Daredevil stepped into a puddle, and the condition of his left ear was terrible.
It felt as if a thousand crazed wasps had been swarming inside, their high-frequency buzzing wings churning his brain nerves, hammering at his head every second.
The Radar Sense had barely recovered about 70% from the chaos.
The man in front of them walked away without making a sound, exuding Gunpowder.
The two turned into a dark alley.
There aren't even any streetlights in this place, and the ground is littered with broken glass and dead rats crawling out of the stinking ditch.
"That madman kidnapped people to lure me in."
Daredevil hugged the wall to avoid the obstacles beneath his feet.
"He's a freak who only creates chaos; he has absolutely no logic in his head. If you go and disrupt his activities now, you'll only make things worse."
Frank stopped and turned to stare at Daredevil.
"I messed things up? And what about you, Azazel? So many people died in the 15th Precinct!"
The Punisher grabbed Daredevil by the collar and slammed him against the brick wall. "You were there! Daredevil! You watched those uniformed cops suffocate from the gas, watched them scratch their own faces to shreds!"
Daredevil grabbed the arm.
You could have killed him!
Frank's voice rose higher and higher, spitting all over Daredevil's mask. "Why don't you kill that bastard with the Joker makeup! Why don't you do it!"
"So how many people did you kill at the docks tonight!"
Daredevil suddenly unleashed a burst of ferocity, shoving the Punisher aside and grabbing the man's bulletproof vest.
"Three hundred or four hundred? Has the world become a better place because of the people you killed? What have you left behind besides corpses everywhere?!"
What I leave behind is tranquility!
Frank shoved Daredevil's hand away and took a half-step forward without backing down.
"At least the scum I've killed will never again rob old women of their wallets, never again sell heroin to ten-year-olds on street corners, and most damn well, never turn a police station into a gas chamber!"
Frank stuck a finger into Daredevil's chest, pressing harder with each word he spoke.
"Look at the people you let go! You tied them up and sent them to the police station. And then what?"
"The next day, they hired a scoundrel lawyer, paid bail, and swaggered out the front door, only to continue stabbing ordinary people in the stomach that night!"
"Your so-called justice is nothing but a self-deceiving joke!"
Daredevil stood frozen in place, opening his mouth to refute, wanting to invoke the laws, procedures, and bottom lines—the principles he had upheld for many years.
But all that flashed through his mind were images of Sergeant Brett lying on the ground, foaming at the mouth and convulsing, and the innocent people laughing hysterically in the green gas until they died.
Just as the two were about to draw their swords.
A piercing screeching sound erupted from the main street outside the alley, accompanied by the melody of a circus accordion.
Three SUVs sped toward them, their blinding high beams illuminating half the street in a ghastly white light.
The front of the car was covered with steel anti-collision corners, and several thugs wearing Joker masks leaned half their bodies out of the windows, brandishing baseball bats and machetes and howling wildly at the roadside.
"Court death!"
Without uttering a single word, Frank pulled out his large-caliber pistol and fired a shot at the first car, shattering the thick glass into a spiderweb-like crack.
But the Punisher pulled the trigger three times in quick succession without pausing.
All three bullets hit the same spot, with the last bullet blasting the driver's skull open.
The out-of-control SUV veered off course and crashed into a fire hydrant on the roadside, sending water jets soaring into the sky.
Daredevil, on the other hand, uses a completely different fighting style.
He took a running start along the wall, stepped on the edge of the nearby trash can, and leaped into the air. While still in mid-air, he swung the short stick, which flew into the right front wheel hub of the second car.
The stick head jammed the bearing, causing the right front wheel of the SUV to detach and fly off. The rear of the vehicle bounced high up and rolled three or four times before landing upside down not far from the two people.
Daredevil used a forward roll to absorb the impact before landing.
He sprang up and lunged at the overturned vehicle, grabbing the screaming man inside through the window and delivering two blows with his fists the size of sandbags.
The bridge of his nose broke on the spot, and the guy's eyes rolled back as he fainted.
The last car was blocked and could not run over the two men, so it had to brake hard and stop in front of them. A member of the Joker Gang wearing a plaid shirt appeared, carrying a Remington shotgun with a sawed-off barrel.
Before he could even aim, the Punisher had already charged forward, slapping the gun barrel away and delivering a powerful punch to the other man's cheek.
The Joker Gang member had several teeth knocked out on the spot, but before he could fall to the ground, the Punisher grabbed him by the collar, pulled him back, and slammed his right knee upwards, breaking two of his ribs on the spot.
Where is the Happy Factory?
The Punisher grabbed the thug by the throat with one hand and slammed him against the hood of the SUV.
The engine's intense heat made the thugs' eyes roll back, and they desperately tried to pry at the arm around their necks.
During the interrogation, two other henchmen who had just climbed out of the car tried to pull out their guns, but Frank didn't even glance at them.
He knew very well that Daredevil wouldn't stand idly by.
Sure enough, after two crisp cracking sounds of bones dislocating, the two unlucky guys were already lying on the ground groaning.
"In... in that abandoned chemical plant in Kingpin... Sector B..." The thug was in so much pain that he spat out blood.
Click.
Frank crossed his hands without hesitation and snapped his neck.
What are you doing!
Daredevil, having just dealt with the other two, turned around and strode over angrily. "He's already confessed! You didn't need to kill him!"
The Punisher, bent over, rummaged through the corpse, too lazy to even look at him. "Because he confessed, he's a useless piece of trash now. What's the point of keeping him alive? To wait for him to wake up and go on another robbery?"
He quickly pulled a walkie-talkie from the corpse's pocket and flicked the channel switch on the side with his thumb.
Then he turned around and threw the thing directly at Daredevil.
Daredevil gripped the walkie-talkie in his hand, about to speak, when a static crackled from the receiver.
"Dear listeners, welcome to Hell's Kitchen Late Night Radio."
That shrill, exaggerated voice emanated from the speaker, sending Daredevil's heart plummeting to an ice cave.
It was the Joker, laughing Shang-Chi: "Tonight's theme is, guess how long your best friend can stay in the pool?"
"Here's a little tip for all you helpful listeners: this kind-hearted Black friend is really tough! Even my brand-new alloy saw blade can't cut through him. It's really frustrating."
"But don't worry, everyone, its outer shell is very hard, but it's already starting to get moldy inside."
The Joker moved closer to the Mike.
"Tick-tock... tick-tock..."
"Hurry up, Little Red Riding Hood! If the pickles soak for too long, they'll rot! Hahahaha!"
