Before Kara could finish speaking, Barry had already moved.
Regret and anger exploded in his heart, transforming into unparalleled Speed Force.
Time seemed to stand still in his perception. He saw every single eerie Green Kryptonite fragment that pierced Kara's body, and how they eroded the Kryptonian's cells like a virus.
Barry's hands moved like countless afterimages, swiftly sweeping across Kara's body.
His movements were incredibly fast, yet unbelievably gentle, as if he were handling the most exquisite work of art.
In less than a second, he had pulled out hundreds of tiny kryptonite fragments, which were now suspended in the vortex of his divine speed force in his palm.
"Hehehe..." The laughter of the Batman Who Laughs had not yet faded.
Barry looked up abruptly, his eyes flashing with golden electricity.
With a backhand flick, the Cyclone containing the Kryptonite fragments was sent flying back at a speed far exceeding that of a bullet!
At the same time, he spread his arms and unleashed a golden Speed Force storm centered on himself!
The wind howled, whipping up rubble and dust from the ground, forming a visible tornado.
The devastating storm did not harm the surrounding teammates in the slightest, but it precisely targeted the Batman Who Laughs.
The latter tried to dodge, but found itself being held down by an invisible hand. Along with the Kryptonite fragments that Barry had flung back, it was blown away by this unreasonable hurricane and smashed into the depths of the ruins a kilometer away like a tattered sack, where it remained motionless.
After doing all this, Barry didn't even look at the result. He bent down, picked up the weakened Kara, and transformed into a golden lightning bolt, soaring into the sky.
The Speed Force storm pierced straight through the gloom that shrouded the city, and the blinding sunlight instantly bathed Kara's body.
The Kryptonian ' bodies began to rapidly repair themselves under the sunlight.
The wounds eroded by Kryptonite healed at a visible speed, and his pale complexion quickly regained its rosy hue.
In less than a minute, Kara's eyes regained their bright blue light, and she moved her body, feeling her strength flowing back in.
"I'm alright, Barry," she said softly.
At that very moment, on the battlefield below, Diana was engaged in an unprecedented and arduous struggle.
"Clang!"
The Sword of Hephaestus flew out of his hand, arcing through the air before embedding itself in the ground some distance away.
The Devastator's rock-like fist slammed into the divine shield, causing the golden light to shake violently and cracks to appear everywhere.
Diana gritted her teeth; the muscles in her arms were sore and numb.
She could feel that the opponent's power was still rising, that pure, destructive power, and with each impact, she felt as if her bones were about to be shattered.
"Roar!"
The Devastator let out a triumphant roar, kicking the shield. Diana could no longer hold on and was sent flying backward, crashing heavily into a crumbling wall.
He did not give chase, but turned and walked toward the Sword of Hephaestus stuck in the ground.
He yanked it up, a cruel glint in his scarlet eyes.
He would use this god-slaying weapon to personally behead this goddess!
Diana struggled to stand up, but all the strength seemed to have been drained from her body.
She could only watch helplessly as the enormous monster raised its sword and pointed it at her.
At this critical moment, a red and blue figure fell from the sky like divine punishment!
Stay away from her!
Kara's roar even drowned out the Devastator's howl.
She appeared in front of the Devastator in an instant, snatched the Sword of Hephaestus from his hand, and plunged it into his thick chest with a backhand motion!
"Pfft!"
The blade was mostly embedded in the ground.
The Devastator let out a painful roar, staring in disbelief at the weapon embedded in his chest.
Kara gave him no chance, delivering a powerful punch, fueled by boundless rage, that slammed squarely into the Devastator's chin.
"Boom--!"
The Devastator's massive body was blasted away by this punch, flying hundreds of meters away like a boulder thrown by a catapult, smashing a series of abandoned buildings to pieces.
The tide of battle turned in an instant.
On the other side, Hal Jordan also had a clear advantage.
He formed a giant green hand, gripped the still-struggling the Dawnbreaker tightly, then swung it through the air like a hammer, smashing it down on the distant ruins that had just quieted down!
The Dawnbreaker struck the Batman Who Laughs, who had just crawled out of the rubble, and the two Dark Batman rolled around in a heap.
Meanwhile, James and Lucy Lane, who were battling the Murder Machine, also received support.
Although the cyborg monster was powerful, it couldn't defeat it for the time being due to James's defense and Lucy's distraction.
Just as he was about to unleash his shoulder cannon in an attempt to forcefully suppress the two, a giant wave suddenly shot up from the underground waterway of the ruins, transforming into two water dragons that tightly bound him.
Arthur Curry, wielding a trident, bursts forth from the water, Queen of the Sea Mera, manipulates the water with both hands, completely halting the Murder Machine's movements.
"Now!" Arthur roared.
He and Mera exerted their power simultaneously, and the two completely different forces converged to form a devastating shockwave that blasted the Murder Machine away, sending it crashing heavily to the ground where it remained motionless for a long time.
The Justice League members regrouped, and although they were all injured, their momentum had completely overwhelmed their opponents.
Just then, the Batman Who Laughs that had been smashed into the rubble slowly dusted himself off and stood up, completely unconcerned about his injuries.
The Dawnbreaker and the Murder Machine beside him restarted, and the Devastator in the distance even pulled the sword from its chest, the wound healing at an astonishing speed.
"Hehehehehe... What a brilliant team effort." The Batman Who Laughs grinned his signature, nauseating laugh. "But do you really think... we've won like this?"
He spread his arms wide and said in an aria-like tone, "Do you want to outnumber us?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the space behind him suddenly distorted, and a huge portal flashing with an ominous red light tore open out of thin air!
Behind the door lies an endless nightmare.
Bane, modified by metal cards, is covered in mechanical tubes, his muscles swollen beyond recognition; the Penguin sits atop a War Machine made of claws and a beak; the Riddler is covered in glowing green runes, his eyes gleaming with mad wisdom; Mr. Freeze has been completely transformed into an ice monster... A Legion villains from Gotham, twisted to the extreme by darkness, have emerged.
Behind them were countless nightmare monsters of all shapes and sizes, and... lifeless, puppet-like Teen Titans!
"Roar--!"
The moment those nightmare monsters appeared, they sensed something. Ignoring the Justice League heroes, they pounced on Grail at the back of the group like madmen.
Their target was the quiet Darkseid baby in her arms!
This action undoubtedly stirred up a hornet's nest.
Grail, who had been observing the situation coldly like an outsider, suddenly felt a thunderous rage ignite in her blood-red eyes.
"Court death."
The giant scythe in her hand drew a deadly arc, and the dozen or so nightmare monsters at the front were cut in half before they even had a chance to scream.
Black blood splattered all over her, but it only intensified the murderous intent on her face.
She was like a killing god returned from Hell; every time she swung her scythe, she took away a life.
Even the Devastator tried to sneak up on her from behind was blasted through the shoulder by her Omega Beams without even turning his head, and was sent flying away with a scream!
But there were simply too many enemies.
The Nightmare Legion poured out of the portal in droves, fearless and undaunted.
To make matters worse, the heroes no longer had the potions Thomas Wayne had given them, and apart from Grail's incredibly powerful Omega Beams, their attacks were doing very little damage to these nightmare monsters.
"We have to retreat!" Diana decided immediately. "We can't afford to waste time fighting them here!"
She rushed to Barry's side and snatched the golden Helmet of Fate from him.
" Diana, wait!" Barry tried to stop her, but it was too late.
Without the slightest hesitation, Diana put the helmet on her head.
"Buzz--!"
A vast, ancient power, as boundless as the universe, instantly surged into her body.
The power of Nabu, the god of order, flowed through her helmet and permeated her entire body, golden divine light bursting from her eyes.
She raised her hand and chanted an incantation in a solemn and ancient language that was not her own.
A massive teleportation array, composed of countless golden runes, unfolded beneath everyone's feet.
"Walk!"
A flash of golden light engulfed everyone present, including Grail, who was wreaking havoc, and the baby in her arms.
The next second, everyone felt their feet firmly planted, and a refreshing sea breeze and the fragrance of flowers wafted over them.
They had left that Hell ruin and arrived at a beautiful, divine island.
This is Themyscira, the hometown of Diana.
"Ugh!"
However, before everyone could breathe a sigh of relief, Diana suddenly let out a painful groan, her helmet-clad body went limp, and she fell straight to the ground.
" Diana!"
Barry cried out in surprise and rushed over to catch her limp body.
He looked at Diana in his arms, her eyes tightly closed and her face contorted in pain, then at the helmet that still gleamed with gold, and urgently called out to the others, "Guys! What happened?!"
Hal and Arthur both frowned.
"That helmet has been tampered with." Hal's Green Lantern Ring flashed, analyzing the helmet's energy. "I can sense a twisted, malicious dark aura within it... It's the work of the Batman Who Laughs!"
"This is troublesome," Arthur said in a deep voice, "We don't have anyone here who knows magic."
As soon as he finished speaking, a series of orderly footsteps echoed from the surrounding woods.
A Legion of Amazon Warrior wielding spears and shields surrounded them; leading them was none other than Hippolyta, the queen of Themyscira.
She glanced at her daughter, who was being held in Barry's arms, her face showing little surprise, only the composure of a queen and the worry of a mother.
" Diana, leave her to me." Hippolyta's gaze swept over the crowd. "I will heal her."
Several female warriors stepped forward and carefully lifted Diana's body from Barry's arms, following the Queen toward the temple deep within the island.
As Diana was taken away, Kara suddenly remembered a crucial question, "Wait, what about Zatanna and Constantine? Where are the Justice League's magical advisors?"
Barry began, "You'd have to ask Cyborg..." He trailed off, then suddenly remembered, "Well, Victor's already been captured."
Everyone fell silent.
They knew very well that the Batman Who Laughs's army would find them sooner or later, and sitting idly by was not an option.
But now, they have not only lost one of their strongest warriors, but they have also lost contact with Green Arrow and Mister Terrific's team, who are out searching for Nth Metal.
Just then, a pale hand unexpectedly reached out from the sea near the beach.
Immediately afterwards, a man wearing a trench coat, soaking wet, with seaweed still clinging to his hair, poked his head out of the water, cursing and swearing.
"Bollocks!"
John Constantine poked his head out and spat out a mouthful of seawater, discovering the crowd on the shore.
He wiped his face, his gaze sweeping across the crowd, and finally asked, "Where's the other Old Bat?"
Barry instantly rushed into the sea, pulled Constantine out of the water, and asked urgently, "You know Thomas? Constantine! What did your prophetic magic foresee?"
Constantine pulled a crumpled cigarette from his pocket and tried to light it, only to find that his lighter was completely soaked and he couldn't get it to light.
He sighed in frustration before saying, "It came at a small price. With that old bastard Barbatos around, prophetic magic is basically a pile of crap! But thankfully, my prophecy was right; you saw him, didn't you?"
"Yes!" Hal also came over, his tone carrying a rare hint of relief. "You finally came through for once, but he was taken away by the Batman the Batman Who Laughs using some kind of teleportation spell or something. Do you know where he is?"
Upon hearing this, Constantine's nonchalant expression vanished instantly.
His face turned deathly pale, and his pupils contracted sharply.
"It's over!" he cried out. "He must have been dragged to the Dark Multiverse! Damn it! I'm too late!"
