As Turles's energy stabilized,
Cacao switched on the scouter.
The scouter stopped working once its reading reached 100,000.
[Energy exceeds detection range!]
Turles was reasonably satisfied with the result.
This old scouter wasn't as capable as the ones used by the Frieza Force.
Its detection range only went up to 100,000.
It could no longer determine Turles's exact power level.
Before the Grand Elder used Potential Unleashed on him, his full power level had been around 60,000.
The result showed that a single use of the Grand Elder's Potential Unleashed was worth at least several months of his arduous training...
Now that he had a rough idea,
Turles took Tights and Cacao with him again and teleported to the direction he had roughly determined with the scouter earlier.
Atop Kami's Lookout,
The unprepared Kami was so startled by the three figures appearing out of thin air that he staggered backward.
If Mr. Popo hadn't steadied him in time, he would have fallen on his backside.
When he looked up and saw the face before him clearly,
His eyes widened like barbell weights.
His index finger rose unconsciously, trembling uncontrollably.
"Y-you..."
"How is this possible..."
"G-Goku?"
Meanwhile, on Turles's side,
Tights was just as shocked.
She looked at Kami, feeling as though her brain couldn't keep up.
Wasn't this Earth?
Could it be a planet that just looked a lot like Earth?
No, otherwise, why would there be a Namekian here?
Turles smiled slightly.
"Nice to meet you, Earth's god. You can call me Turles."
Nice to meet you?
Kami gradually calmed down.
That was right, this person wasn't Goku!
Goku didn't have such tremendous power...
He lightly wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Mr. Turles, h-hello. Hello to all of you. Are you visitors from outer space?" Kami struggled to keep his composure.
Turles nodded.
"Yes. Oh, not all of us, though. This lady is an Earthling. I just brought her back along the way."
Hearing that, Kami instinctively looked at Tights.
She did feel somewhat familiar...
But this alien who looked exactly like Goku had brought along a girl from their Earth.
That was good news.
For now, the other party didn't seem to mean any harm.
At that thought,
Kami couldn't help but relax his tightly stretched nerves a little.
But he still couldn't afford to be careless.
He asked solemnly and carefully, "Honored guests, welcome to Earth."
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
Turles nodded in affirmation quite naturally. "That's right, I do need your help."
At those words, Kami was stunned.
He had only asked to see, but he hadn't expected the man to actually need his help.
He swallowed the words that had been on the tip of his tongue.
The man had such tremendous power, and he still needed his help?
He reorganized his thoughts.
Just as he was about to speak,
Turles beat him to it.
"Sorry, time is precious, and I don't want to waste it here. Mr. God, could we discuss this in detail inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?"
"Just the two of us."
Kami almost thought he had misheard.
The Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
How did he know about the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
But under the circumstances, Kami had no time to dwell on it.
Looking at Turles's amiable smile,
Somehow, he couldn't bring himself to voice any excuse.
It was as if something terrible would happen if he defied this man.
"All... all right, Mr. Turles. This way..."
Kami turned to lead Turles inside the Lookout.
"Kami..." Mr. Popo spoke up, a little uneasy.
Kami forcibly suppressed his nervousness.
"Mr. Popo, I'll leave our two honored guests outside in your care."
Mr. Popo could only nod and agree.
Before following Kami, Turles also paused briefly.
He turned and smiled at Tights.
"Ms. Tights, for your own safety, could you please stay within Cacao's sight until I come out?"
"Come out? Where are you going? Will you be in there long too?" Tights didn't understand.
"Not too long. I should be out in a day."
With that, Turles followed Kami.
On the way, Turles tried to reassure Kami in as calm a tone as possible.
"Mr. God, there's no need to be nervous."
"I mean you and Earth no harm at all."
"Come to think of it, I owe it to the help of your people that I was able to come here."
Kami shuddered violently at those words.
What?
His people?
What did that mean?
"Mr. Turles, what do you mean?"
"Who are my people?"
"Namekians. Didn't you already know you weren't an Earthling, Mr. God?" Turles began offering answers that would interest Kami.
At that moment, Kami's heart was in turmoil.
Namekian?
Was that what he was?
Kami had always been searching for the truth of his origins.
And now, a strange alien had simply revealed it to him like this.
"Mr. Turles, may I ask you... to tell me more about my people?"
"I will, Mr. God. Once we're inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, we can talk about anything."
At those words, Kami nodded slightly and unconsciously quickened his pace.
Before this, besides Kami, Turles had also considered Master Korin and Master Roshi as candidates.
This was why he had ultimately chosen Kami.
What he needed was the essence of Earth's martial arts, accumulated over hundreds of years.
And Kami, too, would want to know the truth of his origins.
At last, the two arrived at the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Just as Kami was about to open the door,
Turles suddenly remembered something.
"I almost forgot... Mr. God, wait for me a moment."
Before he had even finished speaking, Turles vanished.
