Vought Future Academy.
This magnificent building, spanning thousands of acres, is situated on private property in upstate New York, surrounded by dense redwood forests and high-voltage power grids.
Above the earth, it is a world-class " Cradle of elites," boasting the ability to cultivate political, scientific, and high-caliber talents for human civilization.
Sunlight streamed onto the white, European-style domed main building, and the lawn was meticulously manicured.
Young students, carrying books, strolled through the corridors, their faces beaming with anticipation for the future.
This place is nominally Cradle for cultivating human elites, but in reality, it is the most secret experimental field of the Vought International.
Adrien walked down the corridor leading to the underground laboratory.
He straightened his impeccably tailored purple suit, tilted his head slightly in the reflection of the metal wall, and made sure that not a single stray hair of his meticulously styled blond hair was sticking out.
For him, controlling appearances is the first step to controlling the world.
This is the " Pandora " zone, where behind every heavy lead blast door lies a monster powerful enough to rewrite physics textbooks.
Adrien walked to the door of the core laboratory at the end of the road.
The pupil scan passed, the pressure valve hissed as it released air, and the door slowly slid open to both sides, unleashing a chilling surge of energy.
Right in the center of the laboratory.
A cylindrical magnetic field confinement device is suspended in mid-air.
At the center of that restraint, a blue Cosmic Cube called the " Tesseract " was quietly rotating.
It is beautiful.
Her beauty was both alluring and deadly.
Dr. Rick Dr. Selvig was hunched over the control panel, his hair a mess, and his dark circles under his eyes so intense it looked like he'd just been drained of his life force by a succubus.
He stared intently at the few frantically jumping red lines on the screen, his fingers flying across the keyboard, muttering something incoherently to himself.
"PhD."
Selvig shuddered, but the fear in his eyes subsided slightly when he recognized the person as Adrien.
"Dean Veidt... could you please make some noise when you walk?" Selvig took off his glasses and rubbed his temples vigorously. "My heart can't take this kind of shock."
"Fear stems from the unknown, Doctor. And what we are doing is eliminating the unknown."
Adrien walked to the restraints, hands behind his back, as if admiring a masterpiece. "How's the progress? The boss's attention to this project has surpassed that of Homelander."
When work was mentioned, Selvig's cheek muscles twitched slightly.
He pointed to the monstrous-looking machine behind him.
It was an energy converter made from the wreckage of Kree spaceship engine, and it was also connected to Skrulls bio-gene extraction pipelines.
A Frankenstein's monster of alien technology and geoengineering.
Brutal, but effective.
"It's not optimistic." Selvig up a set of data charts, the peaks of which were alarmingly high. " The Kree's energy transfer technology is indeed powerful; it can forcibly tear through spatial barriers. But the problem lies with the Tesseract itself."
Selvig lowered his voice, as if afraid of waking the glowing cube. "It's alive, Dean. I have a feeling... it's resisting our extraction, it's angry."
"Anger?"
Adrien smiled.
"Inanimate objects have no emotions. If they do, it's your weakness at work."
Adrien turned and looked toward the giant culture chamber on the other side of the laboratory.
A female experimental subject was suspended in the pale green nutrient solution.
She was naked, her body covered with countless tubes.
Those conduits are connected to energy converters.
This is the "perfect container" that Vought selected from millions of volunteers worldwide.
The gene sequence underwent three recombinations, resulting in brain development five times that of ordinary people, and willpower was honed through hellish trials.
" The Skrulls ' mimicry genes grant their cells extraordinary plasticity, enough to withstand the erosion of spatial energy," Adrien said calmly. "Add to that the Kree's photon engine technology... and we will create a myth."
"But this is insane!" Selvig raised his voice, pointing at the test subject, "We're trying to stuff a star into a human body! In the simulation just now, the readings have already exceeded the critical value three times. If it's actually launched, it'll most likely not create a god, but blow up the entire New York State!"
The other assistants in the lab stopped what they were doing and looked over in alarm.
Everyone values their life.
The salary here is shockingly high, but you still need to be alive to enjoy it.
"Risk?"
Adrien turned around, his indifferent eyes sweeping over everyone present.
"Every step of human evolution has been taken over from countless corpses. If you don't even have that much awareness, you might as well go wash cloaks for your Homelander."
Adrien walked to the main control panel, his long, slender fingers hovering over the red start button.
"Dean! No!" Selvig tried to rush over to stop him.
Adrien pressed it.
Without any hesitation.
The Tesseract inside the restraints suddenly burst forth with a blinding blue light.
The light was no longer gentle; it became violent and sharp.
The Kree's engine roared to life, the deafening sound of its turbines drowning out the alarm.
A thick stream of blue energy was forcibly extracted and poured into the female test subject's body through a conduit.
"Ughh...
The test subject's skin instantly ruptured, and the blood that had just gushed out was evaporated into red mist by the high temperature.
Immediately afterwards, the Skrulls ' repair genes began to work, and the wound healed at a visible speed, growing new, metallic-looking skin.
Destruction and rebirth alternated in her life hundreds of times every second.
"Energy output is forty percent... fifty percent..." the assistant's voice trembled, "Cellular activity is plummeting! She's collapsing!"
"Increase the power." Adrien said expressionlessly.
"Converter overheating! Cooling system failure! Dean, it's really going to explode!" Selvig roared desperately as he looked at the row of glaring "ERROR" messages on the screen.
The laboratory lights began to flicker wildly.
The tiles on the ground cracked, and tiny pebbles floated up, defying the laws of gravity and dancing wildly in the air.
This is a sign of overflowing spatial energy.
Adrien ignored the instruments that were about to explode; he stared intently at the incubation chamber.
Within that chaotic mass of blue light and blood mist, a dazzling gold was being conceived.
"Look," Adrien pointed to the oscilloscope, "This is the melody of creation."
Dr. Selvig slumped into his chair.
He gazed at the body that was radiating golden light.
He muttered to himself.
This is not science.
This is blasphemy.
The laboratory alarm suddenly went off.
The red light cut off the original blue hue.
This is a warning sign of energy overflow.
"Dean, the energy pool is saturated! We must cut off contact!"
The assistant screamed in despair.
Adrien remained standing in the same spot.
He stared intently at the creation that was about to take shape.
His eyes were filled with nothing but fanaticism.
That was the final challenge to the boundaries of intelligence.
Hold on for ten more seconds.
He calmly announced.
Just as the countdown reached zero, the entire laboratory shook violently.
A shockwave, accompanied by a blue energy stream, swept across the entire laboratory.
The reinforced glass shattered, Spark flew from the control panel.
Selvig was thrown by the blast wave and slammed heavily against the wall.
The other assistants also stumbled and fell, screaming in pain.
All electronic devices were rendered unusable.
Adrien narrowed his eyes.
He gripped the fixed railing with one hand, and although his hair was disheveled and his suit was covered in dust, his back remained ramrod straight.
The smoke slowly dissipated.
The experimental subject that was originally lying in the nutrient solution has disappeared.
A layer of flowing, liquid gold-like energy enveloped her entire body, forming the prototype of a battle suit on her skin.
Her long, golden hair moved without wind, each strand crackling with blinding electricity.
