The two returned to Stark Tower in the afternoon.
In the office.
Jessica came over carrying two cups of coffee.
Seeing the two people who had just entered, she forced a sweet smile.
"Boss, coffee."
Just then...
On the other side of the office, Natasha walked over, carrying a plate of sliced fruit, deliberately swaying her hips.
" Mr. Tony, here is your fresh fruit."
As Natasha passed by Jessica, she deliberately bumped into her with her shoulder.
"Excuse me, Assistant Jones. Don't block the boss's way."
Jessica's eyes turned cold, and she subtly stepped on Natasha's foot.
"Excuse me, Assistant Natalie, my heels are a bit high, I lost my balance."
The two locked eyes, both smiling, but the air in the room was thick with tension.
Luca picked up his coffee, took a sip, and then exchanged a glance with Tony.
The two brothers exchanged knowing smiles, as if watching a show unfold.
" Tony."
"What's wrong?"
"Who do you think would do a better job cleaning the house if I asked them both to do it?"
Tony stroked his chin, thinking seriously for a moment.
"I bet Natalie's bodysuit looks more waterproof."
I overheard their conversation.
Jessica and Natasha's smiles froze simultaneously.
They were screaming wildly in their hearts.
These two shameless vampires!
I'll send them to hell one day!
What are you still standing there for?
Luca leaned back on the sofa and waved lazily.
"Go get some rags. If you don't finish today, your bonuses for this month will be deducted."
It was dusk.
Stark Tower, first floor lobby.
A man wearing a trench coat, hat, and sunglasses walked in briskly.
He walked to the front desk, took off his sunglasses, revealing a somewhat ferocious face.
This was Norman Osborn.
He was at his wit's end.
Last night's battle and escape accelerated the breakdown of our genes.
If he doesn't get the Stark Miracle soon, he won't survive the week.
"I need to see Luca Stark."
Norman's voice was hoarse, his tone pleading.
"Tell him... the chairman of the Osborn Group has come to him for help."
The receptionist was startled by his terrifying face and quickly picked up the internal phone.
Inside the office.
Luca smiled slightly upon hearing JARVIS's report.
"The prey has arrived."
" Tony, get ready to receive the documents."
"After tonight, the Osborn Group will no longer exist in New York."
Tony paused for a moment, then gradually began to laugh.
"Bite."
The elevator doors slowly opened.
Norman trudged out with heavy steps.
His current situation is very bad.
His skin was grayish-green, and his veins bulged out like worms.
So he wore sunglasses and used the high collar of his trench coat to cover half of his face.
He did this, naturally, because he was afraid that others would recognize this down-on-his-luck man as the once-powerful business tycoon.
" Norman, you cowardly piece of trash! You actually came here to beg them?"
The Green Goblin's shrill voice still echoed in my mind.
"Shut up!" Norman roared inwardly.
"If I don't come, I'll die tonight! I'd rather bow my head than become a pile of rotten flesh!"
Norman took a deep breath, enduring the excruciating pain and the Green Goblin's allure, and walked to the office door.
The door opened quickly.
Norman went inside.
This is an office so spacious it's the envy of many.
At this moment, Luca was half-reclining on the sofa, his legs crossed and propped up on the coffee table.
Tony stood in front of the projector, holding a wrench, seemingly fiddling with something.
"Oh, look who this is."
Luca's gaze fell on Norman with a half-smile.
"Isn't this the most famous entrepreneur in New York, the head of the Osborn Group? What, you don't have time to make grand promises to Wall Street investors today, so you've come to drop by?"
Upon hearing this, Tony looked Norman up and down, then frowned dramatically.
"For God's sake, Norman, you look worse than a moldy avocado. I'd like to know if you've come to the wrong place? The hospital morgue is just next block."
Faced with the Stark brothers' sharp tongue, Norman gritted his teeth, endured the humiliation, and took off his sunglasses.
" Luca Stark. I don't have time to waste with you."
Norman took two steps forward and placed his hands on the back of the sofa.
"I watched the press conference. I know you have a drug that can repair genetic defects. I need it."
Norman took a deep breath, trying to muster the last bit of confidence he had as a business tycoon.
"Name your price. Five hundred million? A billion? I'm willing to pay any price as long as it can cure my illness. This deal is a sure win for Stark Industries."
The office was silent for two and a half seconds.
Then, Luca and Tony exchanged a glance.
"Ha ha ha ha!"
The two brothers burst into laughter at the same time, the sound echoing jarringly in the empty office.
"God, Tony, can you hear me?"
"He said he would give us a billion dollars to treat his illness. He thought it was a sure-fire deal."
Tony tossed the wrench onto the table, walked to the bar, and poured himself a whiskey.
" Norman, have you been poisoned by the chemicals your company uses?"
Do you think the Stark Family would need your billion dollars?
"I donated more than that amount to the charity last night. You actually think you can sway us with money? That's the funniest joke I've heard all year."
Norman's face flushed crimson instantly, and the blue veins on his face throbbed violently with rage.
"So what do you want?!"
Norman roared, no longer able to maintain any semblance of decorum.
"Name your terms as long as I can live!"
Luca's smile vanished.
He put his feet off the coffee table and leaned forward slightly.
" Norman, money really doesn't matter. Stark Industries has always been happy to help those in need."
Luca paused for a moment, then smiled slightly.
"However, I have a slight obsession with cleanliness."
"I don't like selling drugs to those weirdos who like to skateboard around New York City throwing Pumpkin Bomb in the middle of the night."
boom!
Norman felt as if he'd been struck by lightning.
He stumbled back a large step, his eyes wide with terror, and his whole body trembled uncontrollably.
"How... how did you know?!"
A storm raged within Norman's heart.
Green Goblin's identity is his biggest secret!
He hid it so well, even the executives at the Osborn Group didn't know, how did Luca find out?!
"Please, man."
Tony walked over with a wine glass, shaking his head with a look of disgust.
"Your taste is absolutely terrible."
"A green bodysuit? And a ridiculously stupid pumpkin-shaped bomb? Did you buy this from a Halloween prop shop?"
"And the skateboard's engine is as loud as a tractor; I can hear it leaking oil from kilometers away."
"Anyone with a modicum of common sense can easily uncover your true nature by comparing your recent purchases of aerospace materials by the Osborn Group."
