X-Men: Apocalypse Universe
Magneto Erik was led by the X-Men on a fugitive journey and soon arrived at a prepared basement.
As the team leader, Scott naturally took on the role of interrogator when he saw Magneto, who was temporarily under Jean's control.
"I'd like to say 'long time no see,' but you probably don't recognize me."
" Magneto, Erik, tell me, what exactly happened in this world?"
Magneto's abilities and causal relationships were temporarily suppressed by the Phoenix Force, limiting his formidable strength and turning him into a prisoner, but there was no panic in his eyes.
He looked up with interest at the people in front of him. They all possessed a powerful aura and showed traces of the students his old friend had taken in before.
Just as Apocalypse said, not all Mutants are righteous; some prefer to be traitors.
Apocalypse had already told him about the existence of other timelines interfering, and that the person coming might be extremely powerful, even overwhelming him.
At first, Magneto didn't believe it, but now he does... But what good does it do?
"What do you want me to say? Traitor to the Mutants."
Magneto's eyes were very calm, without any extra emotions, only a kind of hatred for his son's lack of ambition.
"Who's the traitor, you troublemaker?"
Scott didn't like Magneto, and after being provoked, he immediately lost his temper.
"Of course it's you! You've opposed me and tried to stop the rise of Mutants. Aren't you traitors?"
Magneto wore a disdainful expression, revealing nothing of his knowledge that the people in front of him did not belong to his own world.
Only by bearing everything and taking everything upon oneself can the traces of the Apocalypse be concealed.
"We're saving the world! What have you done to make Jean Grey and Professor X disappear in this timeline, and turn everyone in the world into Mutants?"
"Do you realize that this kind of behavior is disrupting the world's development and truly preventing humans and Mutants from living in harmony!"
Scott roared as he finished speaking, revealing that he had inherited Professor X's philosophy, which was completely at odds with Magneto's.
Their goal is to coexist peacefully with humanity, which even includes using their abilities to serve humanity.
There is never true harmony; Mutants will fight for what they need.
Magneto stared intently at Scott; this was a clash of ideologies.
Whether it's humans or other Zhihui beings, once their ideologies clash, the only outcome is for one side to completely crush the other.
"You..." Scott wanted to say a few more words.
Seeing the unwavering determination in Magneto's eyes, he ultimately gave up trying to persuade him.
He turned to his wife, "Qin, can you read his mind directly?"
"No." Qin shook her head, a look of helplessness on her face.
"I tried it. His resolve was too strong, and the mental strength of a Mutants approaching the Omega-level is simply too immense."
"I cannot continue to probe his Mind Stone while his abilities are restricted."
"Even using the Phoenix Force can only temporarily limit his abilities. If I were to fully explore his mind, there would only be two outcomes."
"Either he will suddenly launch an attack and break free of his restraints, or he will take this opportunity to completely destroy his mind and spirit, leaving no trace whatsoever."
"Damn it!" Scott cursed, not at his wife, of course.
There's no way to use brute force; you simply can't persuade a determined warrior with words alone, especially when the other party is Magneto, Erik.
This is a guy who would give anything for the ideals of Mutants, and his greatness is in no way inferior to Professor X, a fact that Scott acknowledges.
"No, let's take him back!" Shadowcat suggested from the side.
Seeing that everyone was looking at him with disapproval, Shadowcat also voiced his own thoughts.
"We don't know what's happening in this world, and we can't get him to talk, so we might as well take him back."
"With the help of Qin and the professor, even the God won't be able to keep any secrets from us."
"Although this will waste a lot of time, it's still better than us mindlessly interrogating people here."
The X-Men members exchanged glances, all of them somewhat tempted.
There's nothing we can do; billions of people in this world have all been turned into Mutants, and nobody knows who's behind it.
Magneto won't get any information out of them, and staying here is a waste of their time.
It would be better to return to their own universe, where, with the help of the other X-Men, they could figure things out before coming back to save the world.
"I agree with this idea. What about the rest of you?"
"Agree."
"Can."
"That's a good idea."
"Alright, then let's prepare to take this person back..."
Scott was about to give orders when he suddenly realized that his thinking seemed to have slowed down considerably.
A strikingly handsome man dressed in a long black robe suddenly appeared in the room, as if everything around him had been put on pause.
The only one who showed any reaction was Jean Grey. The moment this stranger appeared, the Phoenix Force within her seemed to be greatly stimulated and began to erupt spontaneously.
Unfortunately, the newcomer was far too powerful; a mere Phoenix Force Fragment was not enough to withstand them.
Xu Xiao appeared, a glint of light flashing in his Golden Pupil of Myriad Phenomena his brows, and then chains woven from rules bound the zither tightly.
The raging Phoenix Force was completely suppressed before it could even manifest.
"Oh dear, what bad luck! I just arrived and I see you're trying to ruin my plans."
Xu Xiao gently pointed his finger at Cyclops, and the other's body immediately decayed rapidly, turning into ashes in an instant.
Following this, everyone else present suffered the same fate, including Magneto, Magneto left to take the blame, leaving only Jean Grey unscathed.
The original plan was to have Magneto attract these people's attention, giving Apocalypse time to operate, but now that Xu Xiao has come in person, there's naturally no need for Magneto.
Magneto is too weak. Even with his enhanced magnetic field abilities, he's still no match for Omega-level Mutants, let alone Jean Grey's Phoenix Force.
Xu Xiao decided to personally oversee this universe, drawing the attention of the Marvel Universe here, which would be enough for Apocalypse to complete his plan.
Anyway, it was just an experiment, and Xu Xiao also gained something from Phoenix.
He was itching to test his skills against a strong opponent.
