County 0201 Aftermath

Chen Gu shared the Fire Hammer Squad’s grudge against the Tiger Tooth Squad over its ambush in County 0201. The attack involved gunfire and monsters deliberately drawn toward them; Zhang Ke was seriously injured and retired, while Luo Feng also left the squad. Determined to improve their strength, the remaining members invested most of their savings in Class A genetic serum 13 23.

City 003 Expedition

When Luo Feng returned at the Supply Base, Chen Gu greeted him with a firm handshake and enthusiastically welcomed him back over a shared meal. He supported Luo Feng’s appointment as the squad’s lead attacker for the expedition to City 003 14 15.

During the journey, Chen Gu assessed potential sniper positions in their overnight shelter and took the second watch. At Vanke Dream City, he established a firing position at the master-bedroom window of their twelfth-floor apartment base. When Luo Feng’s fighting appeared unusually awkward, Chen Gu suggested that nerves might be responsible and reassured him by admitting that his own hands had shaken during his first visit to a prefecture-level city 16 18.

Over the following half-month hunt, Chen Gu’s precise long-range fire complemented Gao Feng’s command and Luo Feng’s close combat and danger detection. While standing guard at the apartment, he spotted the Double-Headed Black-Line Snake that became the squad’s next target 19.

Revenge Against Pan Ya

For the snake hunt, Gao Feng stationed Chen Gu at the highest available sniper position, with Wei Tie and Wei Qing protecting him. Chen Gu reported that the snake was already fighting three Indian warriors, allowing Gao Feng and Luo Feng to adjust their approach 20.

After receiving Gao Feng’s signal, Chen Gu joined the others at the battlefield and found Pan Ya crippled. He was the first to confront him, denouncing the Tiger Tooth Squad’s actions in County 0201. Reunion and Return to the Supply Base

Chen Gu was troubled by the prospect that Luo Feng’s growing strength would take him away from the squad. Luo Feng reassured his teammates that they would always remain brothers. When Luo Feng chose to continue training alone in City 003, Chen Gu urged him to survive and promised they would drink together afterward 23 24.

Although the squad initially departed toward the Supply Base, its members remained near City 003 out of concern for Luo Feng. They reunited with him after he killed the Iron-Armored Dragon, then helped recover the materials he could not carry himself. Chen Gu examined the corpse’s wounds and the surrounding battlefield, gaining a clearer understanding of the danger Luo Feng had faced 27.

The squad returned to the Supply Base four days later. Chen Gu helped sort the haul and admitted the merchants who arrived to negotiate purchases. He celebrated their earnings and Luo Feng’s fortune, then joined the squad’s night of reminiscing after Luo Feng accepted admission to the Elite Training Camp 28 29 30.
