The Merpeople in and took their seats in the living room. Hermione poured Draco a glass of water, Draco accepted affectionately.

"Thank you, wife."

The affectionate nicknames had become commonplace, but Hermione remained indifferent.

" Hermione, why didn't you pour me a glass too? I'm working so hard out here, you know," Trillian complained.

"Pour yourself if you want some." Hermione placed the water bottle in front of her.

"Favoritism..." Trillian muttered, and was about to do it herself when Michael picked up the kettle and poured her a glass. Trillian took it with a bright smile, "Thank you, you're such a kind person."

Michael gave an awkward laugh but didn't reply.

Then he picked up the kettle and poured a glass of water for Singe, Kraven, and the slick-haired man who followed him in. They took the water, thanked him, and drank it down in large gulps. Whether they were fleeing for their lives or chasing after someone, they were all exhausted from the night.

By this time, most of Kraven and the slick-haired man's injuries had healed. Kraven looked at his tattered clothes, put down his water glass, and looked at Draco, pleading, "Could you help me find some clothes? Look at me, all these holes; it's not only unseemly, but also disrespectful to the ladies here."

"You're the type to boss people around." Draco didn't seem to care.

Why bother with such details?

Draco didn't refuse. The two of them were practically naked, so he snapped his fingers, and two pieces of clothing appeared in his hands, which he handed to Kraven.

"Thank you." Kraven took the clothes, handed them to the slick-back-haired man, and then they got up together to find a place to change.

Trillian moved to sit next to Hermione, holding Trillian water glass, and eagerly shared the juicy gossip she'd heard. " Hermione, let me tell you, tonight was absolutely amazing—"

She recounted the entire night's events with great enthusiasm, from the departure of the elite Werewolf force to the ambush at the train station, Amelia's desperate escape, Lucian and Raze's fruitless return, and finally, the research of the Werewolf scientist Singe, as well as the inside story of Kraven's secret collusion with Lucian.

Hermione listened attentively, occasionally interjecting with questions to get more details. When she heard that Lucian and the vampire Kraven were colluding, she couldn't help but show a look of shock and asked, " Lucian and Kraven are colluding? Why would they collude together?"

"They're going to do something big!" Trillian said mysteriously. "They want to capture the vampire elder and Michael."

Michael, who had been standing aside the whole time, couldn't sit still when he heard this. He asked in bewilderment, "Why are Werewolf and vampires after me? Am I some kind of hot commodity?"

"No, no, no." Trillian shook her finger.

"Vampires are inherently immortal."

Michael nodded quickly:

"Yeah! Then why did they arrest me!"

"We captured you, of course, to extract your blood for experiments," Trillian explained, adding, "Your blood, combined with the vampire elder's blood, can create Half-blood life form, which is said to possess combat power surpassing that of the vampire elder if successful."

Singe didn't stop Trillian from revealing the truth, because the original plan had failed and it was time to reveal the truth. However, Selene, upon hearing this, was not as calm as him. She thought to herself: If the Werewolf really succeeded in creating such a monster, the consequences for the entire vampire clan would be absolute annihilation!

Michael didn't understand the implications, but as a doctor, he knew all too well what the words "blood test" meant, which sent a chill down his spine.

If he hadn't run into Draco and his friends, he probably would have been carried onto the operating table and dissected like a lab rat.

Hermione was puzzled. "I can understand the vampire elders, but why can Michael's blood create Half-blood life forms?"

Trillian was waiting for Hermione's question when she revealed the final, ultimate truth. "Because Michael isn't a purely ordinary person at all. He's a descendant of Corvinus, one of the very few humans in the world who shares the same bloodline as vampires and Werewolf."

"What?!" Michael jumped up from the sofa, vehemently denying it. "That's impossible! How could I possibly be of the same origin as vampires and Werewolf?!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Michael remembered that there were vampires present, so he quickly restrained his overly aggressive tone and changed his words to make amends:

"I mean... I'm just an ordinary doctor, I don't possess superhuman strength, and I can't live forever. My family has never heard of such a thing, and we don't have any related books or records... I can't possibly be a descendant of some ancient, powerful being..."

No matter how much you deny it... genes don't lie!

Singe chimed in, and Michael, hearing this, asked him:

Who are you? What gives you the right to say that?

Trillian answered for him, "He is the person in charge of the project I just mentioned— the Werewolf scientist Singe."

" Werewolf scientist?!" Michael gasped, feeling a chill run down his spine. No wonder he felt the old man's gaze was off; it wasn't the gaze of someone looking at a person, but rather the gaze of someone looking at a live experimental subject!

Just then, Kraven and the slick-haired man returned, having changed their clothes, and said to Draco, "Could we speak in private?"

Draco nodded and stood up:

"Let's go to the study."

Hermione naturally chose to follow, Trillian, of course, wouldn't miss such an opportunity to overhear a secret, so she also stood up and followed.

Just as everyone was about to move to the study, Selene cautiously asked tentatively, "May I listen in as well?"

She is a witness to this century-old hoax, and all the truths are closely related to her; she cannot stop now.

Draco stopped, turned to look at her, and asked in a somewhat indifferent tone, "What do you think?"

His tone carried a clear hint of refusal, but Kraven suddenly spoke up, offering, "Could she come along?"

Selene paused, glanced at Kraven, then turned to Draco for his opinion. She knew the final decision rested with the wizard, and since Kraven didn't seem to care, Draco said indifferently, "Let's go together."

"Um... I want to too..."

Michael stammered that it was because he didn't want to be with the old man who was obsessed with dissecting and studying him.

"Mr. Michael, can I talk to you?"

Singe stared intently at him.

Michael felt uneasy under his gaze and panicked. "Talk... talk about what? I have nothing to talk to you about..."

Trillian couldn't stop laughing, but still comforted him, "Oh, it's okay, it's okay! He can't eat you."

" Soren is staying here too..." Kraven mentioned.

This means that Soren won't let Singe act recklessly.

What does this mean? I'm surrounded by expressionless Werewolf and vampires? Michael inwardly groaned, and quickly turned to Trillian for help, " Trillian, why don't you stay too...?"
