Yasuo didn't adopt any fancy swordsmanship starting stance.
He simply lowered his center of gravity slightly, his right hand resting on the hilt of the sword, his fingertips trembling slightly from the craving for alcohol.
But this did not affect his speed.
On the contrary, it was a state of extreme excitement and readiness for battle.
The blue figure transformed into a blurry streak of light and crashed directly into the horde of bizarre monsters.
" Steel Tempest."
The sword's edge traced a perfect arc, propelled by the momentum of the charge.
The four-armed monster charging at the front was wielding a rusty machete.
It didn't even see the enemy's shadow clearly, only feeling a chilling sensation sweep across its waist.
"Pfft!"
Yasuo's longsword was drawn and sheathed in an extremely concealed manner in an instant.
The four-armed monster's bulky upper body continued to lunge forward due to inertia, attempting to tear at the air.
Its lower body, however, remained firmly rooted to the spot, twitching uncontrollably.
A large gushing of filthy, black blood erupted like a fountain.
The foul-smelling blood mist was spilled all over the ground, staining the deck a dark purple.
"Hassey!"
Yasuo swung his sword upwards with a backhand motion.
A fierce gust of wind swept up from the ground, lifting the other two acid monsters, which were attempting to flank the attack, into the air.
The green liquid, strong enough to corrode steel, lost its aim in the gale and instead poured onto the unfortunate few behind, eliciting screams of agony from the monster horde.
"You're too slow, big cat!" Yasuo weaved through the crowd, even having the leisure to turn back and tease, "Is this what you call the King of the Forest?"
His response was a tiger's roar.
Hector doesn't possess the same elegant skills as Yasuo.
He was simply using his body to withstand the force.
A nearly three-meter-tall, stitched-together giant swung a rusty fire axe down at Hector's head.
That force was enough to split a car in two.
Hector raised his hands, which were covered in a white energy cloak, and actually caught the sharp axe blade.
"Sizzle--!"
The axe blade rubbed against the energy coat, creating blinding Spark.
Get out of my way!
The green light in Hector's eyes surged.
His arm muscles bulged, and he actually snatched the giant axe weighing several hundred pounds, then swung it backhand.
The giant's head was smashed to pieces by its own weapon.
Red and white substances splattered everywhere, covering Hector completely.
But the smell of blood only fueled the ferocity within him.
He threw down his giant axe and lunged at his next target.
With a swing of its claws, severed limbs and broken arms flew through the air.
"Rude." Yasuo shook his head, casually pinning one of the attacking, sharp-toothed monkey monsters to the mast. "But it worked."
On the second deck, Count Nefaria remained seated in that chair.
He looked like a nobleman watching a play from a theater box, leisurely swirling the Crystal glass in his hand.
The red liquid reflected the horrific Carnage below.
A man in a red robe wearing a silver mask bent down, his voice trembling.
"These two guys... are much more troublesome than expected. That's Vought's Yasuo; his swordsmanship doesn't conform to any known superpower logic. If we don't use ' The Reaper,' these test subjects are probably..."
What's the rush?
Count Nefaria's aged fingers tapped lightly on the armrest.
"Most of Vought's heroes are spoiled brats. I want to see what expression they'll have when their proud wind turns into a sigh of despair. But I'm also curious why Vought's people are here."
He extended a finger and gently pressed down.
"Let's add some seasoning to this appetizer."
At his command, the spotlights around the deck, which were originally just for illumination, suddenly changed color.
A blinding red light enveloped the entire battlefield.
Immediately afterwards, a rumbling sound of machinery operating came from under the floor.
Yasuo had just severed the neck of a tentacle monster when he suddenly felt his feet sink into the ground.
Several steel plates on the deck flipped over without warning.
A dozen or so thick metal tubes extended from below, spraying thick red smoke into the battlefield.
"Cough cough... What the hell is this thing?"
Hector inhaled a puff of smoke and immediately felt a sharp burning sensation in his lungs.
Worse still, the monster corpses that had already been chopped down began to writhe upon contact with the red smoke.
The severed limbs grew granulation tissue wildly, not only reconnecting themselves but also becoming more deformed and violent.
The giant monster whose head had just been smashed by Hector staggered to its feet again.
Instead of a head growing back into its neck cavity, a huge mouth covered with spiral fangs split open, emitting a hissing sound like metal scraping.
"This is what they call a ' Blood Feast '?" Yasuo covered his mouth and nose, his brows furrowed. "This old man's taste is a hundred times worse than I imagined."
"They're getting stronger!" Hector swatted away a resurrected monster with his claws, only to find its flesh had become incredibly tough, making his wrist numb. "This smoke stimulates cell regeneration!"
"Then chop them into dust, and let's see how they regenerate."
Yasuo's eyes turned cold, and his sword trembled in the air, emitting a clear, resonant sound.
The surrounding air currents began to converge rapidly towards him, and the gale dispersed the red mist around him.
A dark figure suddenly burst out from the red mist.
That's the headless giant monster from before.
It was now more than twice as fast as before, and the giant axe it had picked up again swept across the room with a whooshing sound.
"Face the storm!"
Yasuo points his longsword forward.
A Wind Wall several meters high suddenly appeared out of thin air.
"When--!!"
The giant axe struck the Wind Wall, producing a deafening roar like a great bell.
The airflow oscillated violently, but the Wind Wall remained completely still.
Yasuo used the momentum to leap backward, his body spinning in mid-air.
" Last Breath!"
He teleported directly behind the giant.
The giant creature didn't even have time to react before its body froze on the spot.
The next second, countless fine sword marks appeared on its massive body.
"Puff puff puff--!"
With a series of sharp, tearing sounds, the monster was instantly reduced to thousands of pieces of flesh.
Even the most magical smoke couldn't piece this pile of minced meat back together.
Yasuo landed and sheathed his sword. He looked up at the second deck, his gaze piercing through the pervasive red mist, and stared directly at the old man high above.
"This dish is too greasy," Yasuo's voice cut through the noisy battlefield. "If you're trying to entertain me, you might as well serve yourself up."
Count Nefaria's smile finally vanished.
He slowly stood up and smashed the Crystal glass in his hand onto the ground.
"A reckless Wild Dogs."
The Earl tore off his expensive cloak, revealing a black bio-armor underneath.
"Since you're so eager to die, then I'll grant your wish."
