Lucian and Raze quickly gave chase, their bodies rapidly expanding and Transfiguration into Werewolf as they ran, their powerful hind legs touching the ground. They continued to fire at the woman as they pursued her.
Draco and Trillian also teleported up, witnessing the entire hunt unfold before them. Trillian exclaimed in amazement:
"Young master, is this the secret weapon that ' Lao Hei ' mentioned for dealing with vampires? This thing is really powerful."
Draco nodded, his gaze falling on the Werewolf charging below. "No wonder they're so confident, daring to go toe-to-toe with vampires; it turns out they possess a weapon that counters their opponent."
"However," Trillian changed the subject, looking at the fleeing female vampire, "This woman is truly strong. An ordinary vampire would have been burned to ashes long ago after taking so many special bullets, but she only suffered localized festering sores, and her speed didn't decrease at all. Even her Werewolf form couldn't catch up with her."
"A private train, plus so many top-notch bodyguards protecting her—this woman's identity is definitely not simple; she must be a high-ranking figure in the vampire faction," Draco guessed.
Upon hearing this, Trillian had a new question:
"Young Master, you promised to help them eliminate the vampire leaders, so why are these people still coming to ambush us? Judging from the battle just now, the Werewolf suffered considerable losses as well."
"This matter is most likely related to Michael."
Draco makes the inference,
" The Werewolf are probably secretly researching something shady, just like we urgently need to obtain the genes of new Werewolf. They're also seeking a breakthrough. Judging from Lao Hei's confident demeanor just now, once their research yields results, they might not need our help at all."
"It's alright," Trillian smiled nonchalantly. "Helping them is just a side thing. Even if they can defeat vampires, I believe they will still support your work, young master."
"You're the one who knows how to use your privileges," Draco chuckled.
"Young master, I am your front man."
"You play the bad cop and become a legend; I'll play the good cop and do the things you can't do yourself."
"That won't do!" Draco waved his hand, speaking righteously and firmly, "I never use privileges; I'm merely exercising the legal authority granted to me by the people. Don't try to pin this on me."
"Yes, yes, it's my fault, young master is right."
"Other privileged classes may act that way, but under the wise leadership of your great Miss Granger, I will absolutely not abuse my power. At most... I'll just occasionally make things a little easier for myself," Draco added.
"I understand." Trillian blinked knowingly.
Draco emphasized with a hint of helplessness:
I'm telling the truth.
"Young Master never lies," Trillian replied, then posed a hypothetical question, "Young Master, what if Lucian doesn't agree to take the Werewolf away? What will you do then?"
"Perhaps we could try a little bribery," Draco said. "I believe there are always Werewolf who can't resist that temptation..."
"Indeed, no one would refuse something that's profitable," Trillian analyzed, following Draco's words. "But what if the other party is truly a stubborn person who won't be tempted by profit?"
"Who's the young master, you or me?" Draco turned to look at her, asking in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Hehe, young master, you've given yourself away, haven't you?" Trillian laughed mischievously. "Wouldn't you call this an abuse of privilege?"
"Fine," Draco said helplessly, spreading his hands in admission, "If you insist that I admit it myself, I can only say: if you won't listen to reason, then I'll have to resort to force."
"Actually, young master, you are already the most conscientious person in power," Trillian said with a hint of approval. "You would never use your privileges to oppress anyone unless absolutely necessary."
"That's right, young master, I don't have the bad taste to make things difficult for people," Draco explained nonchalantly. "Of course, sometimes, gentle methods don't work, and the wicked need the wicked to deal with them."
Compared to the intense chase between the Werewolf and vampires below, Draco and Trillian, following behind, appeared rather relaxed.
Lucian and Raze had run out of bullets, so they casually discarded their guns and continued the chase, relying on the Werewolf's stamina.
The woman had been hit by no fewer than ten silver bullets, but her strong will to survive still kept her running forward.
Soon, the outline of a vast manor came into view.
Lucian and Raze's expressions changed drastically. They knew that if they continued chasing, they would be entering the vigilance zone of the vampire stronghold. Not daring to be careless, they decisively stopped and transformed back into human form.
At that moment, Draco and Trillian appeared silently behind them as if by teleportation. Lucian turned around, humbled himself, and pleaded, " Mr. Malfoy, I hope you can take care of that woman."
"Now you know to ask for help? Where were you before?" Trillian crossed her arms, her tone laced with mockery.
Raze panicked. "Didn't you promise to help us eliminate the vampire's high-ranking members and Victor? That woman is Amelia, one of the three vampire elders!"
Faced with Raze's questioning, Draco kept his eyes fixed on the figure rushing towards the manor and calmly said, "Who she is is not important. What's important is who we choose to eliminate. As for whether or not to get rid of Amelia, we'll make our own judgment later."
By this time, Amelia had reached the edge of the vampire's perimeter. She glanced back and saw Lucian and Raze standing some distance away, and breathed a slight sigh of relief. But she still dared not slow down. As she continued to run toward the manor, she let out a sharp, long howl to alert the guards inside the manor—a cry unique to vampires.
Hearing that call, Lucian's heart sank.
He gritted his teeth and had no choice but to swallow his pride and play the emotional card again. " Mr. Draco, Amelia is an elder of the vampires. If we let her go back, she will surely seek revenge, and we Werewolf will face annihilation!"
"If you had known this would happen, why did you do it in the first place?" Trillian commented indifferently. "We spent so much time trying to persuade you not to act rashly, but you insisted on going your own way. Now look what's happened, you've caused trouble and we have to cover for you."
Raze was enraged by these cold words, his face growing even uglier. "Fine, don't bother helping me, there's no need for this sarcastic remark."
Draco ignored Raze's temper and simply asked, "We're going back now. Need a ride?"
Lucian sighed deeply, reluctant but forced to bow his head. "... Thank you for your trouble, Mr. Malfoy."
Having received a reply, Draco, along with Trillian and Lucian, vanished from their spot and teleported directly back to the train station.
