In another universe
The Illuminati held an emergency meeting, this time initiated by Professor X.
The main members of the Illuminati are currently: Mister Fantastic, Professor X, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Black Bolt, and Namor.
Some people may not know the latter; just think of him as another version of Aquaman, who is also related to the legendary kingdom of Atlantis.
Professor X's gathering of several Illuminati members was certainly not for reminiscing. Once everyone had arrived, the elderly Professor X murmured:
"I sense a new threat; a force that is shaking the very foundations of the universe is rising."
"A new enemy? Who is it!" Iron Man was the first to speak, but this was not the Iron Man who died when the Snap.
Instead, he is a new Tony Stark who uses his Zhihui and advanced armor technology to lead the Avengers protecting the universe.
An older, more mature, and smarter Tony Stark.
"I don't know, I just had some premonitions, and my student Qin sensed that the Phoenix Force had disappeared in a certain spacetime."
Professor X shook his head. For Mutants Mind Stone him, every premonition is not without reason.
" The Phoenix Force! It's gone! This is no joke."
Mister Fantastic and Doctor Strange exchanged a glance, both sensing that something was amiss.
They knew very well what the Phoenix Force was, and it was precisely because they knew that they found it absurd.
If the opponent can silently counter the Phoenix Force, then its existence will cause enormous damage to the very foundation of Marvel.
"Besides this, are there any others? Is it possible to pinpoint which universe is experiencing the problem?"
"If that's confirmed, I'll go there directly. I'll handle it."
Namor, who was standing to the side, also spoke up in a low voice. He was not known for his intelligence; he was usually the one who carried out the plans.
After all, expecting a half-fish, half-human creature to possess both immense power and superhuman Zhihui is really asking too much.
Moreover, the Illuminati already has many intelligent people; they do indeed need a brute to carry out the specific plans.
Stark was standing nearby, had originally wanted to tease the other party about his reckless behavior and how it disrupted the operation each time, but considering that he was not wearing the armor to fight the other party and the difference in strength, he swallowed back the rude remarks that were on his mind.
There's nothing you can do; when a scholar encounters a soldier, reason is useless.
This Namor may look ordinary, but his actual abilities are far superior to that guy next door who calls himself the Aquaman. He can swim in the water, run on land, and fly in the sky. He has immense strength and can even control the ocean.
Apart from his low IQ being a major weakness, he doesn't have any major shortcomings.
"No rush. My student Jean has already gone to that universe following the guidance of the Phoenix Force, and I've also sent X-Men there to investigate."
Professor X spoke softly.
"However, just in case, I initiated this meeting, hoping everyone will pay more attention to the developments in the multiverse and not let things escalate to an unmanageable point before we realize it."
"You're right, Professor, we'll keep a close eye on things."
"If things develop in ways that don't meet expectations, then we will personally intervene and eliminate this problematic world."
Mister Fantastic nodded solemnly.
The Illuminati founded to prevent crises that could potentially threaten the Marvel Multiverse, and they are willing to destroy some irredeemable universes for this purpose.
In the eyes of these intelligent people, this was an essential sacrifice, for the sake of the greater good.
I just wonder if they will still have the same composure when they are no longer part of the bigger picture and become sacrifices themselves.
In a suburb of Florida, a portal slowly opened, and a group of men and women walked out of it.
They were all dressed in black tactical uniforms, their expressions were indifferent, and they had the air of elites.
One of the women, with long brown hair, stepped forward, a glint of gold flashing in her eyes, before she nodded.
"This world once held the lingering aura of the Phoenix Force, but it has since vanished."
"According to the timeline, this should be a parallel universe like ours, where no one should be able to withstand the power of the Phoenix."
The newcomer was none other than Jean Grey, the Phoenix from another timeline. After the Phoenix Force was taken away in this world, she sensed the intervention of an unusual power.
Now that she had truly come into this world, Qin couldn't help but feel a sense of sorrow on her face.
A teammate stepped forward and put her arm around Jean Grey's shoulder. "It's okay, this is what we came here for. We will make this world normal again."
The man speaking was none other than Jean Grey's husband, Cyclops Scott.
This time, he, as the X-Men Team, led a team including Wolverine, Rogue, Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, and Storm to investigate the anomalies in this world.
Hmm... it's just an investigation; Professor X sternly instructed me to do this before we set off.
The Phoenix Force to make a world disappear was so potent that even with Qin, who had already mastered the Phoenix Force, as the final act, everyone was prepared to flee at any moment.
With the help of the White Phoenix Force controlled by Qin, and the special abilities of the Shadowshadowcat, they can escape to other worlds at any time.
With the assistance of the other X-Men members, they could attack or defend as needed, so Scott didn't actually think the mission was that dangerous.
"Alright, stop being so lovey-dovey and get down to business," Wolverine Logan said from the side.
As a man with an ambiguous relationship with Qin, the relationship between the three of them is very complicated.
If this happened in America, in a more traditional place, they would have been fighting tooth and nail by now.
Scott subtly pulled the violin closer to himself, as if asserting his ownership, before speaking in a hoarse voice:
"Since we've just arrived in this world, in order not to alert the enemy, everyone should first spread out, quietly gather intelligence, and then summarize it."
"First, we need to figure out what time this world is currently at, and whether any special events have occurred, in order to find out why the Phoenix Force has disappeared."
No one objected to Scott's arrangement as captain. After agreeing on a meeting place, everyone left based on their own abilities.
They are all veteran SWAT team members who have been tempered by various events, and they have long had their own habits on how to operate.
Furthermore, each of them possesses at least Alpha-level Mutants strength, so gathering intelligence wouldn't pose any danger.
However, as these people gathered more information, their faces turned grim, and they eventually regrouped at the agreed-upon time.
The situation was more bizarre than they had imagined; the development of the timeline had completely gone awry.
