Although all I can do is feel frustrated and helpless.
However, Fury is, after all, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.., and possesses a level of endurance that is beyond the reach of ordinary people.
He took a deep breath, struggling to suppress the rage that made him want to draw his gun and kill.
Then, he opened his eyes again, his gaze turning cold and resolute.
He walked to the table in front of the hospital bed, took a file folder out of the inside pocket of his clothes, and slammed it down in front of Steve.
" Captain Rogers, I don't care how you talked back then, and I don't care what prejudice you have against me."
Fury braced his hands on the table, leaned forward, and stared intently into Steve's eyes.
"But now, the world faces a tremendous threat. We need you to lead a brand new team called the Avengers."
Steve stopped chewing.
He glanced at the file folder on the table, then at Fury, and let out a disdainful snort.
" Avengers? That sounds like a bunch of unemployed, fucking street thugs giving themselves that crappy name."
Steve rudely tore open the file folder and dumped the photos and documents inside onto the table.
The top photo shows ruins on the streets of Los Angeles.
In the photo, a man dressed in black armor is suspended in mid-air, his eyes shining with a blinding white light.
Beside him stood an Iron Man clad in red and gold armor.
Steve frowned, picked up the photo, and looked at it.
"What the hell is this thing? Is it a circus performance?"
"They're not circus performers," Fury said coldly.
"These are the Stark brothers. The one in black armor is Luca Stark, and the one in red and gold armor is Tony Stark. They are Howard Stark's sons."
Upon hearing the name Howard Stark, Steve paused for a moment.
Then, a complex emotion flashed in his eyes, but it was quickly concealed.
Fury keenly noticed Steve's change in mood, and he knew his chance had come.
So he began to embellish the story wildly, according to the plan.
"These two individuals possess immense power, but they are completely out of control, like a cancer on this country."
Fury pointed to Luca and Tony in the photo, his tone full of anger and accusation.
"A month ago, in Los Angeles, we sent a special S.H.I.E.L.D.. team to help them."
"And the result?" Fury gritted his teeth, feigning a heartbroken expression.
"These two lawless bastards not only Carnage the entire special team as if they were monsters, but they also turned around and publicly slandered me as an anti-human terrorist in front of the media!"
"They put me in a military prison! If it weren't for my connections, I'd still be eating cold food in jail!"
Fury became more and more excited as he spoke, feeling that his acting skills were becoming more and more perfect.
He believed that anyone with a sense of justice would be filled with righteous indignation upon hearing such a story.
Moreover, Captain America is a moral exemplar, although he doesn't seem that much like one now.
He expected Steve to slam his fist on the table, berate the Stark brothers as scum of society, and then volunteer to bring those two bastards back.
However, the other party's reaction was completely unexpected by Fury.
Steve ignored Fury and continued looking through the photos.
He saw photos of Luca on a yacht with women on either side of him, and photos of Tony surrounded by a group of bikini-clad beauties at a party.
Steve looked at the photos and suddenly laughed.
He laughed so loudly that the sound echoed in the ward, making Coulson's ears ring.
"Why are you laughing?"
Fury frowned, completely baffled by the other person's thought process.
Steve abruptly stopped smiling, grabbed a photograph, and slapped it hard across Fury's face.
"I laugh at you for trying to fool me like I'm an idiot!" Steve pointed at Fury's nose and cursed.
"You call those things that look like stitched-together corpses and hairy Beast a special squad?!"
Fury was stunned.
He hadn't expected Steve to react this way.
"Back when I was fighting Hydra in Europe, what I hated most were those perverts who conducted human experiments!"
Steve spat all over Fury's face, his eyes filled with malice.
"You, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.., actually used these disgusting monsters to fight a war? You have the nerve to call others anti-human? I think you, you black devil, are the biggest anti-human element!"
Fury's face turned ashen.
He wanted to argue, but Steve didn't give him a chance to speak.
"Besides!"
Steve poked Fury's shoulder hard, making him stumble backward.
"That damn old lecher Howard, even though he's obsessed with women and a spineless coward who only knows actress Cao, is a true genius!"
"He made my shield and uniform by hand! He helped me a lot on the battlefield back then!"
Steve pointed to the photos of Luca and Tony on the table.
"You come here now and tell me his son is a cancer?"
"I think you damn cotton machine are just trying to sow discord and use me to deal with them! Do you think my brain's gone bad just because I slept for seventy years?!"
Steve unleashed a torrent of abuse on Fury, leaving Fury utterly speechless and helpless.
Coulson stood in the corner, trembling.
He felt that everything that happened today was more surreal than his past twenty years as a secret agent.
Fury was so angry that he trembled all over and his breathing became very rapid.
He swore that if he could beat Steve, he would have used up all his bullets.
The atmosphere in the ward plummeted to freezing point.
After a long while, Steve finally got tired of yelling.
He sat back on the hospital bed, picked up the hamburger, and began to eat it in large bites.
"Alright, get out of here," Steve mumbled between chews of beef.
"I'll go see them myself and see what kind of bastard Howard's son really is. If they're really as bad as you say, I'll kick their asses to pieces with my own hands."
"But if I find out you're lying to me, you damn bastard..."
Steve stopped what he was doing and gave Fury a murderous look.
"Then I'll gouge out your other eye and stuff it into your grandmother's eyelid."
Fury didn't say anything, gave Steve a deep look, then turned and walked out of the ward.
Coulson quickly followed.
Reaching the end of the corridor, Fury stopped, leaned against the wall, and let out a long sigh.
"Chief, what should we do now?" Coulson asked anxiously.
"The captain is completely out of control and is full of hostility towards us."
Fury suddenly chuckled.
"No, Coulson. The plan was a success."
Coulson looked at Fury with a puzzled expression.
He didn't understand why the bureau chief would come to such a conclusion.
I was just being insulted to the point of being treated worse than a dog, did you enjoy being insulted?
Seeing Coulson's puzzled look, Fury patiently explained.
"Don't you understand? Rogers has a fiery temper and a strong sense of individual heroism. And although he insulted me, he's already accepted the mission and decided to personally contact the Stark brothers."
Fury smiled slightly.
" Luca and Tony are even worse than Rogers. What do you think will happen when this foul-mouthed WWII veteran meets two lawless Playboy?"
Coulson paused, the image flashing through his mind, and couldn't help but shudder.
"They'll fight," Coulson blurted out.
"That's right." Fury snapped his the Snap.
" Rogers disapproves of their behavior, and they absolutely cannot tolerate Rogers ' temper. This is called using one tiger to devour another. We just need to sit back and watch them fight it out, and when they are both exhausted, S.H.I.E.L.D.. will step in to clean up the mess."
"At that time, whether it's the Stark brothers or the disobedient Captain America, they'll all have to obey our orders."
Fury felt he had the situation figured out and victory was assured.
He's already started sketching out the formation of the Avengers.
The next day arrived.
Sunny Monaco.
This is a gathering place for the world's top billionaires, filled with luxury yachts, supercars, and scantily clad female models.
A superyacht over 100 meters long is moored in the harbor.
A lavish daytime party is being held on the deck of the yacht.
The loud music was deafening, and champagne bubbles danced in the sunlight.
Luca Stark was wearing a shirt with a few buttons undone, revealing his well-defined chest muscles.
At that moment, he was wearing sunglasses and lounging lazily in a chair.
He was surrounded by six or seven hot bikini supermodels.
Some of them were feeding Luca grapes, some were massaging his shoulders, and others were simply pressing themselves against Luca Luca, giggling softly.
Luca's offer was a complete game-changer at the party.
He didn't even need to say a word; the usually aloof supermodels and Hollywood actresses would flock to him.
Meanwhile, on another chair not far from Luca, Tony Stark sullenly drank his juice, his face dark.
Although Tony's physique has now become more upright and shapely.
But compared to Luca, his face still lacked a tiny bit of appeal.
More importantly, he lost the bet.
"You lost, Tony."
Luca spat out a grape seed and gave Tony a smug grin.
"According to the bet, on opening day, you have to wear a bodysuit and do a pole dance. I've already had JARVIS order the outfit."
Tony was so angry he almost crushed the cup in his hand.
"Shut up, Luca. You beast who only thinks with your lower body."
"Look at you, all horny. Aren't you afraid you'll die on a woman's belly one day?"
"No need for you to worry about that. My physical condition is such that I wouldn't feel tired even after a month of continuous battles." Luca raised his eyebrows smugly.
"But you, Tony, your eyes are practically glued to the models' chests, yet you still pretend to be such a gentleman. Living like a repressed pervert like you must be exhausting."
"I was looking at it with an eye for art!" Tony shouted in protest.
