The battle raged from day to night, and from night to dawn.
The pile of corpses at the gap in C8 area was three meters high, with human and Orks remains mixed together and blood frozen into scarlet blocks of ice.
These corpses all need to be purified by spraying fire, otherwise they are very likely to grow new Orks.
However, the Orks did not spare the coalition the time needed for the cleanup.
They charged wave after wave, never stopping.
Leo couldn't remember how many Orks he had killed—five hundred or a thousand?
The Power Armour's servo systems were almost overloaded, and every breath felt like a burning sensation in my lungs.
A third of the Chainsword's serrations had broken off, and the blade was covered in green flesh and scraps of iron.
He tossed it to one of his personal guards and replaced it with a newly repaired Chainsword.
Over the course of twelve hours, eleven Deff Dreadnought squeezed through the gap.
These iron lumps are seven meters tall, their Power Claw can easily tear through Leman Russ Russ's armor, and their shoulder-mounted rocket pods can clear out an entire area with each salvo.
The coalition forces used every means to stop them.
The Melta Bomb blew off the legs of two of the machines, causing them to fall at the gap and temporarily block the passage.
But the other mechs quickly tore their two fallen comrades apart and continued advancing into the gap.
An anti-tank missile hit a tank in the chest, blasting a large hole, and the bio-modified guy inside miraculously survived.
Unlike the Space Marine veterans who were forced into Dreadnought, these Ork Boyz voluntarily underwent the Mekboy ' modifications and entered the Deff Dreadnought.
This Deff Dreadnought machine continued to fight for several more tens of minutes until a soldier threw Melta Bomb into the iron coffin, finally ending its life.
However, the remaining Deff Dreadnought remain the most difficult problem for the Allied forces to deal with.
The concentrated fire from the Heavy Bolter only left some white marks on the frontal armor, which was over thirty centimeters thick.
Even Melta rays cannot directly penetrate their armor to cause effective damage.
"Sir!" a PDF captain's voice roared into the communicator.
"The eastern flank has fallen, and the 47th Company has been completely wiped out! We can't hold on!"
Leo didn't answer. He looked at the gap, where the twelfth mech was squeezing in.
His entire body was painted blue, his left arm was Deff Kannon, his right arm was Orks Power Claw, and his chest was painted with a crooked skull in white paint, which was the symbol of the Deathskulls Clan.
This one was bigger than the previous one. It bent down, and its huge Power Claw easily tore open a temporary cover.
Behind it, more Ork Boyz surged forth, howling and brandishing machetes, their eyes filled with a desire to fight.
Leo took a deep breath, switched channels, and connected to an encrypted line. " Aiden."
There was no response.
"Sir Aiden, I know you're listening." Leo was somewhat annoyed.
"The old man sent you to watch over me, didn't he? He was afraid I'd die here and cut off his lineage."
After a burst of static noise, a deep voice sounded, tinged with helplessness:
"Young Master Leo, you can still retreat now. I've already prepared the aircraft, and it will be ready in three minutes..."
"I'm not leaving," Leo interrupted him, "And I need you to do something for me."
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
"Please speak."
"Do you see that biggest blue Orks mech?"
"I saw it."
"I want you to kill it."
There was silence again on the other end, followed by a few seconds:
"Young Master, this is not within the scope of my duties during this mission."
" Aiden." Leo's voice suddenly rose.
"This is an order! In the name of the heir to the St. Garus Family, I command you: Attack!"
Aiden sighed one last time, without responding to Leo.
Leo shut down the communication and gripped the Chainsword tightly.
"Damn it, if you're unwilling to make a move, then I'll use my own methods to force you to!"
He looked at the Deff Dreadnought, which was only ten meters away from the next defensive fortification.
The Ork Boyz behind cheered and jumped for joy; they were ready to unleash a massacre.
Leo began his charge, rushing towards the mech.
He leaped over the collapsed bunker, stepped over the frozen corpses, and gripped the Chainsword tightly in his hand.
The mech spotted him, its massive head turning to lock onto the tiny human.
The Power Claw rose and slammed down with a whooshing sound that tore through the air.
Leo rolled to the side to dodge, his Power Claw slamming into the ground, scattering blood-stained rubble and ice shards.
He got up and continued charging forward, sliding to the bottom of the mech as it raised its cannon to lock onto him.
The long-barreled gun, which had just been aimed, emitted black smoke and fired bullets with an exaggerated caliber.
The bullet, which appeared to be solid, exploded violently upon contact with the ground.
The powerful shockwave threw him away; he adjusted his posture in mid-air and landed with a somersault.
As he stood up Plasma Pistol was already aimed at the mech's leg joints.
But it was too late; the Power Claw slammed down again, and this time he couldn't dodge.
Just then, a rapid bell rang in the sky, followed by three shadows falling.
It kicked up a huge cloud of dust on the ground.
As the smoke cleared, a silver-gray " Knight Crusader- type" knight mech appeared on the battlefield.
Its shoulder armor features a shield adorned with the emblem of a roaring giant bear, its left arm is equipped with a " Avenger " Gatling gun, and its right arm carries an exaggeratedly large "Death" Chainsword.
It fired the instant it landed, the Gatling gun spewing out a two-meter-long tongue of fire, the shells forming a straight line.
The second and third are dark blue, slightly smaller in size, and belong to the " Warglaive " class of Armiger Knight mechs.
They stood guard on either side of the main knight, their shoulder-mounted missile bays opening simultaneously, unleashing dozens of missiles.
Boom boom boom!!!
The explosion engulfed the Ork Boyz surrounding the Deff Dreadnought, but it did not affect Leo beneath the mech.
The Power Claw that was about to crush Leo was instantly destroyed by the Gatling gun.
The Knight Mech, with a gait far exceeding its size, swiftly charged towards the Deff Dreadnought.
The Orks Dreadnought fired giant bullets from their Deff Kannon, but they were all blocked by the ion shields glowing on the knight's mech.
Aiden piloted his Knight mech to the blue Deff Dreadnought.
With sparks and crackling electricity, the Reaper Chainsword easily sliced it in half from left to right.
The massive, Deff Dreadnought crashed to the ground.
Then, Aiden turned around in his Knight mech, facing the gap.
The Gatling gun continued to roar, the metallic storm of its shells sweeping across the surging Orks ranks.
Wherever they went, the Ork Boyz fell like wheat being harvested by a sickle.
The two Armiger Knight mechs then began to advance.
Equipped with Melta Cannon and Power Fist, specializing in close combat, they charged towards the remaining Deff Dreadnought.
First, use the Power Fist to throw the Deff Dreadnought off balance, then use the Melta Cannon to pierce through their Deff Dreadnought breastplate.
Finally, the kill was handed over to the arriving knight mechs for the final rounds.
With the addition of these knights specifically designed to counter large units, the tide of battle was briefly turned.
