Lin Feng survived the trial, avenged himself on Chen Qiang and his allies, and grew strong enough to defeat an assassin and wipe out the Black Wind Bandits. The arc ended with Hu Ke overpowering Lin Feng and Lin Feng realizing he needed a Body Tempering cultivation technique.

• A system awakened as beasts attacked Lin Feng, granting him buffs and a Black Iron Battle Body that let him kill the beasts and advance his cultivation.
• Lin Feng hunted beasts to gain Energy Points, perfected his body and martial techniques, and killed Chen Sheng, Chen Qiang, and Hu Xia for betraying him.
• Lin Feng reached the Qi Sea Realm and defeated Chen Wen and Wu Xiao, while Huang Wei intervened and ordered Wu Xiao's cultivation crippled and his expulsion.

Lin Feng grew stronger, uncovered the Gene Cult’s crimes, and killed those who threatened him over his reward and his father’s photograph. After surviving a betrayal in the Redbud Mountain Range, he killed the Zhao siblings and returned to cultivation.

• Lin Feng tricked Hu Ke with a crystal core bomb, survived the blast, and killed him before claiming the bandits’ valuables and cultivation manuals.
• Lin Feng mastered the Bull Demon Body-Forging Art, broke through to the Qi Sea Realm, and followed mutant wolves to a Gene Cult site where he found dead test subjects and trapped prisoners.
• Lin Feng killed the Gene Cult leader after the leader detonated explosives that killed the captives, then buried the dead, perfected his techniques, and returned to Yang City.
• Huang Wei rewarded Lin Feng with martial arts and an Essence-Augmenting Pill, but Qian Wei tried to take the pill and Lin Feng defeated him at the school gates.
• Lin Feng discovered that Chen Wen and Uncle Fu had ransacked his home and broken his only photograph with his father, so he killed Uncle Fu, Chen Wen, and Chen Ao after confronting them.
• Lin Feng used pills and hunted mutant beasts for Energy Points, then accepted Zhao Xiaotong’s offer of five million credits to save her group from a beast pack.
• Lin Feng killed the wolf king and hunted down the remaining beasts, but Zhao Huan refused to pay and the group attacked him, leaving him apparently dead.
• Lin Feng resurrected behind the guard captain, killed him and Zhao Huan, rejected Zhao Xiaotong’s plea for mercy, and returned to cultivation.
