.
"Don't shout, the other players haven't all left yet. Do you want them all to gather around and watch?" Draco whispered in her ear.
This threat silenced Hermione; she simply glared at him fiercely and said, "Put me down right now!"
"I won't let go," Draco chuckled, tightening his grip on her. " Miss Granger, I advise you not to be so arrogant, because Young Master Malfoy has plenty of ways to deal with you."
"Hmph!" Hermione scoffed, then threatened, "It seems, Young Master Malfoy... you don't want the reward?"
"No, no, no, honey, I was wrong. I won't be arrogant anymore. I'll do whatever you say," Draco immediately pleaded.
Hermione smiled secretly to herself, a victorious expression on her face, thinking to herself, "Give me a little sweetness and I've got your weakness in my grasp."
"Hurry up and put me down!" she said.
"Honey, you must be tired after playing ball for so long. It's too hard for you to walk by yourself." Draco said with a grin, refusing to let go.
"That's true," Hermione said lazily, adopting a "young lady" air. "I'm tired from playing ball and don't want to walk. Since you're willing to do it, I'll carry you. But walk carefully, don't drop me."
Looking at her adorable face, Draco felt a surge of desire, but thinking of the reward, he dared not misbehave and could only obey. "Yes, ma'am! I guarantee I'll walk steadily and quickly."
As he spoke, he adjusted his posture to make Hermione more comfortable, and strode towards their presidential suite.
The two returned to the suite.
Naturally, there was a bit of arguing about whether to shower together or separately. Hermione blushed and firmly refused to shower together.
On one hand, she felt that giving too many sweet treats was not good, as it would easily embolden this guy. On the other hand, this guy had been too hot-tempered lately, and she dared not let the wolf into the house again.
Despite Draco's persistent pleading, cajoling, and repeated assurances, Hermione remained steadfast in her resolve.
In the end, Draco could only reluctantly take his change of clothes to the bathroom, glancing back at Hermione with a mournful look as he walked away, as if she were an irredeemable villain.
Hermione found it hilarious that he kept turning back to look at her.
In fact, Hermione was overthinking it. This kind of thing is like something addictive; it's hard to quit, let alone get tired of it.
After showering and changing into clean casual clothes, washing away their fatigue and sweat, the two headed to the restaurant together.
The other players have all arrived, except for these two. "Here you go! Draco, Hermione, come quick!"
The two sat down at their reserved table, Mary enthusiastically handed Hermione the menu, recommending several classic dishes.
After thanking her, Hermione picked up a little to taste; it was indeed quite good. Draco leaned over and asked, "Is it good?"
"Pretty good!" Hermione nodded.
Upon hearing this, Draco moved closer to her: "Ah--"
Everyone laughed; so that's where the trap was...
