Background and History

Original Ancestor’s Successor

Chaos City Lord is Original Ancestor’s eldest disciple. Unlike his teacher’s path of fusing all Ten Great Laws, he specializes in time and space. He adopted the title Chaos City Lord to remember his teacher’s charge to protect Chaos City and the Human Race 335 358 598 622.

After Original Ancestor’s suppression, he assumed actual control of the Virtual Universe Company and Virtual Universe Network. Together with Giant Axe Founder, he resisted the other peak races’ attacks, killing numerous enemy Universe Masters and preserving Human Territory 190 208 394.

His responsibilities prevented him from freely searching for a way to rescue Original Ancestor. He stationed a slaughter-focused clone in the Original Universe as a deterrent, while another body guarded Chaos City. The Chaos Ruins became littered with the corpses of alien powerhouses who had invaded Human Territory 360 363 529.

Zhang Junbao’s Admission to the Lineage

Chaos City Lord initially recognized Zhang Junbao as a remarkable genius but could not understand why Original Ancestor had singled him out. During their meeting in the Chaos Ruins, he learned that Zhang Junbao had received his teacher’s inheritance and accepted him into Original Ancestor’s lineage on the teacher’s behalf 225 248.

To conceal Original Ancestor’s involvement, he publicly presented Zhang Junbao as his own nominal disciple. Privately, the two addressed each other as senior and junior brothers 248 329.

Concerned that the True Meaning of Taiji and the fusion of all Ten Great Laws would lead Zhang Junbao into disaster, he urged him to abandon that path. When Zhang Junbao refused, he allowed him a thousand years to comprehend the origins of all ten laws, supplied his own cultivation insights, and arranged instruction from Venerable Guiyi every ten years 248 249.

The Eye of the Abyss

When Zhang Junbao became trapped near the moving Eye of the Abyss, Chaos City Lord rushed to the Purgatory Abyss. He froze the surrounding space-time, but the Eye resisted his control and swallowed Zhang Junbao. In fury, he annihilated Flying Locust Marquis and Giant Desolation Marquis 300.

He subsequently sent an avatar into the Eye, only for it to be destroyed. Unable to determine Zhang Junbao’s fate, he left Venerable Guiyi to guard and seal the area while responding to a Zerg invasion. He refused to risk his principal strength inside the Eye because his own disappearance could expose the entire Human Race to attack 301.

Earth and the Fusion Law

During the dispute over Earth, Chaos City Lord supported Zhang Junbao and Demon Lord Luan Shen against human leaders who sought control of the planet. The conflict forced him to question whether serving the race justified failing to protect his junior brother’s home 350 352.

After Zhang Junbao returned, Chaos City Lord examined his unusual Fusion Law alongside Luan Shen and Giant Axe Founder. Recognizing that its properties exceeded their understanding, he approved Zhang Junbao’s continued cultivation in Chaos City and postponed his Highest Points Mission 360 361.

Protecting Humanity’s Rising Experts

Chaos City Lord trained Zhang Junbao with opponents selected to expose his weaknesses. When Zhang Junbao chose to confront an apparent alien ambush, he promised to prevent Universe Venerables from entering the battlefield 409.

He later helped conceal Zhang Junbao’s passage through the Twenty-first Layer of the Universe Heavenly Bridge. He also defended both Zhang Junbao and Luo Feng against accusations of favoritism, explaining that Zhang Junbao had obtained his Supreme Treasures himself and condemning the jealousy of established Universe Venerables 431 513.

In Zerg Territory, he cooperated with Zhang Junbao in staging Venerable Tianhua’s apparent emergence as the “Lord of Tian Hua.” Their false confrontation misled the watching Universe Masters and set the Lord of Sky Wolf against the Master of Eternal Frost 496 497 498.

Wars Against the Human Race

At the Star Tower confrontation, Chaos City Lord recognized that five enemy Universe Supreme Masters intended to attack Human Territory. Although warned to flee, he was surrounded by the Mechanical Race Father God, Zerg Queen, Earthquake Demon Ancestor, Dream Demon Ancestor, and Void True Demon God. Giant Axe Founder intervened before Void True Demon God could finish his attack 570.

Ten enemy Universe Masters then delayed his return by repeatedly disrupting teleportation. His other bodies could not simply replace him: one was in the Universe Ocean, while the Chaos City body had to protect the Initial Universe. From Chaos City, he coordinated humanity’s remaining defenders through the Virtual Universe Network 571 572 574.

After the fighting, he directed reconstruction and strongly rejected complaints about humanity’s retaliation. The destruction inflicted on the Virtual Universe Company Headquarters was especially painful to him because it threatened the foundation left by Original Ancestor 586 598.

Breakthrough During the Allied Assault

During a later crisis, Chaos City Lord watched Giant Axe being suppressed, allied experts facing death, and the headquarters again threatened with destruction. Refusing to remain dependent on others to save humanity, he broke through to Universe Supreme Master in the midst of battle 622 623.

Master of the Milky Way and Demon Lord Luan Shen helped protect him while he transformed his divine power. He then intervened against Northern Xinjiang Alliance Leader, suppressed the enemy’s Space-Time Blades with the Thousand Treasure River, and continued fighting as Black Universe Founder joined the assault 623 626.

His new realm did not eliminate the equipment gap. Northern Xinjiang Alliance Leader used Qiqu Starlight Lake to evade him and attack human forces, while Dream Demon Ancestor’s Strongest Supreme Treasure armor resisted his blows. Chaos City Lord nevertheless held Dream Demon Ancestor back while Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God surrounded Yan Emperor 629 630 632.

Reunion and Humanity’s Expansion

When Original Ancestor’s consciousness was released from suppression, Chaos City Lord reunited with him in tears. Original Ancestor praised him and Giant Axe for safeguarding the Human Race throughout his absence 635.

Chaos City Lord subsequently helped administer humanity’s expanding territories. He lived to see the other five former peak races become subordinate to humanity, fulfilling the restoration he had worked toward for countless years 645.

He also assisted Zhang Junbao’s preparations against the World Beasts: investigating suspected collaborators, preparing to receive treasures from the Two Great Holy Lands, and sending Demon Lord Luan Shen to spread Zhang Junbao’s destructive power into the Divine Eye Clan’s Miniature Universes 647 655.

Resistance Against the Origin Will

Believing that both Zhang Junbao and Original Ancestor had been lost, Chaos City Lord attacked the Ancestral God Sect with the Yan Jun Rod. The reappearance of his teacher’s Virtual Universe later restored his hope 669 672.

After losing his Miniature Universe, he refused to let Zhang Junbao face the Origin Will alone. With Zhang Junbao’s permission, he broadcast a summons through the restored Virtual Universe, calling on experts throughout the Primal Universe and the other two Reincarnation Eras to fight 673.

Personality

Chaos City Lord is stern, composed, and deeply conscious of the consequences of his decisions. His restraint contrasts with Demon Lord Luan Shen’s openly defiant behavior: as humanity’s leader, he treats his own actions as statements of the race’s position 421 422.

His loyalty to humanity often conflicts with his personal attachments. He longs to rescue Original Ancestor and avenge his fallen disciple, yet repeatedly subordinates those desires to the race’s survival. This burden leaves him lonely and contributes to the barrier that delays his advancement to Universe Supreme Master 249 363 537.

He is protective without demanding complete disclosure from those he supports. Recognizing that Zhang Junbao possesses secrets far beyond what he has revealed, he chooses to trust his judgment rather than interfere. He is particularly moved when Zhang Junbao reciprocates that support by contributing to humanity 502 504.

Among humans, he is known for fairness; among alien races, for slaughter. His composure can give way to overwhelming killing intent when his teacher, juniors, or the Human Race are threatened 496 528 669.
