With his grandfather missing and his aunt fallen into Chaos, the glory that the St. Garus Family has guarded for generations seems to be tarnished in his generation.
He couldn't even protect Brevis, and he couldn't work with Kerry to drive Chaos out.
Unwilling to accept it.
Overwhelming resentment surged through his consciousness like a tidal wave.
If I gave him another chance...
If I could live again...
He will not fall so easily again.
He wants to revitalize St. Garus, rescue his grandfather, cleanse the house, and protect the planet.
He still wants to... he still wants to fight alongside Kerry!
The deeper one's consciousness sinks, the more one's five senses and perceptions are drawn into a strange, colorful space.
That was the edge of the Warp, where distorted light and shadow flowed all around, and the whispers grew louder and louder, pulling at his soul and dragging him into the abyss of Chaos.
Just as his soul was about to completely sink into oblivion.
A black sun suddenly rose at the edge of this strange space.
There was no light, no heat, only extreme cold and silence.
But when that cold "sunlight" fell, the colorful Chaos light and shadow around them melted away as quickly as ice and snow meeting the scorching sun.
The tempting whispers in my ears instantly fell silent, completely swept away.
Leo's soul jolted violently.
He felt a calling, a calling from his body, from the depths of his blood.
He wants to go back.
He has to go back!
A silent scream exploded from the depths of the soul.
The next second, his soul began to rapidly retreat along the trajectory of his fall.
"Cough cough... cough!!"
A violent cough echoed in the deathly silent underground warehouse.
The young body, which should have been lifeless, suddenly began to heave violently, followed by a heart-wrenching cough.
Leo St. Garus suddenly opened his eyes.
He was panting heavily, his body drenched in cold sweat, as if he had just been pulled out of the water.
He raised his hand blankly, looking at his pale but real palm, feeling his heart beating again in his chest.
He came back to life?
The warehouse was still dimly lit, with dust floating in the air; everything was exactly the same as before he lost consciousness.
But he could clearly feel that a cold, heavy, yet incredibly familiar power had entered his body.
That power flows in my blood and slumbers in my bones, as if it has existed for thousands of years.
Leo braced himself against the ground and slowly sat up.
He looked down at his chest, where the wound that should have been fatal had scabbed over and healed, leaving only a shallow scar.
Outside the warehouse, the faint sounds of Psychic Power colliding and exploding could be heard.
Leo's eyes, initially filled with confusion, gradually became firm and sharp.
He didn't die.
He's back.
This time, he won't lose.
Leo leaned against the wall and slowly stood up.
Following his memory, he walked deeper into the warehouse. If he remembered correctly, there seemed to be a spare mech belonging to the family here.
The dust that rose up floated in the air, carrying the pungent smell of rust and old engine oil.
This underground warehouse had been sealed off for countless years, and the coat of arms of the St. Garus Family on the walls had long since faded and become mottled.
The exposed pipes bear the marks of time, and the dust underfoot is so thick it covers the soles of boots, leaving clear footprints with every step.
Leo remembered clearly that when he was a child, his grandfather had patted his head and said that this warehouse was the last trump card of the St. Garus Family, and it must never be opened unless the family was on the verge of extinction.
The only key to opening the warehouse is the family genes flowing in our blood.
He simply placed his palm on the gate's recognition area, and the alloy gate, weighing tens of tons, opened without any obstruction or even the slightest mechanical jamming.
"What exactly is he hiding..." Leo muttered to himself, his palms slightly sweaty.
The emergency lighting system seemed to be operating at a minimum, and as he went deeper into the warehouse, the motion-sensor lights overhead turned on one after another.
However, the light was not the cold white of the Imperium's standard, but rather had an eerie yellowish-green hue.
The light flickered and danced, stretching the long shadows into distorted shapes, like countless monsters lurking in the darkness.
The air grew increasingly humid, carrying a faint, sweet, fishy smell.
Leo followed the arrows engraved on the ground. The emblem was covered in dust, but the ancient patterns were still discernible.
That was the exclusive emblem of the head of the St. Garus Family throughout history.
At the end of the passage was an exceptionally open space.
A colossal object stood silently in the center, covered from head to toe by a huge red velvet cloth.
The edges of the velvet fabric were badly worn and covered in dust, making only the towering shoulder armor and slender limbs vaguely visible, like a sleeping giant.
Leo's heart began to race involuntarily.
He walked quickly to the wall and found the dusty control lever.
He took a deep breath and suddenly pulled the lever downwards.
The creaking of gears and chains echoed in the empty warehouse as the heavy red cloth slid up to the sides along the mechanical rails with a "whoosh".
Dust settled down, raising a cloud of choking smoke.
The moment the light fully illuminated the body, Leo's pupils contracted sharply, and his breath caught in his throat.
The bright yellow Adamantium armor gleamed with a calm metallic luster under the yellow-green light, and the armor plates were engraved with the sacred prayers of the St. Garus Family and angel reliefs.
The double-winged emblem on the shoulder armor remains clearly discernible despite the passage of time.
It was a full head taller than ordinary knight mechs, estimated to be at least twelve meters high, with its broad chest armor and sturdy lower limbs exuding unparalleled power.
Its left arm is a robust plasma annihilation cannon with a muzzle diameter of half a meter, and heat sinks are arranged in layers along the cannon body.
Even after years of silence, one can still imagine the terrifying power it possesses when it fires.
His right arm held a volcanic light spear. The energy slots on the spear were empty, but the dark red scorch marks left on the muzzle silently told of how many enemies it had annihilated.
" The Wrath of Holy Judgement..."
Leo murmured the name, his voice trembling slightly with excitement.
He won't admit his mistake.
This is the only Lord-class Knight Mech of the St. Garus Family, and it has been the exclusive vehicle of the family's Supreme Kings throughout history.
According to the family's ancient records, the Wrath of Holy Judgement accompanied the first Supreme King in countless campaigns to quell rebellions.
It is the true king of firepower on the battlefield.
But ever since his grandfather, Caladogon, retired from the scene in his old age, this legendary mech has completely disappeared.
Some say it was severely damaged in the war and sent to the Mars Forge World for repairs, while others say it disappeared along with the Old High King.
Leo never dreamed that it would be sealed away in the family's abandoned underground warehouse.
"That's wonderful, that's really wonderful..."
Leo excitedly pumped his fist.
With this Lord-class Knight mech, why should he fear Luna's betrayal?
Why fear those Chaos Cultist? He dares to fight even those Thousand Sons Sorcerer head-on!
The glory of St. Garus will never fade away.
