"Then I won't disturb your enjoyment any longer. I hope you all have a good time." Sam said before leaving the VIP box.
"Sir, this is a private game for VIPs only. The rules are slightly different from the main hall. There are no blinds, and there is no limit to the number of bets per game. You can play as you like," the dealer explained to Draco.
Draco nodded to indicate that he understood, then took out 24 large chips worth 10,000 each and 4 smaller chips worth 8,000 each from his pocket and placed them on the table mat in front of him.
This move drew attention from the others present, but they did not underestimate Draco because of his chips. Those who could enter this VIP box were never judged by the amount of chips they had; here, courage and luck were the real currency.
Seeing that no one had any objections, the dealer confirmed again. "Ladies and gentlemen, if there are no further questions, we will begin immediately."
After everyone nodded in agreement, the dealer shuffled the cards, cut the deck, and then dealt two hole cards to each of the five players.
After the cards were dealt, everyone lowered their heads and carefully picked up the corners of their cards to examine their hands. Only Draco did not touch the cards on the table. He leaned back lazily in his chair, gazing indifferently at the center of the table, as if the game had nothing to do with him.
This scene stunned the four people at the table and Ginger, who was standing nearby. They had been in the gambling world for many years and had seen people bluff wildly with strong hands and people go all-in with good cards, but they had never seen anyone not even glance at their hole cards at the start of the game.
Such behavior is truly unprecedented.
"Hey!" the young master immediately shouted at Draco, "Aren't you going to check how we're going to place our bets? We can't just gamble blindly!"
"No need to watch, the fun is in the thrill."
Draco's words fell softly, and the quiet VIP card table fell even more silent. The expressions of everyone present changed.
Ginger's beautiful eyes widened in disbelief. Not looking at the cards? What kind of tactic was this? She had followed many big fish and seen all sorts of gambling methods, but she had never seen anything this crazy before.
However, those who could sit here were not ordinary people. After a brief moment of shock and silence, no one was willing to be outdone in terms of momentum and become a laughing stock.
"In that case, I'll start by throwing out a few chips. Five thousand." The gentleman's female companion pushed out five chips of one thousand each.
"Call back." The middle-aged man said nothing more.
"Interesting," the young master teased. "Not looking at your cards, huh? Fine, I'll play something exciting with you. Let's raise the bet to 25,000."
As he spoke, the young master personally pushed the 20,000 chips onto the table with great force.
They seemed determined to win.
"Call!" The wealthy woman also pushed in 20,000 chips.
When it was Draco's turn, he still didn't look at his hole cards, but simply turned his head to look at Ginger and said, "Raise forty-eight thousand."
Upon hearing this, Ginger dared not delay in the slightest. He quickly stepped forward and, as instructed, pushed 48,000 chips into the pot.
Silence fell over the card table.
For several seconds, no one spoke. The old gentleman sized up Draco, and considering that he only had a mediocre hand, there was no need to take the risk, so he decisively folded.
The middle-aged man hesitated repeatedly, ultimately unable to fathom Draco's true nature and unwilling to rashly follow suit, so he folded.
Faced with immense psychological pressure and an unpredictable opponent, the young master spat out a curse, slammed his cards onto the table in extreme resentment, and chose to fold.
The magnitude of his movements revealed his extreme inner turmoil.
Finally, the lady shook her head and also chose to fold.
The cards were decent, but not good enough to challenge a crazy player who didn't even look at his cards. As a result, the poker table fell into a deathly silence once again.
Just because Draco raised for 48,000 and acted recklessly without looking at his hole cards, the other four players at the table folded before the community cards were even dealt, from the moment the hole cards were dealt until the end of the first round of betting!
Without shedding a drop of blood, Draco secured a substantial chip pot simply through sheer force of will and psychological dominance.
"Then I'm sorry, but let's take the chips." Draco said to Ginger was still in a state of shock behind him.
"You... won?" Ginger snapped back to reality, staring at the pile of chips on the table, she could hardly believe her eyes.
Without looking at the cards or playing any game, just a single sentence and a single gesture were enough to scare away all the gamblers at the table?
What... what kind of divine power is this? She had previously thought Draco was just rich, or perhaps had some special methods.
But now, she was completely convinced. This wasn't luck; it was absolute skill, a skill that transcended card game techniques, a precise and ruthless control over people's hearts and human nature!
Suppressing his excitement, Ginger quickly organized all the chips on the table and neatly placed them back in front of Draco.
While stacking the items, he couldn't help but steal glances at the composed Draco beside him, only to find the man's expression remained calm throughout.
After finishing tidying up, Ginger reported softly:
"Sir, please keep them all."
Just then, the rich young master suddenly shouted, "Wait a minute! Everyone's folded, you have to show your hand, right? We should at least understand why we're losing!"
These words expressed the sentiments of the other three people present.
The elderly gentleman and the middle-aged man nodded in agreement. The elderly gentleman said, "Sir, that's the rule. If you win, show your cards so we can see your hand."
"Yes, yes, that's the rule. We all want to see it!" the noblewoman chimed in curiously.
All eyes were focused on the two face-down cards in front of Draco. Draco didn't refuse, but simply whispered to Ginger, "Turn them over."
Upon hearing this, Ginger stepped forward and gently flipped over the two hole cards in front of Draco, displaying them to everyone. There was a 2 of diamonds and a 10 of clubs, an extremely bad hand. It was not even a basic hand, let alone a winning hand.
"2 of diamonds... 10 of clubs?"
The young master was the first to cry out in shock.
"You got such bad cards?" Draco said, feigning surprise.
These words were like a knife, stabbing deeply into everyone's heart. It wasn't just bad; it was utter garbage!
Despite having such a terrible hand, all four of them surrendered before the cards were even flipped, handing the game over without a fight.
The young master wanted to curse, wanted to overturn the table, but his remaining rationality and the rules of the VIP room made him hold back. In the end, he could only squeeze out a sentence through gritted teeth. "You win!"
"Let's start the next round," Draco said calmly, breaking the stagnant atmosphere and bringing the dazed dealer back to his senses.
The dealer quickly collected the discarded cards from the previous round, collected the cards, shuffled them, and cut the deck. In no time, he methodically dealt a new set of cards to the five people present. Two cards were placed face down in front of each person on the table, and the atmosphere quietly became tense.
