These dozen or so beams of light and shadow are none other than the eighteen famous Arhat among the Western Sect Arhat, also known as the Eighteen Arhats Dharma Protectors.
No one expected that the protective formation of Spirit Mountain would be smashed by a monkey who had just stepped into the Daluo realm.
The incident happened suddenly, and the monkey was still acting arrogantly and recklessly.
The Eighteen Arhats, of course, would not sit idly by and wait to be killed, but quickly took action to intercept the attack.
The two leading Arhats, who were also Great Arhats, along with several other Arhats, formed a battle formation and forcefully withstood the monkey's attack of "Heaven and Earth Transformation".
"Good, good, good, finally a bald monk has appeared."
"Come on, take this from my Old Sun's staff!"
The monkey showed no intention of communicating, and, enraged, swung its giant club forward once more.
"You impudent monkey! This is a sacred Buddhist Sect, how dare you be so insolent!"
All eighteen Arhat unleashed their golden bodies, and eighteen complementary Great Dao intertwined, attacking the monkey.
The monkey, fearless and undaunted, brandished its stick and fought against the Eighteen Arhats.
The monkey's arrogance soared, its Dao of Battle continuously improved, and its combat strength multiplied.
The attacks from the Eighteen Arhats would instantly heal him, but would then stimulate his ferocity, making the giant club in his hand even more powerful.
In just a short while, apart from the two leading Arhats, the Dragon Subduer and the Tiger Subduer, who were relatively safe, all the other dozen or so Arhats were injured, and two of them even had their golden bodies cracked.
The Dao of Battle is inherently for killing and fighting; when competing against others of the same realm, it is practically invincible.
Not to mention, the monkey himself felt as if he had divine assistance, his Great Dao was running smoothly, and he even discovered more of the essence of the Dao of Battle in the constant fighting, and his strength was still growing.
Theoretically speaking, if a monkey could fight endlessly, its cultivation level would continue to rise like a rising tide.
This is also the terrifying aspect of the Dao of Battle: the more you hone yourself, the more you fight, the stronger you become!
It can be considered one of the top three Great Dao in the Three Realms for direct combat.
However, with such an arrogant Douzhan on someone else's doorstep, the Buddhist Sect naturally couldn't just sit idly by and watch their own members being bullied.
"Alas, you monkey have gone astray. I originally intended for you to complete your Journey to the West and become my disciple."
The Tathagata Buddha, seated in the main hall, sighed slightly and stretched out his right hand, intending to suppress the monkey directly.
As the leader of a religion, Tathagata one of the strongest beings in the world, second only to the Sage. Even the Daluo Immortals have no right to be arrogant in front of him.
However, as he made his move, a figure silently appeared in the main hall of Spirit Mountain.
Dressed in white, with a compassionate expression Xuanzang appeared from the distant East in the main hall of Spirit Mountain, smiling Tathagata he looked at the Buddha.
"Does the Tathagata have the time for us to discuss Buddhist principles? As for the outside matters, how about I leave them to my disciple?"
Xuanzang asked the question seemingly casually, but the Tathagata's outstretched hand could no longer be struck.
As the new Buddha recognized by the Heavenly Dao, Xuanzang's Light-Heart Tathagata Xuanzang is of the Tathagata. He ascended to the Peak Daluo in one step, and no one dared to underestimate him.
"Since it is the Light-Heart Tathagata invited me, I will naturally welcome him with open arms." The Buddha Tathagata and gestured with his hand, indicating that Xuanzang should take a seat.
The two sat facing each other, their minds intertwined with similar yet distinct Buddhist principles, and began a debate that neither could disturb.
Below, the three great bodhisattvas, Guanyin, Samantabhadra Manjushri, exchanged a glance, their eyes revealing a sense of helplessness.
With the Tathagata being restrained, the other opportunists, such as Maitreya Buddha and Medicine Buddha, all remained silent, leaving only the Buddha's Tathagata descendants to step up.
Western Sect is not monolithic. Although the Tathagata is nominally the supreme Buddha and most Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhat follow his teachings, not everyone is in his camp.
Although the journey to the Journey to the West concerns the entire Buddhism, it is difficult for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from other schools to intervene unless there is absolute external pressure.
Gods and Buddhas are no different from humans; they all have their own perspectives and considerations.
To get them to join forces, external pressure would have to be significant enough to influence the entire Western Sect, and clearly, they don't believe Xu Xiao and his companion are currently qualified.
"Let this humble monk do it first; it's a good opportunity to settle both old and new grudges." Guanyin sighed and took a step forward.
A lotus platform rose beneath their feet, and in an instant they were outside Thunderclap Monastery.
Watching the monkey entangled with the Eighteen Arhats, Guanyin's gaze was fixed on Xu Xiao: " Xu Xiao, you two have invaded my Buddhism sacred ground; today, no heavenly law can protect you."
Having said that, Guanyin took out a willow branch from the Jade Purification Vase with her left hand and swung it fiercely at Xu Xiao.
This time, he held nothing back, unleashing a strike imbued with his own Great Dao.
"Well done! Back then, my cultivation was weaker than yours, so I had to resort to tricks. Now, I'll have to see Guanyin's true abilities." Xu Xiao leaped out swiftly, meeting Guanyin's attack with a sword strike.
The Cause and Effect Tribulation Sword, entwined with the Power of Variables, slashed out and collided with Guanyin's willow branch, creating an invisible sound of the Great Dao colliding.
Deafening!!
The two Great Dao collided, and the Power of Variables seemed to disappear after the collision, but Guanyin's expression suddenly turned ugly.
"You! You can even shake my Great Dao?!" Guanyin exclaimed in surprise, having suffered a loss in the previous clash.
Although his cultivation level seemed higher and his magic weapon was of higher quality, at the moment of the collision, that terrifying Power of Variables directly eroded his Great Dao and tried to shake his Dao principles.
Fortunately, Guanyin reacted instantly and used her Magic Power to counteract that Power of Variables.
"All the great Great Dao are predetermined by cause and effect, and variables possess infinite possibilities. Of course, they can be shaken, even reversed, and your Great Dao can be returned to the beginning of your cultivation. It just takes more effort."
Xu Xiao responded with a cold laugh.
As a fellow Daluo Immortal, relying on the sharpness of the infinite possibilities of the Power of Variables, he dared to contend with any being below the level of Sage, after all, this is a power that can directly damage the fundamental laws of the Dao and is more likely to affect the cause and effect of the Great Dao.
"Evil demons and heretics! They deserve to be punished!!" Guanyin gritted her teeth, and then manifested herself as the Thousand- Thousand-Armed Guanyin with Senju.
Only by personally fighting Xu Xiao can one understand the unpredictability of his Great Dao and the dangers involved.
" Guanyin, you're nothing special. Even if you display all your divine forms, how much can you possibly harm me?"
Xu Xiao, however, remained fearless and faced Guanyin's image with the Tribulation Cause Sword.
The more trouble he causes, the more he fights, the more Power of Variables he gains.
If he could humiliate the Western Sect or even change the balance of power between the two religions, the Power of Variables he gained might just be enough to seize an opportunity to achieve a Hunyuan state.
Moreover, the real battlefield was never with him, but between Xuanzang and Tathagata, and between the Heavenly Court and the Daoist Sect.
