Colonel Phillips pushed a metal briefcase in front of the Soldier Boy.
The box was opened.
Inside, a dozen or so oddly shaped silver hand grenades were neatly stacked.
"A new product from Foresight Company: the Repulsion Field Grenade."
Phillips, cigar in mouth, mumbled, " Lynn said this thing will make you... a little more comfortable on the front lines."
The Soldier Boy picked up a grenade and weighed it in his hand.
"Grenade?"
He scoffed and tossed the grenade back into the box as if it were trash.
"Do I need this kind of thing that only women use? My fists are the best weapon!"
Colonel Phillips shrugged. "It was Lynn Morris's... suggestion. He wants you to take these toys and take down Hydra's Perfect Beings Factory."
"He ordered me?"
The Soldier Boy's eyes turned cold.
"No, he just said that Red Skull is using you to test the mettle of his monsters."
Phillips exhaled a puff of smoke and slowly added, "You are now the perfect whetstone in Red Skull's eyes."
whetstone?
The Soldier Boy's facial muscles twitched.
He, the God of War, actually became someone else's stepping stone?
He closed his suitcase, picked it up, turned around, and left without saying a word.
Phillips watched his retreating figure and shook his head.
That damn bastard, Lynn knows better how to manipulate him than he does.
On the other side, at the Czechoslovakia border.
Peggy Carter placed a folded, dark gold exoskeleton suit in front of Jim Hammond.
" Sentry Armor, new equipment sent by Lynn."
"It amplifies your power, allowing you to control your Flame more precisely."
"A gift from the guide?"
"Yes."
Peggy looked into his pure orange-red eyes and continued to convey Lynn's "oracle."
"Your guide says that Hydra's factories are producing blasphemous bodies incessantly, and he needs you to purify them. Soldier Boy will launch the attack from another location."
"Purify..."
Jim Hammond donned the Sentry Armor without hesitation.
The metal components automatically fitted onto his body, emitting a series of soft mechanical clicking sounds.
The moment the armor closed completely, he realized that the Flame within him had found a more perfect outlet.
A Flame rose in his palm, more solid than ever before.
"As you will, Guide."
He transformed into a fiery red meteor, more dazzling than ever before, soaring into the sky.
John Schmidt, the Red Skull, leaned back in his chair, a glass of red wine in his hand, watching the live battlefield on the main screen with great interest.
In the scene, the Soldier Boy is like a trapped Beast, struggling to break free from the encirclement of the Perfect Beings legion.
Each time he tore apart a Perfect Beings, he was jolted by the subsequent spatial explosion.
That pathetic state pleased Red Skull immensely.
"Look, Zola."
Red Skull swirled his wine glass, his crimson face full of smugness.
"This is their 'god,' a fool who only knows how to use brute force. My Perfect Beings is slowly eroding his divinity."
Dr. Zola, adjusting his glasses, smiled obsequiously and said, "Your wisdom is unparalleled, Your Excellency. He is merely the first touchstone of our perfect work of art."
The Professor Pyg stood silently on the other side, wiping the scalpel in his hand without saying a word.
Just then, the Soldier Boy on the screen suddenly stopped charging.
He pulled a silver grenade from his waist and pressed the button on it before the Perfect Beings's self-destruction light illuminated, then threw it.
"Buzz--"
An energy field spread out.
The energy explosion, powerful enough to warp space, Oblivion silently.
The shock that had left the Soldier Boy dizzy was soothed.
Even the Soldier Boy was stunned.
He looked down at his hands, then at the deactivated grenade lying silently on the ground in the distance.
An indescribable feeling rose from the bottom of my heart.
That bastard... just how many more unimaginable things is he hiding?
In the control room, the smile on Red Skull's face turned to surprise.
He stood up and stared intently at the screen, the wine glass in his hand cracking as he gripped it.
"What is that?!"
"Impossible!"
Dr. Zola screamed, her eyes widening behind her glasses.
"That... that's an energy neutralization field! How could he possibly possess such technology!"
On the screen, the Soldier Boy, having finally realized what was happening, burst into the Batman Who Laughs.
He no longer passively defends himself, but transforms into a rampaging bulldozer!
Holding a shield in one hand and activating a repulsive field grenade with the other, he cleared a safe passage for himself.
Suicide attacks were a complete joke in his eyes!
"Bang!"
Red Skull slammed the goblet in his hand onto the ground, the crimson liquid splattering everywhere.
"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!"
He pointed at the screen and roared.
"This is the Perfect Beings you're so proud of? Compared to a tiny hand grenade, they're nothing but a walking pile of trash!"
A piercing alarm suddenly went off.
The monitoring footage from the factory on the east side was switched on another screen.
A humanoid creature engulfed in flames descended from the sky.
He raised his hand and pointed, and a beam of solidified Flame instantly pierced through a defensive turret, the intense heat melting the steel into molten iron.
" Human Torch?!"
Red Skull's pupils shrank to the size of pinpoints.
"Your Majesty..."
Dr. Zola's voice trembled.
"Activate Fenrir."
Red Skull's voice was cold; his rage had transformed into a deeper madness.
" Fenrir's energy core is still unstable, forcibly activating it..."
"I told you, start it!"
The Red Skull turned around, its scarlet head grotesque under the light, resembling a demon.
"Boom--"
The entire factory began to shake violently.
The ground in the center of the factory cracked open, and a colossal object slowly rose up.
It was a giant mech over fifty meters tall, with a ferocious design; it was a steel behemoth poised to pounce.
Its body was covered with countless energy cannons.
Fenrir Giant Wolf!
Hydra has poured all its resources into creating this ultimate weapon, combining it with the technology of the Tesseract!
"Roar--!!!"
The Fenrir Giant Wolf's electronic eyes flashed red, and it let out a deafening roar.
Countless energy cannons locked onto the Human Torch in the sky, forming an impenetrable network of firepower.
Human Torch was caught off guard by this sudden, saturation attack.
On the other side, the Soldier Boy who had just smashed open the factory gate with his shield also saw this large "toy".
There was no fear on his face; instead, an unprecedented competitive spirit was aroused within him.
"That's more like it!"
He the Batman Who Laughs as he charged straight towards the mech's feet, braving the barrage of fire!
The mechanical eye detected the uninvited guest and quickly turned the cannon around.
But it was too late.
The Soldier Boy had already rushed to the foot of the mech, his hands gripping the armor seams of the Fenrir Giant Wolf's legs, his muscles bulging and veins popping!
"Open it for me!"
With a roar, he actually tore a hole in the hard alloy armor with brute force!
The Human Torch in the sky seized this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
He stopped dodging, swooped down, and poured the golden-white Flame he had condensed to the limit into the gap in the armor!
"No--!!!"
Red Skull let out a desperate roar from the distant command center.
He watched helplessly as the energy lines inside the mech melted under the intense heat, and the energy core's readings skyrocketed until it overloaded!
Soldier Boy and Human Torch demonstrated a terrifying destructive power where "1+1 is far greater than 2"!
A deafening roar.
The Fenrir Giant Wolf's chest erupted with a dazzling light like the sun, and its massive body disintegrated in a series of chain explosions, turning into a mushroom cloud that soared into the sky.
The Soldier Boy stood atop the burning wreckage of the mech, letting the blast wave whip his hair around, and the Batman Who Laughs to the sky.
He reveled in the destruction, in the crushing victory!
