" Vers, the game is over."
"Come home with me."
go home?
Carol glared angrily at the man who had deceived her for six years.
Her home is in New Orleans, in that country cottage.
Her home was near Maria and Monica.
Her home is on Earth.
"My name is..."
She spoke slowly and deliberately, her voice carrying the suppressed rage of an impending eruption.
"It's Carol Vers!"
The smile on Yon Roger's face vanished; he disliked this feeling of being out of control.
"It seems you haven't learned anything after six years of instruction."
He shook his head regretfully.
"Emotions are a weakness, Vers, they can make you..."
"Hello!"
An extremely impatient voice interrupted his sermon.
Wei tapped the bulkhead next to him with his boxing gloves, making a "bang bang" sound.
"Do you aliens always talk this much before you fight?"
She pointed to Yon Rogge, and then to the Kree soldiers behind him.
"Hurry up and get it over with, don't waste my time. I need to get back for a late-night snack."
Yon Rogers frowned.
Who is this pink-haired primitive man from Earth?
The Kree sniper Minn-Erva behind him raised his energy rifle and aimed it at Vi.
"Shut up, you caveman."
A smile that was both incredibly bright and incredibly dangerous appeared on Wei's face.
"I hate it when people point a gun at me."
Before he could finish speaking...
She moved.
Ignoring the complex and tense standoff between S.H.I.E.L.D.., the Skrulls, and the Kree, he charged straight toward Minn-Erva!
"Court death!"
Minn-Erva pulled the trigger.
A blue beam of energy shot out!
Vi's body twisted at an incredible angle in mid-air, and a beam of energy grazed her cheek, melting a large hole in the bulkhead behind her.
She didn't slow down at all!
"Too slow!"
Minn-Erva's pupils contracted, and before she could fire a second shot, a gauntlet gleaming with a ghostly blue light rapidly enlarged in her field of vision.
Minn-Erva was sent flying backward by the punch, crashing hard into the roof of the plane.
This sudden punch ignited Gunpowder keg.
"Fire!"
"Yon Rogers roared."
Kree soldiers fired indiscriminately at everyone inside the cabin!
Fury reacted extremely quickly, tackling Maria to the ground behind a row of seats.
There were only two ordinary people present, so they could only hide in the back and fire shots from the shadows.
Energy beams and bullets clashed wildly in the cramped cabin, scattering seat padding everywhere and sending Spark flying across the metal bulkheads.
In the chaos, Carol had only one goal.
Yon Rogers!
She transformed into a streak of light and crashed into the man who had deceived her for six years and stolen her life!
"Good timing!"
Excitement flashed in Yon Roger's eyes.
He activated the gravity controller on his wrist, and an invisible force field enveloped Carol.
"You forgot? Your power was given to you by me, Vers! What I can give you, I can take back!"
He tried to use his old methods to verbally suppress Carol.
But this time he failed.
Carol's mind was no longer filled with the doctrines of Supreme Intelligence, but with Dr. Lawson's final instructions, Maria's worried gaze, and Monica's innocent smile.
You've given me nothing!
She roared, and the photon energy within her body erupted with unprecedented intensity!
That invisible shackle of gravity shattered inch by inch amidst the dazzling golden light!
"Well done, girl!"
Vi punched a Kree warrior so hard he was embedded in his seat, and didn't forget to whistle at Carol.
"It should have been done a long time ago!"
Just then, the entire fuselage of the Quinjet transport suddenly sank!
The Kree attack and the resulting explosions inside the cabin caused the entire aircraft to lose its balance and begin spinning wildly in the air.
"Hold on tight! We're about to crash!"
Maria's desperate screams echoed from the cockpit.
She frantically pulled the joystick, trying to regain control of the death spiral.
Everyone was tumbling and bumping around inside the spinning cabin.
Vi grabbed the metal bar securing the seat next to her to steady herself, and with her other hand, she caught Nick Fury as he was thrown towards her.
"Boom--Rumble--!"
The transport plane eventually crashed into the desert at a tilted angle.
"Pah... Pah!"
Wei kicked open the deformed hatch, crawled out from a pile of black smoke-belching parts, and spat out a mouthful of sand.
"Damn, this crappy plane is really bad quality."
She looked around.
Yellow sand filled the sky, stretching as far as the eye could see.
Fury was helping Maria climb out of the sandpit.
Talos and his surviving Skrull brethren emerged from another breach, cautiously surveying their surroundings.
A little further away, the Kree Empire's warplane was also buried in the sand.
The hatch opened.
Yon Rogge and the remaining members of the Starforce crawled out and glared angrily at them.
"Round Two!"
Vi clenched her fist. Without the slightest hesitation, her pink figure drew a straight line across the desert as she charged towards the Kree's position!
"Stop her!"
Yon Rogge roared.
Two Kree warriors came forward.
Vi's speed didn't decrease but increased. Just before they made contact, she slid through the middle of them, pushed off the ground with her Hextech Gauntlets, and launched herself into the air.
She spun in mid-air and slammed both fists into the back of the heads of two Kree warriors.
"Bang! Bang!"
Just as Wei was about to finish off the two guys, her body suddenly stiffened.
He withdrew his hand dejectedly and pushed it aside, leaving all the audience members bewildered. Had this person suddenly changed their personality?
Before Carlo could ask any questions, a fighter jet roared in from the sky.
As they passed over the crowd, the hatch opened, and three figures crashed heavily onto the desert like meteorites.
The impact whipped up a cloud of yellow sand, forming a temporary sand wall that separated everyone on the battlefield.
The sand wall dissipated.
Standing on the far left is a humanoid creature engulfed in raging flames.
He simply stood there, and the sand beneath his feet began to melt, turning into dark red glass.
The one on the far right is a Ronin wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat.
He was dressed in a faded blue outfit, with an antique-looking long sword at his waist, his hand never leaving the hilt.
The person in the very center made Nick Fury's pupils shrink to pinpoints.
He wore a dark green combat uniform with a prominent eagle emblem on his chest and carried a triangular shield emblazoned with the American flag.
A ghost, buried deep within the archives of history, stood vividly before him.
Soldier Boy!
Yon Rogers frowned as he looked at the three strangers who had suddenly appeared.
Especially the burning guy and the swordsman, the energy fluctuations emanating from them far exceeded the range of ordinary Earthlings.
But his pride as an elite commander of the Kree Empire wouldn't allow him to show weakness in front of the "primitive men."
"Just more bugs."
Yon Rogge snorted and waved to the few remaining members of the Starforce.
"Clear them out."
"Clear?"
The Soldier Boy's smile widened when he heard his words.
He tapped his breastplate lightly with the edge of the shield, producing a crisp metallic clang.
"Did you hear that, guys? These blue aliens in their pajamas are saying they're going to wipe us out."
He took a step forward.
"Let me teach you impolite space tourists what true... United States spirit is!"
