"Go ahead and say it," Draco said calmly.
The man quickly looked around at the crowd that was following him closely. He stopped and looked embarrassed. "There are too many people here. Can we talk in private?"
"Alright." Draco, unsuspecting, followed the man with Becky. The crowd behind them was eager to join in and listen, but Draco's cold gaze deterred them.
Once they reached a quiet spot, making sure they were out of sight and earshot, the man said, "Sir, since you're so capable, could you secretly tell me which odd number to bet on for the next round of roulette? If you win, we'll split the winnings!"
Becky listened in stunned silence. How could she not have thought of that? This was practically a brilliant way to get something for nothing!
"Sure, no problem," Draco agreed.
"Really? Which one do you think you should bet on?" The man was overjoyed and quickly moved closer, waiting for Draco to say the number.
At this moment, Draco casually pushed him aside, glanced at the slowly spinning spare roulette wheel, and said, "Just bet on 0."
"Thank you so much, sir! I'll go right away, and if I win, I'll definitely come back to claim my share!" The man believed him without a doubt.
He hurriedly bowed to Draco to express his gratitude, then rushed towards the roulette table.
The gamblers were completely bewildered, not knowing what the man had whispered to Draco, only seeing him run off in ecstasy.
Only a few quick-witted people noticed something was wrong. Seeing the man rushing towards the roulette area, they immediately realized what was going on and hurried after him to see which number he was going to bet on, hoping to take advantage of the situation.
Becky was also envious; she had never won with such high odds before. How could she miss such a golden opportunity?
Thinking this, Becky was about to rush forward, but before she could take a step, Draco grabbed her arm.
"Why are you pulling me! I want to place my bet too!" Becky turned around and glared at him anxiously, struggling to move forward.
This shout made the remaining gamblers realize what was happening, and they rushed to the roulette area one after another, none of them wanting to miss this possible chance to make a fortune, even if it was just a sip of soup!
"Why are you getting involved?" Draco gripped her arm tightly, explaining, "You're with me. If you go and place bets too, the dealer will implement risk control measures."
"Ah... I see. What a pity. They've missed a chance to make a fortune." Becky's excited expression froze instantly, and her forward-struggling movements stopped immediately.
After figuring it out, she stopped insisting on going over to place her bets. She just stared longingly at the scene, like a kitten watching its dried fish being snatched away.
"Stop thinking about it," Draco said, taking the opportunity to tug at Becky's cheek. "Let's go try something new."
It has a soft, smooth, and delicate texture, and feels nice to the touch.
Caught off guard by the sudden tug on her cheek, Becky blushed and slapped his hand away in embarrassment and annoyance, scolding, "What are you doing!"
"Fulfilling the agreement, huh? You just lost to me, and you've already forgotten?" Draco chuckled and withdrew his hand.
"I... I didn't forget!" Becky stammered. "Wasn't this keeping our promise? Wasn't it supposed to be three seconds?"
"Oh? So Waiter Becky thinks that last one didn't count? Then let's reset the timer and properly fulfill our three-second agreement?" Draco said, making a gesture as if to reach out again.
"No need!" Becky shrank back in fright, covering her face with her hands. "You've already fulfilled your promise, we're even!"
"Alright then." Draco, seeing her embarrassed expression, stopped teasing her. "Let's go, I'll take you somewhere else to play."
Becky breathed a sigh of relief, patted her still-burning cheeks, and quickly followed. After a couple of steps, she asked again, "Where are we going?"
"Let's play blackjack," Draco, walking toward the blackjack table on the other side of the casino. The atmosphere there was quieter than in the roulette area, with gamblers sitting around the table, focused on the game.
"Blackjack?" Becky looked at him skeptically. "You know how to play that? Roulette is all about luck, but blackjack requires card counting."
"Can't I play if I don't know how? I'm here to spend money, not to take an exam. I just want to have some fun."
"I don't believe you!" Becky curled her lip. "Didn't you pretend you didn't know how to play roulette back then? And what happened? You won every single time, even attracting the casino manager's attention, and he was put under control."
"Hey, waiter Becky isn't that stupid after all."
"You're the stupid one!" Becky pouted. "I'm not stupid, I just can't be bothered to argue with you!"
She took two steps forward, leaving Draco with only his sullen back, and muttered under her breath, "All he does is bully people, taking advantage of his strength to play tricks on them..."
Hearing her childish complaints, Draco's lips curved upwards even further. He didn't say anything more, but simply followed half a step behind her at a leisurely pace.
The two walked side by side toward the blackjack table, surrounded by the noise of the casino, bathed in sunlight, creating a remarkably relaxed atmosphere.
Becky, harboring doubts all the way, slowed her pace to match Draco's before reaching the gambling table and asked:
"How do you manage to win every single roulette wheel game? Even with good luck, it's impossible to be this lucky."
Then, he leaned closer mysteriously and asked, "Do you have some secret? Did you calculate where the ball will land?"
"Luck," Draco added.
"You're lying!" Becky immediately exposed him. "I don't believe you. You must have another way, but you just won't tell me!"
"Then I'll tell you the truth, but you have to keep it a secret," Draco whispered mysteriously in her ear.
"Mmm-hmm!" Becky nodded vigorously.
"Actually," Draco lowered his voice even further, "I can predict the trajectory of the roulette ball."
Becky: "..."
"You're kidding me!" Becky rolled her eyes and said irritably, "Predicting trajectories? Why don't you just say you can do magic tricks? Who would believe that? You can't even come up with something plausible."
Seeing Becky's " you'd be a fool to believe that" expression, Draco just smiled. Sometimes, telling the truth doesn't always get you believed.
He possesses an Ancient Magic perception. Although he cannot predict with absolute precision, his keen perception of factors such as the rotation of the roulette wheel, the speed of the ball, and inertia allows him to predict the approximate landing area of the ball to a great extent.
Combined with imperceptible airflow manipulation magic, applying force to the ball at the last moment ensures it lands precisely in the desired numbered square... isn't that winning every time?
Of course, he wouldn't tell Becky any of this.
"Let's go," Draco stopped laughing, "Let's try blackjack and see if my luck still holds."
Becky didn't press the matter further. She had figured out that this guy never told the truth, so asking him was pointless. However, she did feel a bit excited about the blackjack game they were going to play next.
Will this guy pull off another amazing feat?
