Just then, something flew into the air from directly in front of the car with a bang. The woman in the driver's seat reacted quickly, swerving the steering wheel to avoid it, but the out-of-control car headed straight for Draco and his two companions who had just landed!
"Damn it..." Trillian's pupils contracted, and she cursed.
The man and woman inside the car were equally terrified. The woman jerked the steering wheel again, and just as they were about to hit someone—
The three figures vanished into thin air.
The woman quickly straightened the steering wheel, adjusted the driving trajectory, and continued speeding forward. The man in the passenger seat swallowed hard, his voice trembling, "It's a ghost..."
The woman didn't respond; she simply locked the accelerator.
At that moment, Draco and his two companions appeared in the tower above them. They stood high up, looking down at the car below. Draco's gaze followed the car below.
The manhole cover, which had been blown into the air, traced an arc in the sky before falling to the ground. Below, several agile wolf figures leaped out of the sewer manhole one after another.
The Werewolf leader glanced up and let out a short howl, and the other Werewolf quickly dodged to the sides.
The manhole cover tumbled through the air a few times before hitting Werewolf squarely on the head. The Werewolf staggered, wincing in pain, clutching its head and rubbing its hair, emitting a series of whimpers that sounded like curses.
Hermione and the other girl burst out laughing. If the unlucky Werewolf had stayed still, he might not have been hit.
The leader Werewolf had no time to pay attention. He glanced back and roared again. The Werewolf who had been hit and his companion understood, turned around, and ran back, disappearing into the dark alley. The leader Werewolf, along with the remaining Werewolf, chased after the car in the direction it had disappeared.
Draco disappeared again with the two women.
Inside the car, the man couldn't help but ask:
Who are you?
The woman didn't answer his question. She glanced at the dark figure relentlessly pursuing them in the rearview mirror and asked the man a question in return:
Why did those Werewolf chase you like mad dogs?
"Big sister!" the man exclaimed speechlessly, "You're asking me?! I've been inexplicably followed, and as soon as I got home, you showed up at my door and interrogated me. Now I'm being chased by monsters and I'm almost dead. I'm more interested in knowing why than you are."
"You'd better tell the truth. These Werewolf don't hunt ordinary humans for no reason. If you continue to deliberately conceal it, I won't help you escape next time you're surrounded." The woman's tone remained cold, with a hint of warning in her words.
"I really don't know! Besides—the gun is in my hand, shouldn't you be the one being questioned?" The man deliberately toyed with the two guns in his hands, trying to regain some control.
Upon hearing this, the woman's eyes darkened. She glanced at him sideways, a fierce glint flashing in her eyes, filled with murderous intent. "Are you sure?"
The man in the passenger seat froze, his hand on the gun stopped, a chill ran down his spine, and a sense of crisis rose in his heart.
Just as the two were locked in a stalemate, a voice suddenly came from the back seat. "Stop arguing, listen to me first."
Both of them were startled and turned around abruptly to look behind them.
When the woman saw Draco and his two companions suddenly appear in the back seat, she leaned back, turned slightly, and silently reached her right hand towards her outer thigh, touching the concealed silver dagger. She frowned and said, "It's you again?!"
"When did you get on the bus?! The bus didn't stop, and the doors didn't open." The man was terrified; he asked in horror.
Driven by extreme fear, he almost instinctively raised his arm, the dark muzzle of the gun pointing straight at Draco and the other two who had suddenly appeared in the back seat, his finger gripping the trigger tightly, ready to fire at any moment.
But just as the gun barrel locked onto Draco—
A bizarre scene suddenly unfolded!
The gun in his hand began to twist, shrink, and reshape itself.
Under his visible gaze, the metal softened and Transfiguration like wax melted by high temperature. The barrel, grip, and trigger disappeared completely within seconds, turning into a cloud of fine metal fragments that drifted silently into the night wind through the gaps in the car window.
The man in the passenger seat stood frozen, his empty hand raised, mouth agape. Draco ignored the stunned man and instead leaned forward, crossing the gap between the two rows of seats, to approach the woman in the driver's seat.
The woman's nerves tensed instantly. Her hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, and her sharp, cold gaze swept over Draco, who was leaning forward. A murderous intent surged in her eyes, and her entire body tensed, ready to retaliate at any moment.
Before the woman could retaliate, Draco had already reached out, placed his hand on the steering wheel, and pulled hard, straightening the car which had veered off course. Draco chuckled, "Don't be nervous, drive carefully. We're in the car too."
In that brief moment of distraction, when the woman turned around, the car had already veered far off the main road, its front end hurtling straight toward the brick wall beside her! The collision was only two or three meters away; there was simply no time to avoid it completely.
The woman's expression changed, and she tightened her grip on the steering wheel, turning it sharply to its full extent. The screeching sound of tires rubbing against the road echoed through the quiet street, and the car tilted violently, seemingly about to overturn at any moment.
The man in the passenger seat was startled for the second time, letting out a suppressed gasp. He frantically grabbed the seat back with both hands. Hermione and Trillian in the back seat had already tacitly gripped the armrests on both sides, their bodies pressed tightly against the seats as the car tilted.
Just as the car was about to crash into the wall, Draco looked at the building ahead and silently activated his Transfiguration. In an instant, the brick wall underwent a dramatic magical transformation.
The wall seemed to writhe like a living thing, creating a gently sloping buffer ramp that conformed to the curve of the car body. The car followed the ramp, with half of its body suspended in the air and tilted precariously, sliding down the building's slope before regaining a stable ride.
The man sighed in relief, slumping into his seat, a layer of cold sweat beading on his forehead. The woman, glancing deeply at Draco in the back seat through the rearview mirror, was certain—
The man before me is definitely a wizard.
Just as the woman confirmed Draco's identity, Draco, seeing her probing gaze in the rearview mirror, spoke calmly:
" Selene, right?" Without waiting for Selene's response, Draco gave her the address of the villa and told her to drive there.
"What exactly do you want?" Selene asked.
The man in the passenger seat, recovering from his initial shock, also protested, saying, "We have no reason to go to a private villa with you. If we have something to discuss, we can find any roadside café; a private residence doesn't feel right."
"You can park if you don't want to," Draco said casually.
These words surprised the two people in the car.
