Wang Clan Main Residence.
Martial Arts Arena.
Today was a rare clear day. The bluestone paving of the Martial Arts Arena was no longer as slick as before, and the specially planted trees around it had perked up for once, making the entire arena seem a little more alive.
Inside the Martial Arts Arena, two young men were sparring.
One of them was somewhat younger. He wore a neat Xuanwu Combat Uniform and gripped a broad-bladed battle sword in both hands. Every move he made was broad and sweeping, like splitting Mount Hua with a single blow.
The blade whistled, sword light surged like a tide, and sword radiance fell like rain.
The other was slightly older and wore a casual brocade robe, looking relaxed and at ease.
With a flick of his wrist, his sword radiance glittered like stars strewn across the sky. He seemed to strike as he pleased, yet every move was exquisite down to the finest detail. Effortlessly, he broke every technique the younger man used, carrying the bearing of, "Let him rage with wind and storm; I alone stood firm as a mountain."
The pair sparring were naturally Wang Zongchang, the second of the Zong generation who had finally awakened after turning misfortune into fortune, and Wang Shouzhe, the head of the Ping'an Wang Clan.
Though uncle and nephew both cultivated the Wang Clan Profound Origin Sword, their personalities differed, and so did their fighting styles.
Wang Zongchang preferred broad, forceful attacks, while Wang Shouzhe's sword techniques were more refined and subtle. Not a single move or stance of his ever wasted even a trace of Profound Qi.
"Fourth Uncle, try this move of mine again!"
After fighting for a long time without success, Wang Zongchang flipped backward and landed more than ten feet away.
