After learning of this obscure chapter of Penacony's history from Simmons, Bai Heng decided to fulfill some of his obligations.
Before leaving the bakery, Simmons recommended a Glamoth pancake to him as a gift for a fellow Glamoth native.
These Glamoth pancakes came in two varieties.
The regular version and the special-supply version.
The regular version was broadly similar to ordinary fruit pancakes, with only the skill of the fruit cutting and the freshness of the ingredients revealing Simmons's standards.
At least in the portion Bai Heng sampled, there was not a single case where poorly cut fruit ruined the texture of the entire pancake. The fruit displayed atop the pancakes had just the right sweetness and perfectly uniform shapes.
As for the special-supply version, the original fruit had been replaced with fresh bitter melon.
As for the taste, that depended on the person.
Bai Heng found it difficult to imagine why this had become a classic Glamoth snack... But on second thought, he seemed to have been the one to suggest it in the first place... Well, it was quite tasteful.
After enjoying the Glamoth specialty pancake, Bai Heng told Simmons that he would be back for more.
Then, he bid Simmons farewell and stepped out of the warm bakery into the gilded dreamscape.

"You're back?" Jade stopped leafing through an asset valuation report and looked up at Bai Heng, who had entered the conference room through the automatic hatch. "It seems your dreamscape experience was not a pleasant one."
"No, there was just a minor incident, Miss Jade." Bai Heng's tone was calm, while his tranquil eyes carried a little more depth. "Overall, I was quite satisfied."
"Do you need my help?"
Bai
