Glasses had been to Zone 96 many times and knew it fairly well.
At an intersection where few people were around, he pulled Qin Xun off the vehicle.
After getting off, the two entered an alley in the commoners' district.
Before entering the city, the two had briefly discussed what they would do once inside.
First, they needed to find out what had happened in the city last night.
Had Xu Chao, Smoker, and the others been captured or trapped?
Or were they already dead?
That part was simple enough: they just had to grab someone from the Guard Team and ask.
Grabbing a Guard Team member on the street would obviously be stupid.
So the two went into an alley.
Glasses knew where to find Guard Team members in these alleys.
"Just ahead. There's a massage parlor in the alley up ahead. The Guard Team members usually go there to slack off during work."
"How do you know there's a massage parlor there?"
"Old Crab brought me there before!"
"Don't you like Sister Song? And you still go to places like that?"
"Who... who said I like her?" Glasses' reddening face had already given him away.
"Anyone who isn't blind can see you like her!"
"Really? Is it that obvious?" Glasses scratched his head in embarrassment, his face growing even redder.
"Nothing could be more obvious."

"If the Guard Team is still looking for Brother Chao and Brother Xie, shouldn't they be too busy for massages?"

They walked another three hundred meters.
Two men from the Guard Team were standing outside a three-story building.
Standing with them was an exceptionally graceful middle-aged woman.
She wore a purple bodycon skirt and had long, wavy golden hair. It was as if she had two papayas hanging from her chest!
"Brother Wang, come on, let's go upstairs. We've got a new girl, and she's good at massages. I'll have her take care of you."
The man with a cigarette in his mouth shook his head. "I've got urgent business today. Not going in."
"It won't take long. Don't worry, I'll keep your secret!"
"I really can't today. I just came to tell you we're looking for a man in his twenties. He's injured, and he has a little girl and a black dog with him. If you see him, notify us immediately!"
As he spoke, the man took out a wanted poster and handed it to the woman. "Put this up in your shop and let the customers all have a look."
The woman took the poster and glanced at it. "What do I get if I notify you?"
"A reward of one million magic coins from the higher-ups!"
"One million?!" The woman clutched her wildly pounding heart. "Goodness, I couldn't save that much in my entire life!"
"So if you hear anything, notify us immediately. Of course, you can't have the whole million, but you'll definitely get seven or eight hundred thousand!"
"All right. If I find a lead, I'll let you know immediately."
"Then we'll be going. Once I'm done, I'll come back and deal with you!"
Grinning, the man gave the woman's butt a hard squeeze, then walked away while sniffing his hand.
"You rascal, couldn't you be gentler?" The woman gave him a slap on the back, her voice honeyed.
Qin Xun and Glasses exchanged glances.
"Are you sure this massage parlor is really legitimate?"
"Anyway, it was very legitimate when Old Crab brought me here!"
The two quickly followed the departing Guard Team members.
The two Guard Team members chatted as they walked.
Every so often, they pasted one of Xu Chao's wanted posters on a wall.
When the two men looked back, they naturally saw Qin Xun and Glasses as well.
But they paid them little attention and continued with what they were doing.
When they reached a deserted alley, Qin Xun and Glasses made their move!
Glasses moved like a ghost, swiftly closing in on the two Guard Team members.
One of the guards sensed something was wrong. Seeing Glasses rushing toward them, he quickly raised the gun slung across his back.
The next second, a dart flew in from nearby and struck him squarely in the throat!
Before the other guard could call out, Glasses seized him by the throat.
"If you want to live, don't make a sound!"
The man's throat was gripped so tightly that he could barely breathe.
Qin Xun came over and dragged the dead guard into a dead-end alley.
The alley was full of garbage, with nowhere to set foot.
Glasses grabbed the living man and pinned him against the wall.
"Now, answer whatever I ask, or you'll end up just like him!"
The man glanced at his companion, who had died a gruesome death, and gulped. Cold sweat poured down his face as he nodded rapidly, like a chick pecking at rice.
"What happened in the city last night?"
"Some wanted criminals fought with people from the Dark Pavilion!"
"What did you say? The Dark Pavilion?" Qin Xun came over.
"That's right, the Dark Pavilion!"
Glasses demanded, "Why would there be people from the Dark Pavilion in Zone 96?"
"They came last night!"
"How many came?"
"Three!"
"What did they look like?" Qin Xun asked.
"One man was in his forties and wore a black coat. I heard he seemed to be the captain of some squad. The other two were his subordinates, a man and a woman. It was too dark, so I couldn't see what they looked like!"
"That man in his forties, can his Psionic Power produce lots of feathers?"
"Yes, yes, that's him!"
Qin Xun frowned. "It's him..."
Glasses asked, "The one who captured you before?"
Qin Xun nodded. "Yes, he's the one who captured us in Zone 108. How did he track us to Zone 96 so quickly?"
Glasses continued pressing him. "What happened to the wanted criminals?"
"One was killed, one was captured, and one got away!"
Glasses' pupils contracted. "Who was the one who died?"
"It was Li Xie. He was from Zone 96 and ran a weapons shop. Oh, and his wife died too!"
"Old Crab is dead!" Shock flashed through Glasses' eyes.
"Who was the one captured?" Qin Xun had no time to grieve for Old Crab and hurriedly asked another question.
"I don't know his name. All I know is that man was strong. He even injured the Dark Pavilion captain. If more than three hundred of us from the Guard Team hadn't gone to support them, that captain from the Dark Pavilion might not have been a match for him!"
"It was Smoker. Only Smoker is that strong..." Glasses murmured.
"Yes, yes! I heard that Dark Pavilion captain call him Smoker! His Psionic Power can produce lots of smoke!"
Qin Xun asked, "The one who got away, did he have a dog with him?"
"Yes. The whole city is looking for him now. He took Li Xie's daughter with him when he fled. He was badly injured, so we'll probably find him this afternoon. This is him!"
As he spoke, the man picked up the wanted poster in his hand. It showed a photo of Xu Chao fleeing last night.
Glasses asked another question. "Where's the man you captured now?"
"He's locked up in our Guard Team building. I heard he's being interrogated!"
"Is there any way to get inside and rescue him?"
"I don't know about that! Don't kill me. If you're trapped and can't get out of the city, I can take you out!"
"No need. We have a way out!"
Glasses tightened his grip, crushing the man's throat with a crack.
Blood welled from the man's mouth, his eyes bulged, and his body slid down the wall.
