Draco glanced at his watch and said:
"Going back so early? There are still plenty of fun things to do at the casino. Don't you want to stay a little longer?"
"No, thank you." Becky waved her hand and said, "I'm just playing around to pass the time. These things are addictive if you play too much, so knowing when to stop is the smartest thing to do."
"I didn't realize you were so young, yet you're more clear-headed than many people who frequent casinos. That kind of composure is rare."
Becky smiled and said, "I'm just here on vacation, there's no need to take these stakes so seriously, having fun is enough."
"I'll be going now! Be careful while you're at it, don't get too carried away, and remember to quit while you're ahead!" Becky prepared to leave.
"Thank you for your advice," Draco replied with a smile.
After taking two steps forward, Becky stopped, turned around, and extended her hand, her eyes bright. "Oh right, we've been playing together for so long, but we haven't formally introduced ourselves yet. My name is Becky."
" Collard." Draco shook hands with him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Collard," Becky said warmly. "I'm usually quite free during the day, mostly playing tennis on the top deck of the cruise ship. If you're interested in tennis, feel free to come find me anytime and we can play together."
"Okay." Draco released his grip.
But deep down, he thought: I'm afraid it's impossible.
He only transforms into Collard at the casino.
Once he leaves here, he will turn back into Draco.
"I'm off then! Goodbye, Collard!" Becky waved and blended into the crowd, quickly disappearing from the casino.
After Becky left, Draco looked away, the smile fading from his lips. He decided to go play some Texas Hold'em.
Finally, Draco's gaze settled on a relatively quiet Texas Hold'em table at the edge of the hall. Four players were seated at the table; a standard table typically requires six to ten players.
There were two seats missing at this table, so Draco walked straight over, pulled out an empty chair, and sat down.
To my left sat a well-dressed, wealthy middle-aged woman, adorned with jewels, while to my right sat a stern-faced middle-aged man.
In the remaining seats at the card table sat a trendy young man dressed in fashionable clothes and a portly fat man. Around the table, a circle of gamblers watched the excitement, whispering among themselves and waiting for the game to begin.
"We're still one person short!" the middle-aged fat man said impatiently, exhaling a smoke ring. "I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait."
"That's right!" the well-off middle-aged woman nodded in agreement, complaining, "The casino doesn't even make any arrangements. It's such a waste of time just waiting. If no one comes soon, I'm going to play something else."
As she spoke, she raised the jade bracelet on her wrist to take a look.
Seeing the impatience on everyone's faces, the dealer stepped forward and called out to the crowd on the periphery:
"Ladies and gentlemen, excuse me, this game of Texas Hold'em is just one player short to start. The maximum bet is 2000 chips, which is quite low. Are there any guests who would like to join us? Please feel free to take a seat anytime, and we'll start as soon as everyone is present."
As soon as the words were spoken, the crowd on the periphery stirred slightly, but most remained silent. Some hesitated, touching the chips in their pockets, but ultimately shook their heads.
Some people just wanted to watch the spectacle, so they stepped back and showed no intention of coming forward. For a moment, no one stepped forward to sit down.
At this moment, Draco took out a high-denomination chip worth 10,000 with a gold-plated logo from his chip holder and casually rubbed it.
This move attracted attention both inside and outside the table; anyone using such chips simply had too much money to handle.
Just then, a graceful figure, wearing high heels, slowly walked towards them, holding a glass of champagne in her hand, her steps unhurried as she approached Draco's side.
As she drew nearer, an alluring scent of rose perfume wafted towards Draco's nose before she even arrived.
The woman stopped beside Draco, leaning slightly forward to reveal a glimpse of her snow-white cleavage and her exquisitely made-up face, adorned with smoky eyeshadow and exuding captivating charm.
The moment she appeared, she attracted the attention of everyone at the table and under the table. Her red lips parted slightly, and her voice was soft and melodious, "Sir, you look unfamiliar. Is this your first time here?"
The woman's voice was like it was soaked in honey, so sweet it was cloying.
Draco turned his head, and the woman continued, "My name is Ginger. I frequent Las Vegas. May I ask your name, sir?"
As she spoke, her eyes, like tiny hooks, stared intently at Draco, their gaze shifting and sparkling.
Their posture was as intimate as that of old acquaintances, yet they maintained a subtle sense of propriety so as not to immediately offend anyone.
Upon hearing this, Draco glanced at Ginger. She was wearing a shimmering white halter-neck sequined dress; the tight-fitting cut accentuated her curvaceous figure, and the sequins sparkled and dazzled with her movements under the lights.
Her long, wavy golden hair cascaded lazily over her shoulders, and her outfit was extremely alluring, though her delicate charm seemed a little forced.
His gaze lingered on her face for less than two seconds before Draco asked, puzzled, "Who are you?"
These words caused Ginger's charming smile to freeze instantly, and a hint of astonishment flashed across her captivating eyes.
What is her role in the casino on this cruise ship?
She was recognized as the top beauty in the casino, Canary pampered by a group of wealthy VIPs. Many tycoons, business magnates, and even senior executives on the cruise ship would go to great lengths to curry favor with her, just to win a smile from her.
Wherever she goes, she is the center of attention, always the center of attention. She is the only one who is indifferent to others; no one else would treat her with such a cold tone as Draco.
Seeing this, the plump middle-aged woman made no attempt to hide her contemptuous snort, and frowned in disgust, saying:
"Practicing such affected poses, doesn't she know the occasion?"
Clearly, she looked down on people like Ginger, who used their looks to seduce men.
The stern-faced middle-aged man at the next table, perhaps sensing the awkward atmosphere, coughed and tried to smooth things over. "Sir, this is none other than Miss Ginger, a very famous celebrity in our casino!"
"That's right!" The middle-aged fat man also realized what was happening.
The fat man, cigar in his mouth and puffing out smoke, scanned Ginger over with his eyes, then flattered him:
"In the casino, who doesn't know Miss Ginger? Not only is she beautiful, but her card skills are amazing!" He gave a thumbs up.
"Besides that, she's the star attraction here, nicknamed 'Canary'! So many people want to invite her for a drink or a game! It's an honor for our table that Miss Ginger is here today!"
The man spoke with great enthusiasm, spittle flying everywhere.
Even the older women avoided Draco with disdain.
